If I would have even been half that rude I would have been called into the office my schedule would have been reduced not allowed to pick up shifts and then bullied by Ken the manager for probably two weeks. Wow that place has REALLY GONE DOWN HILL. Maybe we were wrong with the time of closing but that's not our fault it's listed wrong online. Def chose the wrong one lol bc I worked there so that makes me extra petty lol. Here's the kicker. We planned to order with in five mins if entering bc we thought they closed at 10:30. Would have been extremely nice to our server. Ordered promptly. Tipped 35% or higher. Gathered dishes on the table to make it easier for server to prebus. Would have paid check on ziosk. Left a 5 star review and a few sentence comment. Anyways here's the clincher. We went to apple bees. They were literally so nice when we came in. We ordered quickly. And will pay quickly. And here's the best part. I'm tipping 100% to our new Apple buddy at Apple bees. Thanks but no thanks chilis. Idky I still Keep giving yall a chance. I'm always disappointed bc it's not the standard of chilis I was held to and that's just sad. Bc I left chilis bc I was bullied out and now all the staff seems like they aren't held to the same standard.

This is a place you go to bring food to work or home after work, not a place to sit down and have a nice dinner. So the ambiance is irrelevant. Service is as good as it can be in such a small place but everyone is super nice and it's stayed that way throughout the years. Honey grilled chicken on any of their options is definitely the way to go (and chipotle sauce as a side or on whatever you get). Very upsetting I could not give this place 5 stars as it is reminiscent of childhood. However I still highly highly suggest trying this place out if you are new to Champaign and want a local hotspot option.

I'm sure I've come across the truck a time or three but don't recall having ever ordered anything. With a taste for birria tacos and an IG reminder that they now have a food stall in Eastland mall, i zipped over at the tail end of lunch hour. Found a great parking spot quickly, had no wait to place the order...and then noticed the menu said birria was only offered on the weekends. D'OH! In all fairness, this was referenced in a previous IG post as well if I bothered to look. As a quick fallback plan I asked if the could make combination tacos with both steak and chorizo on each taco...they said 'Sure'. And even though I wasn't terribly impressed by the seasoning in the steak itself, when combined with the chorizo (and a good smattering of green sauce and a squeeze of lime) it was tasty as hell! A tad pricey ($9) for 2 tacos - which I assume prices for both meats - but they were healthy and it certainly filled me up. I'd also point out that the food court, along with the mall in general, is a predictably depressing and mostly bare bones place these days, with only a Kobe Express stir-fry food stall also still there. It's also apparently a frequent target for vandals, which is even sadder. Perhaps these negatives explain why the business has all but stopped with the social media posts. If you scroll through that history you'll note that they used to try new items (churros/churro bites, elotes, flan), something I thought I might find here around Xmas week, but alas I am thankful that they still offer birria Friday thru Sunday as I should be able to talk the better half into a weekend visit.
