If I could give this Moe's zero stars I would. The workers have been always so rude and even when there are no other costumers in the establishment. When I order they role their eyes like I am being a disservice to them. Are constantly rude and will prioritize mobile orders instead of the costumers in store making it take longer. Ah "Welcome to Moe's" that line from this group was kind of weak... I get it.. they were busy getting online orders going a just a few customers. Staff was pleasant enough and I had a few hearing issues (thanks Masks) but it's ok.. I find that this place gets a visceral reaction from people. Either love, hate or a meh.... I'll tell you my feelings later. I've been to other locations.. This is NOT Chipotle or anything you would get from someone's Abuela (grandmother). If you want real deal around here I can give you a list, and places I use to go to in Chicago and when we lived in the RGV in Texas and going over the border to Mexico. If you want real deal. It's not bad but it needs FLAVOR... cumin, cilantro, heat, umami. I was hungry and ate some chips (tasty) with their white queso (not bad but had an odd aftertaste?) than the proteins as always are lukewarm.. every time with any location? I just don't get it.. rice needed flavor and to be hot same with other things. The flour tortillas were cold, I had to put them in the microwave (would have been nice to get some info on how to warm them? But hey that's me) But be aware if you get a lot of stuff or a box be aware you will more than likely you will need to warm it up. They are generous with what you get.. and we will have leftovers but I don't know how a box with 12 flour tortillas and everything else would feed a family of four or five if you have growing kids... it will probably be inhaled. We got a ton of chips with the box and I also ordered something else and it came with chips but that bag had no salsa or pico? I am aware of the salsa bar.. but with Covid I would think they would have tossed it in.. but we had it with the box. Also.. I had no clue where this was.. yes it's on Monroe.. in Pittsford and across from Pittsford Wegmans. Thing is no street sign I had to use my nav and I still went to the wrong place. It's before you hit Leary's Dry Cleaners. The drive where the Vitamin Shop is..it's in that strip mall all the way in the back with a medium sized sign to let you know where it is. I've been here over 6 years and drive by this area a lot and I had no clue it's here?! Oh well. That's on me.. Pros: easy online ordering Decent chips/salsa Decent portions Cons: Proteins are usually lukewarm Taste is ok but needs a punch LOCATION (no street sign I wonder if this hampers business I get it.. it's Pittsford) I find their food a meh.. Placed an order for a business luncheon, ordered 6 items, they delivered 5. Clearly there is no QC check on the outbound (not a big number to count). We then had to send someone to pick up the missing item, so not only do I have to pay someone to pick up the missing item, but I am out the generous tip we left because the store could not identify what service they used for delivery (not good business practice). The first time I called, they said they would get back to me, after 10 minutes I called back, and they said that they refunded me the missing item ... with no plan to advise that I am SOL. FYI, that is not an accommodation, the refund goes without saying, call me and tell me how you will rectify it. Had I not called, they would have left us hanging and one unlucky guest out of luck. Pretty much the same thing happened at Panera last week ... there seems to be no incentive for these places to offer customer service. It seems to be ok to be mediocre ... Suggestion to those who want Moes ... DON'T ... Go to a local / family establishment (in Pittsford, just across the street I suggest Adelita's) ... they have a vested interest in their survival in this very fickle and competitive market. read more

What a fitting experience for my last visit to Moe's! It was absolutely horrible!!! I had a bad experience with the Webster location a few weeks ago, so I had no plans to go to Moe's anymore. I realized I had a $10 reward in the Moe's app, so I decided I might as well use it. I would have been better off eating the $10! First of all, I walked in behind what looked like a family of 4. They literally ordered like 10 things, including quesadillas and things that needed to be grilled. The staff did not know how to handle this, and the line was held up big time! They all had looks on their faces like they had no idea what to do. In this time, the line grew quite a bit. I was right behind them. As I'm going down the line, I see a male employee wearing a hat with huge hair that was sticking out the sides and went down to his shoulders! This guy needed a hair net or a ponytail for sure! If I had seen him when I came in, I would have turned around and left. I have no doubt his hair was in several people's food. And then the cashier tried to help and put gloves on, but she kept tugging on her shirt sleeves with her gloved hands. Some serious sanitary issues are going on here! I had already started my order and I didn't want to cause a scene, so I stayed and waited. And waited, and waited. I was taking the order to go, but it took so long that I knew it was getting cold, so I ate it in the restaurant instead. When I got to the cashier, I used my $10 reward, and my balance was 95 cents. I handed her my credit card, and she stared blankly at the screen, and called over a guy that I guess was a manager. He said "oh yeah, you can't do that, it's under a dollar". No apology or anything, and why can't I do that?? Moe's doesn't even have anything that's under a dollar. And I can get a pop at McDonald's for 99 cents and charge it. So, since it's 2018, like the rest of the world, I don't have any cash on me, so I didn't have a dollar. The person behind me actually offer to pay it for me, which was the only nice part of my visit to Moe's. I felt bad letting him do that, so I dug in my purse, and luckily I had a $20. So I broke a $20 to pay my 95 cent balance for cold Moe's food... By the time I sat down to eat, my burrito was cold. The queso was not hot either, which is really weird since they poured it in the cup long after they started making my burrito. I did not get any, but the salsa bar was awful looking! It had that film on it like it had been sitting there too long, and most of it was half empty. You'd have thought they were closing in 5 minutes, but this was only at about 6:30. I should have taken a picture, but I'd had enough of the place by that point and just wanted to go. Moe's used to be one of my favorite places to eat, and I used to come here all the time. I like that they have tofu, and I like their queso. My last 2 visits here, at two different locations, were terrible. I don't know if all the locations in Rochester are owned by the same person, but they really need to get their act together. My meal was not worth 95 cents. I will not be back. read more

Moes has always had delicious burrito's, but unfortunately they have an entire new crew working the counters who are absolutely the very worst you can find in the restaurant business. They are super slow, very rude, and clearly don't care to provide good customer service. With the high prices of food these days, I refuse to spend money at an establishment with such poor service. After repeated recent visits which have been poor experiences, I feel confident in saying that Moes has lost me, a once frequent customer, for life! This Moe's on Monroe Ave has some issues. The best thing about it is that the staff greets you upon entering. The music is so loud that the team has to ask you the same questions over snd over. The table we sat at was rocking like a cruise ship. The soda machine was broken. The register didn't work. No wonder we were the only people in there! The chips were great!! read more

I think that Moe's is really good. I say this because, the restaurant has really good food. Every time I go there, the steak and ground beef are always super fresh. Also there are so many choices to pick from here. Even when you come here at dinner time, there is still a short wait. On average like 10 minutes. My first Moe's experience, thanks for the birthday coupon! The staff were great at explaining the food building process. I went all out and tried the beef, it was a bit chewy. It's impressive that the burritos come out the size of your fore arm, I wish I had thought about asking them to throw it on the press, to really heat it through and melt the cheese. This has always been a great way to feed my clan "fast food" on a budget when Im too spent to cook, or we have been on the road and can't wait to get home. Just walk in as you are, pick something from the super simple menu, and customize it with protein and fresh veggies. Most everything is avail as a "bowl" so I can skip the carbs :) They seem to have a hard time with consistency despite the great visual recipe instructions along the food assembly line tho. read more

If the battle of the fast food style Mexican chains was a UFC fight, Chipotle would be Ronda Rousey and Moe's would be that other fighter no-one remembers. The service was friendly....even with the loud 'Welcome to Moe's!' greeting I hate. The burrito assembly area/salsa bar were quite messy but perhaps it's because I came in right after the dinner rush. Moe's fell flat on every key burrito component. The rice, beans and chicken were all bland. The queso was okay. The toppings included fresh jalapeno, cilantro, grilled onions/peppers/mushrooms, etc. The second star is thanks to the salsa bar. The Guapo salsa had the cumin the burrito desperately needed. The mango habanero (seasonal) and tomatillo salsas added a bit of heat + acid. Chips are included in the price. Overall, they are going for an inoffensive approach that appeals to the cumin-cilantro-lime-flavour haters. Alas, I like my pseudo Mexican food to be full of flavour without having to add 3 salsas and queso. I will stick with Chipotle. read more

LOVE Moe's! The gracious portion sizes & variety of toppings rock. I cannot believe they actually offer grilled tofu as a topping option. I usually get their rice bowls with sautéed mushrooms, gauc, lots of veggies and then I dump tons of salsa on it at their salsa bar. A healthy and almost raw meal! If you want a delicious & healthy quick Mexican meal, Moe's can't be beat. I love Chipotle too, but Moes' variety & large portion size wins hands down. I love Moe's and this location rocks! The staff are FUN (shoutout to "Chan") and friendly. The menu is BIG and the options are great. I love the chicken or tofu Homewrecker Jr. Their chips are fresh and their queso is goooood. Prices are really good too, considering you get a big meal (that I cannot eat in one sitting). It doesn't have that 'fast food' feeling inside nor will your stomach feel like you just ate fast food (ugh, gross). The QUALITY shines through in the atmosphere, staff, cleanliness and especially the FOOD. The options are plenty--more than Chipotle I think--and of good quality as well. The food was fine. The restaurant looked dirty. Over flowing trash cans. Dirty tables and dirty floor. No excuse since the restaurant wasn't very busy. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu though I typically go for the Overachiever since the other burritos paired with the free chips and Salsa is too much food otherwise. OMG. This is the worst Moe's location. Service is usually pretty bad, but tonight, HORRIBLE! Coming back from the Bill's practice, it took me 45 min to get served. The first server actually fell asleep while serving 5 people in front of me. Not ONCE but TWICE! Everything was absolutely perfect from the staff to the cleanliness of the restaurant. My fiancé and I were greeted as soon as we entered. One of the employees apologized to us for the short 2-minute wait. No apology was needed but it was appreciated. This same employee kindly let us try a sample of their new lime chicken and lime infused rice. Our chips were warm and tasty. The portion sizes and prices are reasonable. Disappointed. The best part was the greeting. The employees could care less that we were there. The kid selling me the beer was 13 at best and one of the managers kids. (Probably illegal as he11). He had no clue regarding the beer options when I inquired. The place was noisy and the food was sub-par at best. I had a pile of nachos with some condiments thrown on and a beer for $11 and change. This is always the place where my friends and I come on Tuesdays after football practice. As soon as we walk in a moes employee greets us at the door and says "welcome to moes". My friends and i don't really pay any mind to that but, when we order the moes employee asks us what we want with a smile and usually the food is made very nicely. There are no waiters but the people who make the food are usually very nice. Every time we leave there is cheese, lettuce, tacos shells, and tomatoes etc. on the floor and when we come back the place looks great. Overall moes is a pretty good restaurant and I would go here at any time. read more

Here's the thing...two very important things to me, 1-customer service, 2- cleanliness. That being said, this place is seriously lacking in both departments. One of the girls behind the counter actually barked at one of the customer's ahead of me. As a business owner myself I know that the customer is NOT always right, but we have to treat them like they are and barking at them is not the way to do that. My wife asked for something on her "stacker" ( that was supposed to be on there anyways) and she got barked at too! And there's another girl who just walks around like she's totally clueless and acts put out when she has to ring you up! I could go on, but let's just move on to cleanliness... Did a bomb explode in here? I mean really, how hard is this job!? Can somebody just empty the garbage already? Or maybe clean up the salsa area? How about the grill/prep area where what I'm about to consume come from!? It really isn't that hard... One man behind the counter, who's name I can't remember, did an awesome job at picking up everyone's slack and he was very friendly. So I would like to thank him, but that's about it. I said to myself that I would never go here again because of the service, but I went back again anyways...I have a great love for salsa.
