Such a strange experience. Asked me ridiculous questions. I repeated three times that we had not closed on the property and he kept asking me why I was waiting till now to do the renovation. Then asked me what the added value to my home would be and how the renovation would change my life. So weird. Sounded like a scam to me. Update: This guy is actually crazy. First things first: MOG does great work. I highly recommend them. Why, you ask? Because my addition is lovely. I added on a closet and bathroom to create a larger master suite. Permits took forever, so as long as you can be patient for the city to issue, the pay off is worth it. Victor is the owner and is fantastic to work with. He kept me updated every step of the way. And was always available to answer any questions and help set expectations. Chris was my project manager and one of the nicest guys I've met, always around to check in on the progress and keep things moving forward. They are both super responsive. Victor's crew is great, very nice, hard workers...and they are FAST! I work from home a lot so I got to see the entire process and it was fascinating to see the amount of progress each day. I purchased all the interior finishes, they include building materials in the scope. They pay attention to detail, the plumbing and electrical work are flawless, the drywall and tile work is beautiful, and I'm really happy with the final result. We passed all inspections along the way because these guys are pros. Of course, with any construction, things might not go exactly as planned, but it was refreshing to trust that the crew will address any touch ups or fixes along the way to make a beautiful end result the customer is happy with. Definitely consider MOG for home additions and remodeling - prices are right for really exceptional work. read more

My husband and I have been happy clients of MOG Improvement services for over a year now. They helped us renovate our last home which included a total master bathroom and guest bathroom remodel . We also painted walls and replaced our floors throughout the home. Victor has been nothing but trust worthy from the beginning. There's a very high demand for his services but he always made time for us and kept to his appointments. His team has an great eye for design and worked with us to use the most out of our space and materials. I find i can be very particular about things and details and Victor was so patient which is what every client needs . He listens! We were sad to relocate for work and leave our beautiful home but have already gotten MOG out to our new residence for appraisals on work that needs to be done. I had a cleaning appointment for 1:30pm and nobody showed. Last few times I used this service I was dissapointed in results but since I had company coming this weekend figured I'd give them another chance since any cleaning was better then none and then they didn't even show at all. I sent them an email about this and have gotten zero replies. As a result, have hux.com coming in the morning and will NEVER attempt to use MOG again and I encourage everybody not to use them either. read more

In July 2016, I hired MOG to replace the shingles on my front porch roof. The house at the time was 11 years old and due to the extreme heat and sun exposure, the shingles had actually started to disintegrate Now, two years later, my roof is leaking and the wooden posts and the wood around the roof are beginning to rot due to the water getting trapped and settling in those areas. I called them 5 days ago and explained the situation to them and asked what they could do to help. They requested I take/send pictures which I did. I didn't hear back from them so I called two more times and emailed them again. I finally received a call today, 5 days later, from someone named William who said they could not help me because it was beyond my 1-year warranty. I explained to him I didn't expect them to do the work for free but at least maybe offer a discount to try to correct their shoddy workmanship. I explained that I have lived in my house for 13 years and for 11 years never had a problem with my roof. Then, they came out two years ago, replaced my disintegrated shingles and now I have water damage. Water damage after only TWO years of laying new shingles?? C'mon guys! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that those shingles were not properly laid. Now, I have to go out and find another contractor to correct this and spend more money. I understand we all make mistakes and sometimes we make bad hires. But at least own up to it and do the right thing and try to make your crappy work right. read more

Nightmare to schedule an appointment. I had their info through homeadvisor and schedule an appointment. The night before they called me to schedule an appointment like if I never had one. I told them I had one and they confirmed it, BUT they never showed. I called and they said they needed to reschedule because all their estimators are out sick. No thank you! I cancelled all I cannot even imagine dealing with them with an ongoing job. read more

To begin, I do not know where they get all of those "certified" 5-star reviews that they post on their website but it is untrue. The first indicator is that they had 11 reviews just yesterday 09/11 and they were all 5-star "fantastic". Whatever. First the pricing - i was quoted an "estimate" of $350, which I thought was pretty high for post-construction cleaning (empty house with some dust and cobwebs), for that price I expected perfection. I was told that a 3 person crew would arrive and it should take about 5-6 hours. When their people showed up it was only 2 and the first thing out of their mouth was "we don't do windows." Excuse me??? After showing them around indicating what I wanted to get done they said it would take 3 hours. So I inquired to the estimate. I was told it was whatever I was initially told ($117 and hour). Unacceptable. I told them to get their boss on the phone. After initially refusing to adjust the price I told him $200 dollars or I send his crew packing. He begrudgingly agreed, but asked if I would post a review. I said if they do a good job sure. As for the cleaning - where do I begin. Even though they did not do windows they did do the frames and sills, or so they said. I had to show where they did not do anything. The ceiling fans and dining room light fixture still had cobwebs and dust on them. Kitchen cabinets had dirt from the tile installation all over them. Inside the bathroom cabinets still were dirty and I specifically pointed this out to them prior to cleaning. The "leader" of the two person crew apologized and blames his "trainee" for doing the poor job. Some advice for his crew leaders - you are responsible for checking your workers performance. After spending 45 minutes pointing out problems that they did the bare minimum to appease me, I finally got tired of it and just paid them to leave. I absolutely would not recommend this services. Ask a family friend or your neighbor for references and get the job done right. read more

As pointed out on another website, when a company fails to get a permit, its a very bad sign and usually not the first time. We hired MOG to redo our deck, stairs and railings. They turned a week long project into a month long ordeal for us. I paid for them to pull permits and asked that they give me copies. They began the demolition of the existing deck and began rebuilding. The crew started off trying to see what they could get away with. The workers asked us to leave our home open so the crew could go in and out of our home to use the bathroom..Answer: NO. Then we were asked if they could run an extension cord in the house for their microwave..Answer: NO. A few days into the building process, I asked for copies of the permits that they were supposed to have pulled. You guessed it. No permits had been pulled!! Our home has a gate and we weren't home. We had given the company a temporary code when they began working and advised them that the code would expire, but they could call us or their office and a new code would be provided. Instead of calling anyone, MOG's workers dismantled the hydraulic arms and forced the gate open, breaking the gate and setting off the gate alarm. I called the office and a project manager was sent out. The project manager told me he would be out in 30 minutes. After and hour and a half he called and lied to me about having gone to the house and the condition of the gate. He had no idea that we had camera's all over the property and that I knew he had not been there at all, that the hydraulic arms were still off the gate and the alarm was still going off. When he did show up, he began messing with the panel box. I called him and told him to leave it alone and I would have our gate guy come and fix the gate. He said okay, but continued to mess with the panel control box. Finally another call to the MOG office got him to stop. There was a sink on the deck that we had them remove. They removed it but didn't cap the pipe. I could go on and on. Promises were made that were not kept. This experience was a nightmare. This company should have given us a discount after what we went thru with them. Victor offered a 2 year warranty as if we would ever let them on our property again. If you are thinking about using this company, I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

Five stars is not a rating I ever give. But every aspect both projects that I did with MOG was professionally quoted, completed and followed up. Initially they provided information on their business license as well as references. They listened to what I I wanted to have done and gave me a quote on what I wanted as well as follow up ideas. They listened so closely that the follow-up ideas they came up with was really more what I wanted to have done that I originally explained. Best of all the suggestions gave me a better project a little less expense. The project leaders were extremely Hands-On and the actual professionals that came out to do the work were on time and very thorough with their work and cleaning up each day and at the completion of the jobs. It is now been a year to have since they did the sheetrock painting and tiling work. No nail pops or joint showing still. Tile work still looks great on both the floor and walls. I asked them to come back out and put up some crown molding. The corners and Joints still look great. Minor concrete work for a ramp outside my front door still look fantastic. They even told me what maintenance I would need to do and how to do it. Pricing was in line with other estimates that I received and as I said suggestions that they had after I told him what I wanted to have done save me money. I was kind of searching for something either negative or neutral to say just because I don't ever give 5 Star reviews. But as I said the estimates were great the work was great and now after a little bit of time all the workmanship is still great. And for those cynics out there like me, no I'm not getting ready to ask them to do some more work for me to get a better price. read more
