Read this review! My two sons have been going to Dr Olsen for the past year and his work has been excellent. More importantly, this week my son had his braces adjusted and he was experiencing pain from the wire irritating his gum to the point where eating was painful. My wife contacted his office the next morning and Dr Olsen personally called her back and DESPITE his office being closed for Memorial Day weekend...and Dr. Olsen came to our house after dropping his kids off at school at 8am and made the adjustment in our living room!!! My son felt immediate relief. As a practicing physician myself, this type of service and care has been long lost. You don't see doctors doing this anymore. I can not recommend Dr Olsen enough. I had braces when I was 12 and wore my retainers regularly for a good 6 years after braces... I'm now 30 and have had quite a bit a movement over the years since I stopped wearing my retainers (including a pretty big gap in my top front teeth). I was worried I'd need braces again - found Dr. Olsen and I'm super grateful I did! Instead of just throwing me back in braces (which would have been super expensive) he proactively explored other less time-consuming and less- expensive alternatives with me. Spent time making sure I felt comfortable with the treatment plan and comfortable with him. He is fantastic! (Oh and I left the first appointment with a treatment plan and scans all dialed in - I felt they really respected my time with their show of efficiency!) His staff have also been so great to work with - super friendly and very proactive in communicating with me about upcoming appointments. Dr. Olsen and his team are simply the best. My daughter Ava was quoted 16-18 months and sure enough we fell right within the quoted window. Ava was a good patient and she was well taken care of during each and every visit. We never had to wait in Dr. Olsen's office. It is the most efficient doctor's office I have visited, I am truly impressed. The office runs smoothly and efficiently. Dr. Olsen and his staff are the absolute best. I am 48 and wanted to make a change in my appearance, but I thought I was too old for braces. His office is brewing with fun, enthusiasm and great energy. I kid you not I've walked in that office in a bad mood and couldn't help but smile on the way out. If you are like me and had some fear about braces do yourself a favor and go in and talk to Dr. Olsen. Worst case scenario you'll have more information than you did before you walked in and you'll most likely have a smile on your face when you walk out. Avoid Dr. Olsen at all costs! He is only in the business for the money! He will try to "sell" you his dentistry. We had an emergency situation and left several messages, but never heard back from him or his office staff for a couple of days! There are more qualified, honest and reputable Orthodontists in South County. His fees are the highest after getting quotes but we chose Dr. Olsen thinking we would get superior service and dentistry, but honestly he is a joke along with his staff who never answers their phone or returns phone calls! We will be transferring elsewhere. Again, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT let Dr. Olsen sell you with his presentation and advertisements! read more

My daughter is a patient at Dr. Olsen's office. I prefer to remain anonymous because our kids go to the same school. My review: 1) Initially had billing and insurance issues. 2) Not satisfied with Dr. Olsen's treatment. He fell short of what he promised! 3) We decided to go to Dr. Olsen because he is board certified but that doesn't really matter. The end result is what matters and he did not deliver. Such a waste of time and money. I'm sure we will have to correct his mistake down the line. 4) Do not get fooled by his sponsorships, ads and presentation. 5) I have spoken with other parents that have children at Dr. Olsen's and they are also not happy with his work. If you are looking for an Orthodontist I recommend looking elsewhere. Don't waste your time and money like we did. read more

My son and I needed new retainers (mine was broken and his was lost). We had just moved to the area and needed to find a new orthodontist. Luckily for us, some friends recommended Dr. Olsen. Dr. Olsen and his staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome in his beautiful office (my son loved the arcade games in the waiting room).
