When you're in your mid-30s and you own an apartment, things like getting your windows cleaned by a professional is as exciting as it was to drink a round of Jager-Bombs with your buddies back in college. Some may say that's a sad and pathetic development, and they're probably right. But at least I'm sad and pathetic with a beautiful, streak-free view of the Freedom Tower from my living room. I cast the inquiry out to dozens of window cleaners via Yelp's Request-A-Quote feature, and Moisha won the job easily with a quick response time and competitive price that was better than others doing the same work. One of his guys came in and whipped through nine windows in about an hour, and it was pretty much night and day. My building doesn't do regular outside cleanings, so I definitely don't miss staring through caked on dirt when watching the sun set to the west. Fast forward to the actual appointment of today. Igor arrived nice and early. He worked quietly and neatly and did an outstanding job. He was also extremely friendly and respectful, which is important when strangers are coming into your home. Really great communication on Yelp, questions answered, appointment set up right away. The gentleman arrived a little early and was really a lovely person, did a careful, complete and thorough job. Respectful and polite; even asked first if it was OK to dump out the dirty wash water down the toilet at the end. The windows are sparkling. Very impressed that he tried to make sure we understood each other! Since he didn't know some words in English, he had me speak words into his phone and they were translated into Ukranian. He was a really easy going and friendly guy who works efficiently. One comment: would recommend that you guys travel with a small ladder or something, I have not moved into the apartment yet so it is pretty empty still. He needed a step or ladder but I did not have one. The only thing to stand on was the radiator cover. which had just been newly made. It worked out only because the cover was very long and could be moved from room to room, but not the ideal solution. He was very careful not to bang any walls/doors as he moved the radiator cover into the bedroom and I really appreciated that. He worked fairly quickly and did not make any spills or messes on the windowsills etc. Am very pleased and would definitely use Moisha's again. read more
