Taco Fixx in Mokena is hands-down one of our favorite places to eat. This family-run business is filled with some of the warmest, kindest people you'll ever meet, and they truly make you feel like part of the family every time you walk through the door. The food is absolutely delicious and consistently amazing every single visit. But what really makes this place special is the way they interact with their customers. They genuinely care about people, take time to talk with you, and create such a welcoming atmosphere. My daughter absolutely loves coming here--or honestly, demands it at least once a week. Great local family-owned business, the husband and wife are very pleasant and welcoming. I tried an off menu special, the Navajo taco, it was DELICIOUS, the tamales were also very tasty, they don't need the enchiladas sauce at all, but you have to try them with the sauce. I went on cinco de mayo and it was terrible. This is not authentic Mexican food at all. Tortillas were hard. The steak tasted like a flavorless pot roasts like the meat was being cooked all day in a warmer. The food didn't taste fresh at all. read more

Taco Fixx, I promise I'll take some pictures during our next visit and share them with my fellow Yelpers. Yelpers, don't wait for more pictures. Just run to Taco Fixx. So our friend from out of town commented on the sign on the building. We talked about trying it for two weeks before we finally headed in for dinner. Our only complaint is that we wasted two weeks not eating great food! Taco Fixx is a small, fast casual restaurant great for dine in or carry out. I won't carry out the shrimp taco again because the delicious slaw makes the tortilla a little too soft when I get it home. If that's the biggest issue I've experienced then I think they are doing pretty good. The pork street taco is fantastic! Their chicken tortilla soup is hearty and great even reheated! The burrito was hefty for the price. If you can grab a pork or chicken tamale...get both. And try both sauces they offer with them. I can't decide on my favorite so I order two tamales and then get one of each sauce. Everything tastes like it's being served straight from my grandma's kitchen. The layers of flavor prove just how much the chefs know what they're doing. The price point feels so reasonable for some of the best food we've tried up and down Ridge Road. Two more important details. First, if you dine in, they serve complimentary chips and salsa. It's a nice touch that I didn't expect at this sort of restaurant. Second and most important, these people are soooo nice! We work hard for our money and I don't like to give it to just anyone. But everyone we have encountered here has been kind and helpful and just awesome. So you mix in top notch service with flavorful food and Taco Fixx is a huge winner for our family! read more

Been there twice now and totally convinced this is the place in Minooka to get Mexican food. Definitely homemade and their salsas of different heat levels appreciated. Good steak in there steak tacos and tamales are super flavorful if on the menu that day. We'll definitely keep coming back. Now all you need is a liquor license! read more

I had takeout, and was a little confused with how they categorize their tacos. But once I got home I was pleased with my choice. I ordered the street tacos, a la mexicana; onions and cilantro only. They were very good! The rice and beans were also good. They do something different with the beans but whatever they did, worked. The server was friendly and patient and the cook very friendly. The place is well kept and has a cool hang out place vibe. I think you will like it, unless you are a hardcore authentic Mexican customer. You may find some of their changes too much. I didn't. This is decent Tex-Mex takeout place, but needs a few tweaks to be better than the rest. It is really too small to dine in comfortably. Prices are fair for the most part, except for the tortilla soup (which was overpriced and flavorless except for the 3 peppercorns I bit into before throwing the rest away.) The bean and cheese burrito with added steak was delicious, with good quality steak. My tortilla chips were stale and tasted like store bought generic. Got a steak street taco, a crispy beef taco and a regular chicken taco. Highlight was the beef taco, it was pretty decent. The chicken had no flavor and the steak was kind of bad. I'm usually only order steak tacos after the first visit but I would skip it here and get the beef, it is much better. Taco Fixx in Minooka IL is outstanding! Wonderful food! Fresh, extremely flavorful! The family who owns it is very nice and accommodating. In other words, the service rocks! They only recently opened up, I've got to hand it to them, the inside decor is very comfortable and inviting! Sauce.. their hot sauce is something that is exclusively them. Spicy, flavorful, perfectly done. I'm from a collar suburb of Chicago. We have plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants by me! Taco Fixx is authentic! They would do great in the big city. Good food, quickly made, and great service. I personally have nothing to complain about as I had a rather pleasant experience. And the decoration, while certainly as grandiose as sonething youbwould find in a larger more expensive restaurant, did add to the experiwnce goving the resteraunt a more relaxed fealing.
