I've been patronizing Moe's of East Windsor for years. The food is fresh and of good quality. The workers are friendly and always greet customers with a "Welcome to Moe's." My reason for a 3-star review is the rapid escalation of prices. Shocked that I just paid $20-plus for a Quesadilla plus medium soda ($3.50). And they also ask for tips during the checkout process. My advice to Moe's of East Windsor is to be wary of driving away local customers (like me) with high prices and upsell tactics. This is casual dining, not fine dining! read more

Stopped in to order and take to go. They have seats blocked off and plexi glass for workers. It's nice to see they are following covid guidelines and it seemed clean inside. My low rating is due to the small portions. I'm glad I checked my bag before we left because I ordered two bowls and they only gave me 2 salsas..... I've been to other locations and they do the same thing where they pre pack the salsa which is great but because this location keeps it behind the counter they try and skimp you. They barely gave any chips and barely as salsa. Luckily if you ask they give it to you but it's included so not sure why they try and pull one over on you. read more

Food is decent, management is terrible. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered a kid's burrito. When the manager saw I was going to eat the kids burrito, she said I wasn't allowed to eat here and I had to leave the store. Really????! Queso? Yes, please. Moes is a great fast food Mexican restaurant located in our quaint little town. Whenever you go to Moes you are greeted with a hearty "Welcome to Moes!" The staff was efficient and was able to get my order correctly. Moes is not an authentic reataurant, but its a relatively good chain restaurant. Recently, I discovered the three amigos chicken tacos, and its delicious! The chicken is marinated and well seasoned. I get pinto beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, and guacamole. Of course they charge you extra for guac, but what place doesn't? My favorite thing about Moes is the queso and chips. I also enjoy the different varieties of salsa that range from mild to hot. I placed an order for DELIVERY on the website, and didn't realize the location no longer delivers, so the order was automatically placed as a PICKUP order instead. I was not notified of this change and the location ended up closing before I could pick up the order. I called multiple times after I realized it was a pickup order, only 10 minutes after closing, and no response. The location threw out my order, refused to remake it, AND refused to refund me my $18, because the situation was "my fault". Incredibly poor customer service. Fix your website, or if you're about to discard a customer's order, CALL them and let them know. In light of this confusing COVID-19 situation, this shouldn't be about pointing fingers and assigning blame to customers genuinely confused about policy changes. I've been a loyal customer for so long, but I will be encouraging friends and family to avoid this location given my recent interactions with the manager's senseless policies. read more

Every Moe's that I've been to was very spacious with a ridiculous amout of seating. I like that all the employees greet you the minute you walk through the door. "WELCOME TO MOE'S!!! WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!" I always look forward to that because no matter how I'm feeling, it always puts a smile on my face. The menu is unique. It definitely takes a few minutes to understand it's hispster spanglish lingo. However, the food is just as unique as their names. For example, they have these things called stacks which is a burrito with a crunchy tortilla, toppings, another tortilla, then folded and toasted. Basically their version of a Taco Bell crunch wrap supreme. Everything on the menu is available in ground beef, chicken, steak, or vegetarian. I thought all the meats were good. Actually better than a lot of other restaurants in my opinion. They have about two dozen toppings, including grilled peppers, onions, and a few other things that I've rarely seen at other fast food Mexican places. One cool thing is that every order comes with free chips. The downside to that is they literally pour the chips on top of your food... Which kind of irritates me because I hate having to dig my food out from under the chips... Speaking of those chips, they also have a free salsa bar that has 5 or 6 different salsas to choose from. Back to the toppings, I must admit their toppings didn't really seem as fresh as the toppings at Qdoba or Chipotle, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt due to it being 30 min before closing. Even if that was not an issue, I just can't seem to get past how flavorless their sour cream was. I wouldn't say this place is bad, but I just can't put it on the same level as Qdoba or Chipotle. I just moved to NJ from Cali and I was warned about trying Mexican food from here since it won't be the same but this place was the worst option for Mexican food. Nothing was seasoned. Decided it was a good night for take out, and we hadn't been here in a long time, so it was off to Moe's! Greeted enthusiastically "Welcome to Moe's" when I walked in! Fast service at the counter, orders were prepared properly and a reasonable price. Had a Wrong Doug stack which is two quesadillas with filling inbetween, wrapped up with a soft taco which is then lightly grilled. It was really good, and I had extra guac in mine. It does sit in your stomach kind of heavy, which is typical of tex mex food I guess. Don't forget to pick up free mini containers of salsa for your chips at the self serve counter. Fairly good overall and convenient, definitely better than the cattle feed trough that is called Chipotle! read more

They deserve a negative i use to come here 2 years ago it was great and now they are just so rude. I ordered a stack and while i was eating i found a hair in my stack and when i showed the cashier she called her manager who was siting with family eating. The manager then went to the family while wiping the hair goes she said there is a hair i don't see it. I literally showed the cashier and again another hair to the manager and she was just rude about it. I got a refund but as i was telling my mother what she said she just came and stood on our heads. INTRODUCTION: I came here for lunch and there seemed to be a good amount of people sitting there. It is next to Wawa and Dominoes pizza, but easy to find in a small shopping center. The menu is pretty simple with all the basics like Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas, and Salads. I ordered the "Bag of Donuts" (which is a burrito, not sure whats up with the name). You do get chips with your order and the salsa bar has 5 salsas that you can get for free also. STAFF/ Environment: The staff was friendly and greeted everyone with a "Welcome to Moes" upon walking in. The decor was typical and seemed to add or subtract for the experience. They also have the NEW COKE VENDING MACHINES which is a cool plus. FOOD: As I mentioned earlier I had gotten the burrito with steak. Moes advertises fresh ingredients with no preservatives which did seem to show in their food. It certainly tasted better than Taco Bell, but still could not stack up with main competitors like Panchero's and Chipotle. The portions were much smaller than Chipotle and Panchero's and were definitely not as flavorful as the other two. The salsas were either bland, overpowered with chipotle smokiness, or tasted like they came from a jar. The pico de gallo was OK though, but is not found at the salsa bar. The steak was not as flavorful as I would have liked and if I had gotten Sour Cream, Guacamole, or Letuce it would have been extra. The chips (not a lot) came with the meal and were crispy and tasted somewhat fresh, but were still not as good as Chipotle's. PRICE: For $7 I got a relatively small steak burrito + salsa and chips which seemed too expensive for the portion received. Conclusion: I would not recommend going to this place, especially if you can go to a Chipotle or Panchero's instead. Unless you are dying for some Mexican food I would stay away from this place, with sub par food and portions. read more

I love Moes but this place location is a joke. When I went there I asked for sour cream on the side instead of on my entree and a side of chips. They charged me for both, when both are included (advertised everywhere in the store). They're really cheap here. I went on a Monday for Moes Monday and the guy charged me full price. When I approached him about being over charged he explained that I had to specify that I wanted the lower price. What kind of logic is that? I told him that it didn't make any sense and he argued with me more. Eventually he made up the amount that he owes me and gave me back a dollar (also incorrect). I was so disappointed when I got my order from this place. I ordered the bowl for $9 and it was no where near worth $9. I wouldn't have paid anything more than 2 for that. The food is really good, though, you used to get way more chips with your order. They also started charging extra for the small cup of sour cream if you order it online. Usually they put it in the box with your food, but now you have to specifically ask for it when you order it in the store. Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience. read more

This is one of my favorite places! All the food is fresh and delicious. The owners are locals and very friendly. Their menu items all have funny names from TV/movies. I love the salsa bar, but the salsa verde is the best! The chips are so crunchy and a great size for dipping. I do not know what happened to Moes in Hightstown. We have been coming to the restaurant since it opened and we have visited other Moes franchises in the interim and never had the problems we experience here with the amount of food provided. The food is good. The service and portion amount is not. There have been declining portions of meat and extras, but the prices have gone up. I find this offensive - charge what the food costs for a full portion and I will pay it. Don't try and save money on my meal. And do not change the portion from what it was when the franchise initially opened. Chipotle and Pancheros do not do this and they are top competitors. Also, the staff does not provide a "Welcome to Moes" when you come in like it used to. The whole atmosphere has changed. I do not know if this is because of a change in ownership or what. And finally, when I was there last the staff making my burrito cut me off from getting extras after I said I wanted everything and then gave me attitude back. read more

They have also recently been messing up pickup orders and barely using any meat. It just seems like its getting cheap over time. I come here for lunch quite often and I love how many choices there are! I'm a big fan of spanish food (even americanized spanish food) so Moe's really hit the spot for me. Their tofu-anything tastes just like meat which makes it really easy for me when I want to be healthy. I love the feel of the inside too. A great place to just chill with friends. What happened to this place? We love the queso but recently they have been very scarce with their chips. One time they even asked my husband if he wanted chips. Um yes. Are we suppose to eat the queso with a spoon? Today I got 2 bowls of queso and only got 1 bag, 1/2 full. I asked for more chips and the manager was so rude! She started arguing with me! "Welcome to Moe's!" is how you are greeted whenever you walk into this place. I get the home wrecker burrito nearly every time I go there but sometimes opt for a mix of hard and soft tacos. They have fresh ingredients and quick service. The floors are slightly slippery every time I go there for some reason but overall the food is delicious. I sometimes indulge and get a side of their signature queso sauce for doing the nacho chips that come with every meal in. They offer pellegrino water for anyone that doesn't drink soda like me. This place is located in a small shopping center off of 130. It's tucked away and easy to miss but it shares a parking lot with wawa and domino's pizza. read more
