Colors do not stay on after two weeks. It's not the student... it's the products. . I called the main number to leave a message for the school manager. No call back for several weeks. The person answering calls /scheduling seems to lack customer service that has to deal with anything outside of a scheduling. However if you have issues with the service you have to call within the week or the school cannot fix the problem. On top of that, no flexibility in your own schedule. I understand it's a hair school, but I hope they are teaching basic customer service as well!

I got the paperwork & Debbie (the instructor) got stuck on the phone (all the while making the talking hand motion to me & rolling her eyes), until after 9:20. (Keep in mind that I was there for a full Brazilian laser hair removal.) Once I was excourted to the room, it was the actual classsroom. 3 long tables for students with the table for me & the equiptment, front & center in the room. I was then informed that THREE students would be doing my laser treatment, in sections. I was taken aback, but Debbie assured me that no other students would be entering the room, once I was undressed & undergoing the procedure. (She was mistaken). The ladies all stepped out for me to disrobe & returned in a few minutes. Before they could get started, one of them kicked the plug out of the socket, so they had to recalibrate the laser. In my past experience, parts to be lasered were wiped down with a sterile solution, but they proceeded with out, so I asked about it & was told that unless the client is unclean, they usually don't bother with that. Then most of the actual treatmet when well. I have ZERO pain tolerance, but they worked with me very well (most of them admitting how they handled their own treatments - everything from valum to swearing loudly) & in under an hour my treatment was finished. At one point, another student did open the door & walk in. The doos has an arm above, so it took several seconds to close on it's own. This student who was not part of my treatment crew made no apologies, nore did she try to make an effort to actually close the door behind her. Yes, it was very painful at 1st, but as I told them what hurt & where, they accomated me with adding an ice pack, sonogram gel, & the chiller. I booked my next appointment in 6 weeks, so from this very admittedly anxious patient with no pain tolerance at all, just know that I am so grateful for the recommendation & plan to ultimately have all of the areas that I currently shave lasered at this location.

We even asked about those reviews, and they did a great job of downplaying them. Unfortunately, we later learned those concerns were well-founded. This school is unprofessional on so many levels, from cleanliness to the quality of both in-person and online instruction. Whether a school has one student or one hundred, every student deserves equal treatment and support. The student kit was a joke. We were charged $300 and then weeks later stated it was gonna be over $700 for supplies that clearly did not add up to that value. Much of the kit consisted of inexpensive promotional items and freebies seemingly included to justify the cost. Even worse, my daughter never received all of the training items we paid for. The online hour-tracking system was also completely inadequate. There appeared to be no reliable way for the school to accurately track student attendance beyond logging in and out. The school never provided proof or documentation of my daughter's in-person hours or online hours. Yet, when she was preparing to complete the program, we were suddenly told she did not have enough hours and could not continue unless we paid an additional $750 to complete just 23 hours. They currently have my daughter's hours LOCKED due to none payment which is inaccurate. This was after already paying approximately $5800 for the program, not including the numerous "extra fees" that are conveniently excluded from the advertised tuition amount. Students and parents should also be aware that there have been ongoing concerns regarding the ownership and operation of this school, including allegations of repeatedly opening and closing businesses under different names. Additionally, we've heard multiple reports of students completing the program and then waiting months to receive their certificate of completion, delaying their ability to move forward with state licensing. This beauty school has been a complete nightmare. I would never recommend it to anyone and would not wish this experience on another student or family.

My husband even called a meeting with you to address this with you last year, and ask you to stop threatening us to leave each time we asked about a concern. Yes we were very happy with the Grove and Ms Claudia and Ms Eddy, until the pattern of failure to address the misbehavior became undeniable and my child was choked in Ms Marisol's class and left with a bruise and scratches. The more that happened and wasn't addressed, the more displeased we became. The first year at the grove was amazing, and MsEddy and Ms Claudia treated our first son with respect and guidance and he loved it. He loved it until the school continued to fail to address this other child containing to hurt and threaten my child's safety. ALL of which were acknowledged by you (once I asked what happened) and then minimized. Maybe your teachers need more support and staff to help supervise the classrooms, which have different spaces and are not open concept. The students cannot all be supervised by 1 teacher while the other one is preparing snack or changing diapers. What I asked of the school before you terminated us, was to evaluate this other child's disruption to the classroom. Our request was to know what actions happen when a child continues to cause bodily harm to another. Your response was that these are norm behaviors of children, which I disagree with completely. It is not normal for the same Child over the course of 1.5 years to touch my child's penis, bite him, push and pull him, grab toys from him daily, and eventually choke him and leave scratches. The word expulsion never came out in any of my emails with the school so before you call my facts libelous, please check yours. Your handbook that states an "open door policy" is not honored by you. In an email in January 2021 after we asked to do a visit to meet Ms Nayely since she was new you stated "Unfortunately, we do not plan to have parent classroom observations. They disrupt the routine and send the message that there is a lack of trust between home and school. Having been here since last year, I assume you are very comfortable with Ms. Eddy's leadership in the Toddler classroom and have full faith in her ability to guide her students and mentor her new assistant. I welcome and appreciate parent feedback, but I feel it is my responsibility to observe the classrooms and make necessary changes based on the information provided." Clearly you don't observe well enough if you cannot take actions to ensure proper supervision of the younger classrooms.
