I've used these guys at Hyde Park twice. The first time they reset the front glass on an iPhone purchased off Amazon. That transaction was smooth and the work was great! This time I was in a pinch because the phone looked like it was beyond repair. My son needed it for a trip he was leaving on soon. I sent the phone to them to have the smashed front glass repaired and also the front camera. But USPS let me down and took 9 days to deliver a two-day priority package. These guys - I only know Mike and Aaron but I think there are more - took my problem and made it their problem and dealt with it quickly and really came through for me. They received the phone on Friday afternoon, shipped it out Saturday via UPS and I received it 10:30AM Monday and the phone was/is in perfect shape. My iPhone speaker stopped working so I decided to give this place a shot. I request a quote on Yelp and I was told if I needed a new speaker it would be $60. I made an appointment on their website for the following day. The lady who worked on my phone was very nice. After waiting about 10 minutes I was told she fixed it and there would be no charge! DO NOT let the charisma at the front desk fool you. This place has terrible quality repairs. I got my screen fixed about two weeks ago, for which the guys did a wonderful job of saving my phone, and since then my phone has dropped a couple of times from my pants (what I personally consider "normal use wear and tear") and my phone is more cracked than ever before. They will incite you to buy a case for your phone, but won't tell you that it's due to the fact that the quality of their screens is horrendous. Beyond the cracks which I can live with, the screen stopped working on the top half, an issue which is apparently beyond their warranty. Upon leaving the first time I was told the only thing that wasn't covered was water damage, which is perfectly reasonable, however I was not told that the screen would be brittle enough to break with a flick of a finger. I do think the disclosure should state the fact that the quality of their screens is terrible, and that the case is not suggested but in fact necessary for the use of the phone. OH, OF COURSE it's quite expensive. Just get your iphonr fixed with apple. Did I mention that any fixes done by them voids the apple warranty? read more

The level of customer service these employees offer is stellar, in fact, customer service at this level barely exists anymore. I love their online interface to make an appointment, and they've never made me wait when I get there. They've made excellent recommendations for nursing my iPhone 6 along, which has saved me substantial money in not having to do an upgrade. Their recommendations also cater to individual use, which I find a hallmark of truly great service. I find their rates to be excellent, and figure if I have to spend $100 or so over two years to keep my phone going, that is money very well-spent (my LCD has come off the frame from dropping, among a couple of other issues, also from dropping). Jet City is terrific! My phone was JANK! I'd dropped it too many times, most recently in Lake Superior. Before the lake drop it was already crazy cracked with a thick black line about 1/2 inch wide that blocked out the left side of the screen. After the lake, I was sure it was dead. My husband was POSITIVE it was dead. I requested a quote here on Yelp. Jet got back to me right away. I made an appointment to go in. The shop was fun--filled with Star Wars and other space tchotchkes--and Safe (only 1 customer in at a time, everyone in masks). They guys are charismatic and quick. Despite the fact that the screen was blank--the phone still rang, so they told me they thought they could fix it and I should come back in an hour. After a lovely walk by the river, I came back and my phone was good as new. Seriously. I wish I'd have taken a bet with my husband. $99 bucks for an essentially new phone plus the work is warranteed. These guys are great. I've been a couple times now for a cracked screen a battery replacement and a home button replacement. I just call before I go and they give me a time, then when I drop it off they have always been able to tell me when it will be ready, under an hour in each case for me. They also gave me a bit of a discount as a returning customer, which is pretty nice since they're prices seem really competitive from what I've seen.
