I received Invisalign treatment from Dr. Mogavero. While Invisalign itself is great, I would recommend finding another provider. Dr. Mogavero seemed more focused on speeding through the treatment and getting me out quickly rather than ensuring proper results. During the final step of my alignment treatment, he assured me that any remaining teeth movement would occur with the retainers and told me not to worry. However, when the retainers arrived and did not facilitate any further movement, I reiterated my concerns. He dismissed me with, "Have a good year." read more

I owe Dr Frank Mogavero a huge debt of gratitude. He suggested my daughter get a mandibular osteotomy to address the breathing problems that disrupted her sleep, thereby sapping her energy. He recommended Dr. Edward Balasanian (see my review) for the surgery while he would do the orthodontic work. The results are fantastic. My daughter visibly has more energy now and more confidence due, in part, to the positive alteration to her facial profile (though subtle.) He's bitter, not very nice, doesn't care if he hurts your child when snapping in a retainer. After going through full treatment, my daughters perfect teeth... her bottom teeth are crooked and I'm sure he'll blame it on her not wearing her retainer... she religiously wore her retainer as prescribed. On to another orthodontist. Don't waste your time or money. You won't get either. read more

I am truly impressed with the staff of Dr Mogavero. They were ALWAYS available when I needed them to fix something or I had questions. I felt like the staff treated me more than just a patient but a friend as well. Dr Mogavero is a great Orthdontist and I would give his name out to anyone with orthodontist needs. He did amazing work on my teeth & I feel so confident with my beautiful smile! To add, Monica & Stephanie are amazing. They always went above and beyond for me and I appreciate them so much. Warning to all military - do NOT go here for treatment if there is ANY chance you will be PSCing at any time during the length of your treatment. We were told that if we moved, we would only be charged a pro-rated amount for services rendered and wherever we moved that they would do the same to finish up treatment. This is NOT accurate. We had to move after only 9 months of treatment (out of 24 months). During that time we paid off 75% of the total treatment cost and received about 30% of the needed orthodontic work. When we got to our new location and visited the local orthodontist we found out that we have to start ALL OVER AGAIN. We have to start treatment again AND pay for ALL of it all again. There is NO pro-rated amount on the other end. The orthodontist here at our new house told us that she advises ALL military to NOT start treatment unless they know FOR SURE that they will remain in the area for the entire duration of the treatment. The exact OPPOSITE advice we were given at Dr Mogavero's Office, despite asking several times what would happen if we had to move. It is incredibly frustrating to have to pay over $8000 for something that we were originally quoted at paying $4500. Do yourself a favor, WAIT to start treatment if there's any chance you are going to have to move. Despite all of the above, I must say that the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. If we had been able to stay and see the treatment out all of the way, I would have given a 5 Star review. However, after feeling like I just threw away over $3000 despite having asked all the right questions and thinking that I had all of my bases covered, I am less than impressed. read more

We previously used another children's dentist in San Clemente. When our son was recommended for braces we shopped around. Dr. Mongavero's office was highly recommended. He has offices in 3 separate locations, San Clemente, Mammoth and San Juan Capistrano. They always ensure the kids have a note for school and keep conversation. They greet your children by name and always remember them. It feels like my dentist as a kid who saw me my whole childhood from a small town. They really do excellent work at great prices and will even offer Military discounts and accept TRICARE and payment plans. read more

Dr. Mogavero's office was recommended by my dentist after he suggested getting braces due to pressure on one tooth causing it to crack. Upon entering the office you can tell the people that work here care about their patients. Even though I'm an adult and got adult braces (Invisalign), I enjoyed the warm cookies, gaming room, ski lift chairs in the waiting area! All the people from the front reception desk to Dr. Mogavero are nice, caring people that feel like family. Confirming appointments are a breeze and they work with you to get an appt time that works. I highly recommend Dr. Mogavero and his staff for any and all orthodontic care. The staff are extrememly friendly, professional and they do great work. My daughter needed braces and was a bit nervous about the whole process. He and his staff put her at ease and really make the process fun. Dr. Mogavero is an incredible doctor! I know him for 13 years. He took care of my three sons; and I have to say he did an amazing job fixing their teeth! My boys love going to his office! There is so much fun out there! The snowboarding décor is truly phenomenal! There is a room to study with a computer access and a desk. But you rarely have to wait. I can't say enough about Dr Mogavero and his staff. They have been beyond patient, loving, and attentive to my son. My son has a mild disability and they have gone above and beyond to comfort him (and not shame him when he broke his expander only 2 weeks after having it). I would never recommend this ortho. He has an aweful bedside manner. My son is afraid everytime we go to his office. He charges for everything and tries to get you to sign up for multiple phases. The girls that work on my son are unprofessional and sometimes have foul language. There are many better places to go. read more
