Food is always good but no am used to the staff yelling "Welcome to Mor's," but these people didn't do that

My wife for some reason likes this over Chipotle. I had the adobe chicken thinking it was just flavored. Oh was I wrong. That was the most disgusting thing I've had in a long time. Then I tasted the queso which is literally like velveeta or cheese whiz. I'm sorry there's a reason I go to Chipotle and will never let my wife talk me into Moe's. Decent food. Won't recommend the nachos with double meat. My biggest issue is the screw up on the order. I order a taco kit with steak and chicken and I only got the chicken. I order a set of meals and should've gotten 2 chips and salsa orders and i only got one. Nachos didn't have the double meat I paid for. Only chicken really. Again the food doesn't taste bad but the fact I didn't get what I ordered is just frustrating. The manager tried and offer a queso and Chips but that's not what I was missing. Next time I'll just check everything in front of everyone but I tried to be nice and take the employees word for it but other than that, the fact I'm missing food and wasn't going 30 minutes back to return it is just irritating. Visited Moe's last Sunday for the first time. I've heard lots of good things about the food, so decided to give it a try. The restaurant was very clean. An employee was watching the dining area and made sure to clean tables as costumers left. Also, the salsa bar was very clean as well. The employee's were very friendly while ordering our food. Chipotle style ordering where you go down the line adding various toppings and sauces to your entree. I got a chicken burrito and my girlfriend got a burrito bowl. Each entree comes with a side of chips. A salsa bar with several different options is included with your meal. They also have a freestyle Coke machine, which offers a wide variety of choices for a beverage. Queso, guacamole, and salsa was delicious. Way better than chipotle. Special emphasis on the Queso it was so good! I like the option of Spanish rice -- it gave my burrito more flavor. Everything was delicious and I can now say I prefer Moe's! Went there at 8pm tonight, an hour before they closed and they already had all of the salsa put away. Sorry, restaurant food is way too expensive for me to purchase and not even be able to get salsa with my order. As always, it's a great place to get something fast and yummy. I like the fact that you pick what you want in your burritos. I got a Mr. Moo Moo burrito, it's off the kids' menu, but I can never finish the regular one. I got chicken with white meat, sour cream, and with the cilantro rice. I'm never disappointed. Filling and delicious! I hadn't been to a Moe's in a very long time due to it not being my top pick for a burrito or a bowl, however, I wanted to give it a go. I went with a steak and queso burrito, and picked my wife up a steak salad. I also got a bag of chips and a small side of queso to dip in. I will say that I was a bit taken back by the high price even without getting any drinks. The food was overall good even with it nearing closing hours and the crew cleaning up shop as I ate. I appreciate the patience of the staff as I tried to figure out what to order and that they were cleaning the place well. I was a little disappointed in the queso; it was a bit bland and did not taste very fresh. The chips were also a bit stale but again may have been due to it being the end of the restaurant closing. Regardless, the burrito was fantastic and packed full of flavor with the onions, mushrooms, and peppers added. I'm going to go with the 4* rating and not 5* due to overall good food, cleanliness, but was priced high, somewhat stale chips, and not so fresh queso. read more

I'm a first-timer to Moe's and admittedly I made some assumptions that I probably should not have made being a frequent Chipotle-er. If there's a next time.. I'll know. We visited on a Saturday evening around 9:00. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly and the menu looked amazing... all of the menu items had cute names.. We should have left after my husband observed a person behind the counter move the garbage can with her glove on and come back to make food. He nicely asked her to change her glove and she agreed. I decided to get a bowl.. 1/2 Chicken, 1/2 steak. I loaded it up and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could add guacamole at NO additional charge. I noticed right away that the sautéed veggies looked over-cooked and limp. The meat looked good and I was excited to take a bite. The cashier asked what I had and I informed him 1/2 chicken 1/2 steak so he added an upcharge of $1.19. At this point my bowl was over $10. I was pleasantly surprised to get free chips with my order. Two good surprises. We walked over to find a seat and was surprised once again by a salsa bar. What a nice option. We sat down to enjoy our food... and all the pleasant surprises ceased. The food was sub par. The meat in the bowl tasted like pre-cooked Tyson chicken from Kroger. The flavors that I'd been looking forward to were non-existent. Nothing about the food was memorable or worth going back for. We spent over $30.00 on 2 bowls, a burrito, and one drink. Chipotle has fresher, higher quality, better priced food. This was my second visit here (my first was a fairly long time ago). It's a restaurant that mainly focuses on burritos and bowls. It has a few burritos on their menus that are their recipes but like Chipotle or Hothead they have a burrito/bowl/taco bar that you build (or have them build it more accurately). I went with a basic burrito filled with steak, hot salsa, cheese, brown rice, and sour cream. While I miss the specialized sauces that Hothead's offers the ingredients are very high quality particularly that steak which they seasoned perfectly. Put it all together and this was a darn good burrito. They also have a bar with several different salsa's on it to either put in a cup for dipping with chips or to add to your burrito or bowl. For dessert we got a simple chocolate chip cookie which was a great finish to our meal. The service was very good, the store looked snazzy (I really like their colour scheme), and our experience ended up being a very good one. read more

Moe's is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite in Crestview hills. The employees are always friendly and quick to shout "WELCOME TO MOES" when you enter the door! I usually order two white meat chicken tacos with peppers, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro, and they are almost always perfect. Occasionally I'll get an overstuffed soggy taco but I attribute that mostly to the fact that they're such a quick serve establishment. Plus, I'd rather have more toppings than less. The queso is always great at this location and I live for the salsa bar. My only real issue is the frequency of stale chips. You win some, you lose some. It won't stop me from coming back. read more

Very friendly employees and didn't feel rushed even though they were busy. My kids had the kids burrito & kids cheese quesadilla. Both meals were plenty for my 7 & 8 year old. I ordered two chicken hard shelled taco with onions, peppers, quac, & lettuce. They were very good with a combination of salsas from the salsa bar. My husbands chicken salad bowl was very good as well. Their tomatillo salsa was excellent. My only complaint is that the quac was missing flavor (salt made a huge difference) and their tortilla chips didn't have any salt on them. Love! Love! Love! Moe's! Their line system allows for quick and easy service, and the workers are always kind and helpful. They are also very helpful at this location, some customer service associates these days don't seem to give a ... but the gentleman working there when I went were very polite and seemed to care about their job food was delicious too would recommend this location . Some out of town guests visited a Moe's in Atlanta and wanted to try this one with us. Located in a shopping center with many other food options. Moe's is much like all the other quick service southwestern restaurants out there. Patrons get to choose what goes into their food, giving the ability for healthier options. Food was fresh. I was impressed with how big the scoops/ pinches of items they put into my salad were. It was a nice, solid, salad. My children also really enjoyed that they got to pick what went into their own food. All of our orders came with chips. Lots of chips. There is a fresh salsa bar with five maybe six options. One of the options was pineapple cucumber salsa. I'm not a fan of cucumbers so I didn't try it, but I was impressed that it was something new. Their spicy guacamole was spicier than their hot salsa. It didn't have much flavor other than spicy. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Outside there was a banner for kids eat free on Tuesday nights. A little further out than I would normally venture for quick service food, but if I happen to be in the area I'd go back. read more

I like Moe's food and atmosphere, but I really get confused by all the catchy names they use for their menu items! That being said, I usually get a salad or chicken soft tacos (the Funk Meister, I believe). Everything on the menu can be ordered with chicken, beef, beans, or vegetarian, I believe. And then you have your choice of the usual southwestern toppings: lettuce, tomato, salsa, sour cream, jalapenos, etc. This location is packed on weekdays at lunch time, so sometimes it's difficult to find a table after you place your order. The hard tacos literally turn to mush. Leaving off the salsas and never including a fork or napkin is just rude. Those eating in their cars can run into the store and ask for what was left out. Have only been to this location once but it gets a lot of traffic on Moes Monday. $6 for a burrito and drink and free chips always. This is about $4 less than other days. It is located in a big shopping center. Parking can be a pain. Food was typical of other Moe's - very good. Service was very good. There was a back-up by the drink machine. read more

So, I totally feel like a cranky old lady as I recall my recent trip to Moe's, but, really, it was pretty awful. First of all, I think the names given to the selections are just kind of silly, but that's a corporate decision and the location shouldn't be faulted for it. However, the teens who were apparently running the joint are to be faulted. They were too busy horsing around with other (running in and out of the store, yelling back and forth, etc) to clean up. There was food on the floor, the salsas were disgusting, and the tables were left uncleaned. Not to mention, they were just plain annoying. I really could do without a side of raging hormones with my dinner. As far as the food goes, it was average. It's definitely not one of my favorites, but it wasn't egregiously bad, either. read more

I came here with my husband and we got waited on quickly and got our food in short order. The queso is warm and tasty to where it's wonderful going down my throat. They have one of those automated soda machines that allow you to make your own soda combination there. Looking at the menu was like trying to interpret a Dali painting. I gave up and just started pointing. The burrito came together nicely. And they have a wonderful free salsa bar. Oh, I forgot to mention chips come with the burrito. The only down sides for me were skimpy guac and sour cream portions, and I just didn't like the rice. It overpowered all other flavors in the burrito. The atmosphere is a bit cold, but I found myself chuckling about a few of the clever signs. Always liked Moe's Nachos but the chicken portion has increasing become smaller and smaller to the point that I will not be ordering it anymore. Staff is always super friendly and like the taste but have become increasing more disappointed with portions delivered over this last year. This isn't unique these days in the food industry unfortunately and figure the only way to express my dissatisfaction is to stop patronizing the places that employ this process to improve margins. I get the financial challenges but can't get onboard with looking at advertising pictures and then being delivered something that is not even close. Good luck and I hope this improves. read more

I like that they have nachos and taco salad (complete with tortilla bowl). Try the Billy Barou nachos with steak or chicken, and queso on the side. As chain burrito places go, this is a solid choice. I'd personally rate it a little lower than Chipotle, but better than Qdoba. My most recent meal there was a chicken quesadilla, which I thought was tasty and generously portioned. They had a wide array of toppings behind the bar, more variety than some, including some nice surprises like fresh cilantro. There's also a salsa bar with 4 or so different kinds of serve yourself salsa, including a highly decent tomatillo salsa. The menu is a little convoluted, but my advice would be to just tell them what you want and they'll figure it out. There was a handful of chips included with my quesadilla, which was just the right amount for me. The girl behind the counter said I could just come back up if I wanted more. The quesadilla itself was so full, knife and fork eating was really the only option, but that's not exactly a complaint. For a quick, inexpensive meal option while shopping at Crestview Hills Town Centre, it's a good choice. read more

Welcome to Moe's! This is the second location of Moe's I've been to - the other being in Manchester, CT. Needless to say, Moe's definitely is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. I ordered a John Coctostan quesadilla - ground beef - with lettuce, raw onions, cheese, and salsa. It was probably one of the best meals I've had at Moe's. The chips were sweet (and not too salty) and were paired well with their queso and the various choices of free salsas. Chips are always free by themselves - so that is definitely a great deal. I've had friends who have asked just for a side of chips before and gotten them without a problem - though I'm sure the store policies are different from franchise to franchise. To err on the side of caution, order at least something small and then ask for your free chips! The only knock I had to give this Moe's was cleanliness - which was severely lacking in the dining area. It was 2PM and relatively slow and almost none of the tables were wiped down. But - in the end, it's a fast-food place and I realize that people are in and out quickly and I give them the benefit of the doubt that they were recently off a rush. To their credit, they did start cleaning a few minutes after we sat down. The food was good - the service (behind the counter) was decent. All in all - it was a very successful trip to Moe's. I may make the trip across the river for it again. I personally prefer them over Chipotle (at least the one in Clifton). I may order to go to avoid the dining area, but the food will have me coming back at some point. read more

I had an awful experience, I have frequented this restaurant for years. I was always greeted and treated well with good food and service. This day I was cursed at, wasn't offered a drink, the salsa bar was closed, I found out I couldn't get a drink because the soda machine was closed. He threw my change across the counter and gave me my food like I shot his dog. The man in a polo shirt also looked up at incoming clientele and said "these mother effers coming in here right before effing close". Moes is quickly becoming my go-to burrito place. They have lots of veggies for ingredients, tofu as a protein, and excellent chips. The one thing I will say about this location is that they need more people working. At times the line backs up, and the tables aren't wiped down when it is busy. I just wanted nachos, quick and easy. It was both, but the food was horrible. I ordered steak on my nachos. The entire plate tasted metallic, like a dirty grill. Even after I picked the steak off, I could still taste the metallic dirty grill. I wasted my money, my time, and should have done Chipotle, or Qdoba. I can't get that taste out of my mind. Moe's a great place to eat! When you get there you look at the menu tell them what you want and boom, your foods there. The workers are nice and the place is at a good price. My personal favorite there is the Quesadilla. ALSO if you download there app you get a FREE burrito and Queso cheese!! So overall it is a good restaurant and gets 4 Stars read more

Going to the Crestview Hills location 30 minutes before closing isn't a good choice. Their posted hours indicate that they close at 9, but by 8:30 they've stopped restocking ingredients, have shut down the grills, etc. so you may not be able to get the combinations you request. There were 7 people in line ahead of us but, since most of the equipment was already cleaned and turned off, our wait to be served was longer than usual. By the time we finally got our food it was 10 minutes before closing, and the staff made it clear that they were ready for us to leave rather than eat in as we'd planned. I get that everyone wants to go home, but I know that the owner wouldn't have approved of the treatment everyone received. Not a great experience. read more
