I needed a new stylist since I recently moved to the area... I previously cut my hair here and loved the results so I decided to return for color. I wanted to get turquoise put into my hair, and I've never colored my hair before (virgin hair). Mia was amazing! She explained everything step by step and told me the cost before we ever got started. I LOVE MY HAIR!! She's amazing! She is very knowledgeable and explained colored hair care very well so that I can keep a vibrant look longer. I got the exact color and style I wanted. My hair felt soft not dried out or damaged after coloring, which is great, considering I have exceptionally fine hair. Mia really took the time and care to make sure my hair was not over processed and harshly damaged. I will definitely be returning to see her. She did a great job putting my mind at ease. The staff is so friendly and the salon is exceptionally clean. I definitely recommend you come in and see them. The stylist are very well trained in the art of hair. read more

We made an appointment for 4pm and we were both taken back by our stylist within 5 minutes of that time. When I arrived, the salon was nice and clean and had a very pleasant smell. Nice music softly playing. The receptionist was friendly. She offered us a drink (water, Coke, tea). This review is for 2 stylist: Annette: Annette did my hair. She was so upbeat and friendly; she had great energy the entire time. I felt confidant after showing her a picture of what I wanted. Even though she saw I had a water, she offered me an adult beverage. Red or white wine, hot tea, or a beer. I chose the red wine. It was nice and relaxing the entire time. When she washed my hair, after coloring it, she placed a hot towel over my hair and slowly massaged and pressed on the back of the neck, releasing any tension. The hair washing chair was was very comfortable. I almost fell asleep. Blow dry with the round brush and offered me another glass of wine (which I declined). I'm very happy with my experience here and I will definitely be back. Gabriel: My daughter had her hair done by Gabriel (Gabe) red to blonde hombre. She actually requested him after watching him with another client a few months back. He was so upbeat and immediately made her feel like they'd been friends for years. She showed him the picture of what she wanted. He was ecstatic with her choice, even getting more excited when she showed him a super edgy haircut she'd been contemplating. You can tell he LOVES to do hair and sees it as a work or art. And knows his name is branded in the work he does. The hombre came out perfect. This is a technique that she's had done before and other stylist have failed. We were very pleased with the way the color faded from a dark red to blonde; no straight lines. No mistakes. I recently went to get my hair cut for the first time with Hannah, great experience. I was a few minutes early but she took me right away; talking with me on what I wanted in a cut. She gave me a great shampoo, with a chair you didn't break your neck in, more like sitting up. She used the Aveda products and love what the shampoo and conditioner did to my hair. As Texas heat can dry your hair out, the cut has been easy for me to style my hair. I will go back and like the idea salon is 5 minutes from my home. Staff was very helpful and helped me finding products to use at home. I only gave 4 stars as I need more time to evaluate my future visits. read more

Really wanted to like this salon. Went in for a hair cut. It was actually more of a hair trim because it was MAYBE just a couple inches i needed off. I just asked for an above the shoulder, even cut. $80 later (just shampoo & cut) my hair was TOTALLY uneven. The front was longer than the back and the back wasn't even. I was appalled at the HORRIBLE cut and expensive price. I went home and fixed it myself. I cant believe this is a professional salon. I've had better cuts at a supercuts‍ read more

I scheduled a 10:00 for eyebrow waxing. When I arrived the wax room was still in use. Angelica came out to tell me it would just be a few more minutes and introduce herself. It was my turn before I knew it. Angelica took her time and paid great attention to detail. She even got a few stray chin hairs. She was friendly and let me know about other services offered in the salon. I am very pleased with the results. It was also Wax Wednesday so I got half off my waxing service. I will be back. I've been researching hair salons for several months, reading reviews on different sites, and really liked what I heard about Xanadu, so I gave it a shot. The day I tried to contact them on Facebook Messenger they were closed, but the lady (can't remember her name) who handles the questions on Messenger took care of me anyway. She asked a couple questions about what I was looking for and set up an appointment for the next day with Hannah. I had a good experience from the time I entered until the time I left. Everyone was professional and friendly. I showed Hannah pictures of what I wanted, she asked pertinent questions, and she delivered a great cut. (If you haven't been to Xanadu, they put a hot towel on your head while conditioning your hair - feels amazing!) I will definitely be back to see Hannah! read more

I had just moved to the area in January and had a very mediocre haircut at a different salon, with lots of areas of my hair that would not lay properly and looked fragmented. I recently got my hair cut with Hannah to clean up the mess and she was great! She took her time with every strand to make sure it laid properly. It is now much easier to care for. Visited this salon from out of town. My mom & I were in town for a wedding and the week prior I broke my wrist. Because it made it difficult for me to wash and style my hair, we decided to schedule appointments and went here as recommended by the bride. Gabriel did my hair and Annette did my mom's. Both of them were awesome! Polite, listened to what we wanted, and fun to spend time with. They also served mimosas while we were getting our hair done, which started the wedding fun off for us a bit early! If I am ever in town again I will definitely be returning! read more

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE AT THIS PLACE. Incompetent, unprofessional and desperate for business. Owner's excuse for my roots still BLACK after I paid money to have highlighted was that I was on my "phone and walking around with son so foils slipped." After I called to get her full name for a newstory, she told me that she will tell people I have "stinky and dirty hair." (30 mins before hair appt I worked out at CAP CrossFit.) I know there are SO many more battles in life to deal with, trust me I know...I have a few bigger things I am dealing with myself. But, I am a business owner and if someone came to me and said that my agent was not doing her job, I would make sure my client was satisfied, not make excuses and tell them their house is "dirty and stinky." read more

I arrived on time but the wait was half hour. Front desk a bit slow at the greeting. Once I was in the chair Annette was a miracle worker. This Houston Chia Pet Hair I had been trying to tame since I got here was tamed. The shampoo and blowout was exceptional with the AVEDA products. I have never been here before but decided to give it a try so I made an appointment for a pedicure. I made it for 11:45 and I had a hair appointment at 1:00 about 10 minutes away so the timing should have been great. I arrived right at 11:45 and was told by the receptionist that it would be a 10-15 minute wait because "she's running behind." I informed her that I had an appointment for my hair at 1:00 so she informed whoever it was that was supposed to be doing my pedicure and then came back and said that "she's going to hurry." Twenty-five minutes later I'm still waiting with no one even remotely appearing that they are close to calling me back from the waiting room! I just got up and left and made an appointment with another spa. Absolutely ridiculous! I will never come here again. Do not go here. They will not respect your time. read more

Just got back from a wonderful experience at this salon. I had hi light,low lights and a cut done by GABE and the results are awesome. He fixed some previous color issues I was not happy about at another salon. He has great ideas as well. I am fairly new to town and never thought I could get such quality service in this area. I saw several other cuts that the other stylist was doing and they also looked great when he was finished. They use great products (Aveda), the place is clean and reasonable. Thanks GABE! read more

I had a horrible experience with Melissa. She was completely indifferent and paid NO attention to me or what I wanted. I tried several time to show her pictures Of what I wanted both in color and cut. She was so preoccupied and every time I asked her something she would just appease me. There was no conversation or any connection whatsoever. I cannot believe that this is an Aveda Salon. What a disgrace. I had highlights and color. It came out horrible! There were reddish tones which I distinctly said I didn't want. The color was at least 3 shades lighter than what I wanted. The cut was all uneven and way shorter than I wanted. It was hard to tell until I got home. When I realized how badly it was done, I called to have it fixed and left a message, but I never received a call back. Just as well, you can't grow back hair overnight and who wants to go back after that? But still, they chose to ignore my call. Not cool! It seemed that Melissa just saw me as an old lady who didn't matter. I tried starting a conversation but got nothing. But it didn't seem as though she had much skill. Don't know how this salon praises her or anyone. Even if she is skilled, she didn't care jack about me and that's just not "Aveda" quality. So disappointed! I always counted on Aveda salons, but this is unacceptable. I should really let Aveda know how disappointing this salon is! read more

Went for the first time Saturday May 19 as a gift certificate was given to me for a hair cut and color. I am a light blonde and told the lady I want to keep it beige or caramel colored, not platinum or white as I am older and my skin tone would not look good. She proceeded to put white Aveda bleach on my hair and let it sit for at least 45 minutes. I didn't know it was bleach at the time as she was doing the treatment then she said I have to put on toner to tone it down. I said why can't you just color in highlight and lowlights like I have always done in the past for like 25 years and she said that is how we do it here with these products. When she rinsed it out it didn't all come out. She said I am going to blow dry your hair first before cutting it. Wth never has my hair been cut dry so it doesn't fray the ends. I asked for long layers and side swept bangs and face framing layers .... she gave me on little layer in he back and then chopped my bangs so they are uneven and never touched the sides. When she finally turned me around to finally see it I told I look like Jay Leno in the tip of my head was completely white!!!! Exactly what I said I feared!!! The styling was horrible and underneath in the back there is a long wide totally white path to where I could not put my hair in a ponytail if I wanted. And the product was never fully rinsed. I told her it felt like 6 days of mousse or something was stuck in my hair. She said just go home and condition it and use gold blonde shampoo that would help. Why would you ever send a client home looking like shit and worse than when they came in? I was horrified and cried the whole way home ...... never never ever again will a single person on that place ever come near me. read more
