Solid 3 stars. I consistently get a good order as long as i double check before I leave because more than half the time they forget my bacon, give me the wrong cream cheese, or the wrong bagel. I don't see much of a line anymore and when I go even tho it's peak breakfast hours for Starbucks. It also seems like now that they got rid of tips the quality of service has gone down. The vibe is very different then it used to be with college kids running around trying to make stuff fast and good. Now it seems like everyone is only there because they have to be and I don't blame them. Raise your wages AND keep the tips. Why are you acting like tipping is cutting into your money? Because if they have $2 to tip they have $2 more to put in your pocket? Selfish. There is no reason to be completely taking away tipping when some people still want to do that for the people making them food. So 3 stars. Good NY style bagels - nice surprise out west! The everything egg was delicious and there was a sizeable portion of the bacon egg and cheese on the sandwich. They make their iced coffee with frozen coffee cubes which is a nice touch to keep your drink from watering down. Quick line and quick service too. read more

A week ago I stopped at Moe's BB to pickup a dozen bagels to take home. Considering the place was almost empty and several people were behind the service counter, I stood there for minutes before someone took notice, and it was a man who was scrubbing something in a large basin. He dried his hands and came to me I told him what I wanted and he began grab for a bag...I asked him if he was going to wash his hands. His response was negative. I asked to talk to the manager. Just went here with my girlfriend for a quick bite before work. At 10$ for a sandwich I wish that they'd take an extra 30 seconds and get the order right. I love this place. It's normally fantastic. I usually go to the location in North Boulder. Today, however, I tried the Arapahoe location. I ordered a toasted Italian bagel with a spread. When I got it, it didn't seem toasted. The bread wasn't warm and it definitely wasn't crispy. I took it back and said that I had ordered it toasted and it didn't seem toasted. The woman who took it from me was friendly and said they would remake it (which I was already feeling bad about). Suddenly, the woman who made it got angry. She started huffing and said that she knew it was toasted because she had toasted it herself. Then she looked at me and said, "that was definitely toasted!" I didn't get a chance to explain anything and she just went back to her work. I was told there were no more Italian bagels. I said I would just take the other one back, but it had already been thrown away, so I just got a sesame bagel. She and a couple of the other employees were snickering and rolling their eyes in the corner. The woman who was remaking my bagel asked if she should "double toast it." The woman who made my first one said "yes! DOUBLE toast that. I toasted the first one." She wouldn't look at me but just kept complaining. I was just feeling embarrassed and bullied at this point. I don't usually take things back, but I really had a craving this morning. This was a special treat and it didn't seem like a difficult ask, nor such a dramatic problem. The woman who remade my bagel handed it over with a smile and apologized. I thanked her and said that it wasn't really that big a deal and that I hoped that other woman has a better day. Well, the joke was on me because when I got back to my car and opened this one up, it was BLACK. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose or if there is just something wrong with the toaster (the cut side was charred black- the rest of the bagel was still cool). Only reason they are getting a 2 star is because the brand Moe's bagels spectacular. The service at the Arapahoe location isn't the same story. I'm a year old customer and have always loved their bagels but today they couldn't get a single plain bagel with plain smear right. I came here at around 930 am on a Sunday, and it was my first time. I wanted to get a bagel to munch on while grocery shopping. I waited in line for about 5 mins, which was reasonable, but noticed that the staff was pretty unfriendly. There was a lot of eye rolling while orders were taken- I understand that you have to work at this time on a Sunday, but at least pretend you don't completely hate your job. I got a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with butter. It was $2, which is fairly priced. But for a place that has 'bagel' in the name, the bagel was ridiculously bland. There was a normal amout of butter, but the butter was all I could taste. Practically no contributing flavor from the bagel portion. Disappointing. read more

This place is pure deliciousness. I stopped in during my first visit to Boulder a week ago and got one of the tastiest breakfast bagels I've ever had--second only to my dad's famed sandwich, which consists of elk sausage, pepperjack cheese, runny fried eggs, and a crisp, buttered bagel...YUMS. I was quite fond of the loud, busy and bustling atmosphere, friendly staff, and huge menu. After a recommendation from my friend--a Boulder native--I ordered the Denver breakfast bagel on cracked wheat. In no less than 5 minutes I had a hot, fresh, egg green pepper onion ham and pepperjack cheese bagel in my hands. That thing had to weigh close to two pounds! I have been a loyal Moe's customer for decades and for all of the right reasons; the quality, value and consistency of the food, the service, the welcoming nature of each store's environment and the accuracy of the order ALWAYS made my visits a 5-star experience. Fast forward... Many of the qualities that once made me such a loyal customer are the same that now make me reevaluating my choices. Giving the 28th Street location "one more chance" and only a 2-star review, especially in the time of COVID and the challenges of finding committed employees, feels like a betrayal but the the fact that my online order is rarely accurate or well prepared has becoming increasingly frustrating. Moes bagels makes the best cream cheese in town. That's the only thing that keeps me coming back. The amount of cream cheese they put on the bagels usually makes for a sloppy mess, but I'm ok with that because it is so tasty. What I'm not ok with is how rude the service is (These comments pertain to the Moe's off of 28th, near Glenwoood). I have multiple experiences in which the person taking my order rolls their eyes when I order--as if I should feel bad about ordering a bagel from a bagel shop. So sorry I'm making you do your job and giving your company money. On more than one occasion they have messed up my order. I usually get two bagels (or burritos) for my boyfriend and myself and I would say that they get it right about half the time. After reading other Yelp reviews, I'm hardly the first person to complain about them screwing up an order. Which is why I don't understand is why they don't have a better system for taking orders. The times in which the person takes my order and writes it down, it usually ends up being correct. The times in which they don't write it down, or write it on their hand (which seems unprofessional and kinda weird) they usually mess it up. So with all that being said, the only time I go there is to purchase their tubs of cream cheese. I'm over dealing with the snobby staff and getting my orders wrong. read more

I had a verbal argument with the manager and because I had a recommendation for the delivery service that they use, the manager berated me and told me she doesn't need my patronage. The last time I went to Moe's and I do mean the last time, I was charged $1 for butter on my bagel. At current market prices at less than $5 a pound, Moe's prices would place a pound of butter at over $80. Go to Rosenberg's bagels, Boulder: much better bagels and more reasonable. read more
