It is now 5:30 pm and we're suppose to be at the hospital at 9 am. Three weeks ago they called me the day before to cancel his office visit because of authorization matters. I called the referral and authorization department and they had never heard from anyone. I was given the exact number to give them to call with the correct person to speak to....still nothing...I called three more times....nothing....I got a call later saying that we can come in for the appointment the authorization was never needed. #UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so nervous, but again, she has such a wonderful bedside manner, and she put me completely at ease. She discovered my issue and put me on antibiotics which cured me completely. This is told to you in front of the entire waiting room as they tell you to pay $300+ (not telling you this before you arrive so you're not prepared) or you cannot be seen and treated. I would NEVER go back here or recommend this office. We already paid this office almost $1000 and then could not be seen to be treated for abnormal findings since we couldn't pay another $300+ on day of appointment (that we were not told would be due in advance). I understand providers must be paid for services but it is essential when reminding patients of appointment times in advance to also let them know what amount of money is expected to be paid before being seen as well. And to withhold care if someone can't pay you an additional $300+ When they have already been shown to pay over $1000 is is sad.

I feel I was prematurely discharged, was yelled at by their nurse practitioner prior to discharge, then and upon discharge, I was given a prescription that was impossible to fill, despite the hospital being aware of the difficulty. The lack of urgency in addressing this issue was concerning and reflects poorly on the standard of care provided, as it left me with NO pain medications post-operatively. I urge individuals to explore alternative options for their healthcare needs in bariatric care, as this facility falls short in delivering satisfactory post-operative care & support. All she could tell me is that I needed to avoid sugary foods, sweet tea, sodas, lemonade, this AFTER I told her I didn't do sugar. She told me she promised that if I avoided sugary foods that I would lose weight. I understand that I'm overweight, but all of my issues came on me BEFORE I "got fat", and I DON'T eat sugary foods, drink sweet tea, soda, or lemonade. If I am forced to see her again I will not go back to this office. It's a shame that a wonderful office would be degraded by a rude nurse practitioner.
