My son signed the contract at the time of installation so the account was in his name. I own the home and paid the bill but they would only allow me to be authorized on the account. Mojave Wifi is better than nothing,, or Hughes net. But barely. Now and then there are good days when I don't get disconnected very often, then there are many many bad days when I get cut off numerous times a day. I don't have a clue as to why, since the weather does not always seem to be the problem. I pay for the $70 package yet I very often have major problems downloading large files. I sometimes have to try multiple times to download a one gig file. I believe the record is seven attempts, then I see the ever so common failure message. VERY frustrating indeed.. About a year ago, one of the techs came out and installed the so called, better radio, but I still have major signal failure issues. I am definitely looking forward to someday getting what I am paying for, or, a more reliable service provider. read more

I've had Mojave Wifi for several years. They perform at a level below 3rd World Countries, and I speak from experience living in 3rd world countries. I have no choice because I live in a remote area.... If I had a choice, I'd drop Mojave Wifi the way they drop me. FAST. If worked for them, I'd resign in disgrace. They are that disgusting. I bought an electric foot pedal from Harbor Freight Tools so that I can re-set my router as the signal fails so often that it is troublesome to find the power strip, and flip the switch. You see, the Mojave WiFi's signal will drop constantly. Sometimes it's for a few minutes, and sometimes it's for a few days. When you call them, they are polite. They will tell you it is because of the "rain", because of the "wind" because there is a storm on the "sun" because Obama farted. At one point they told me that they lost a tower? Did they find it? Call & complain, and you will be told that you need a "service call". They will send a guy to your house, and then your next bill will be $150.00 higher. Have had their service for almost two months now. customer service is excellent, installer was polite, and they were very upfront about the issues in my area. Unfortunately, they are in internet service provider in only the narrowest sense of the phrase. I cannot get the speed I'm paying for, and have not since the day the installer was here. Video lags and buffers constantly, online gaming is simply not an option, and even loading certain web pages drags noticeably. I certainly hope they invest in more towers before Time Warner invests in more cable, because I would like to support this company. But when it's all said and done, an internet service provider needs to provide some internet service. read more

Mojave Wifi has always been a wonderful service. The reviews from two years ago were correct in that it was difficult to get an apt, and getting hold of a live person was also challenging, however, the internet speed is what kept me as a customer. Presently, there has been wonderful customer service and a quick response to any problems that may arise. I love Mojave and I have been a customer for over five years and I will not think to go anywhere else. Recent "upgrade" results in voip outage....unacceptable response time to correcting a problem mojave wifi created.....they accept it is them that caused it (unusual with isp) However...customers that use voyage (not new technology) or basic talk (also not new) HAVE NOT HAD PHONE SERVICE FOR 9 days......hope no one has a medical emergency While the engineers are "working" on restoring service......open the port!!!!! Mojave Wifi pretty much has a monopoly if you don't want insanely low data caps. The service is fine often but the prices are insane, its 2015 and I am paying 70 dollars for "broadband" 3megabit (384kb) connection down and 1 megabit up. Broadband was reclassified to be a minimum of 25 megabit down months ago but they still advertise otherwise which is not ok. I am a gamer and watch lots of videos and Netflix, if I am the only one in the house using the internet, its sometimes fine but very often terrible. One moment I can be watching videos in 720p(1080p is impossible without letting it buffer forever) and playing on a LA game sever with around 30 ping which is ok, next minute I'm fluctuating between 100 and 1000 ping which makes games unplayable and can't watch videos in the absolutely awful YouTube quality of 144p. The price you pay is upwards of 50 times more expensive(dollar per megabit) than you would pay for normal cable with insane instability. The first few months the service was almost 100% stable, I suspect they throttle you intentionally or give you equipment designed to fail so they can charge you another 200$ to come for a "service call." They are currently your only option cause American ISP's are the biggest crooks there are and until there are serious policies put in place to prevent horrible service. This service could be better, its chosen not to be. Maybe I am wrong though, but whatever, 3megabit in 2015 is painful and cringe worthy. We are moving on to 4k in the coming years and this service struggles with 720p at the best of times, and struggles loading webpages at the worst. But again better than a 20gb cap with constant 800ms ping that throttles to dial up speed 56k... I find myself hopeful of a free speed upgrade, I would be so happy for 15megabits, but still at 70 dollars, I understand we are rural but for 70$ I should at LEAST be getting 50megabits down and up, while people who are not rural get 100 megabits for 50$. Your only choice in usable internet, fuck you pay us. These guys mount a dish on your house, and beam the signal to you. Poor service is 30.00, and you can upgrade from there. They also charge you $200.00 up-front to install the dish. After about one year, your service will suddenly drop or stop. When you call, they will tell you that you need a "service call". Another $200.00. And-so-it-goes. The service is hit & miss. They will tell you "the wind is blowing", "it's raining", "there's a solar storm on the sun"....the excuses are silly. But, if you live in the sticks, you don't have many choices. You take the abuse or you go without internet. If I ha a choice, I'd be using another service. read more

Mohave WiFi is a rinky dinky unprofessional operation. Tina and tech Vince lounge around like high school slackers answering phones and keeping commitments only when convenient. If you decide to do business with them, be prepared for messages not being returned, leaving lots of messages, long hold times, and appointments cancelled at the last minute. Terrible customer service. They never answer their phones and emails take multiple days to get a response. Every time my internet quits working I send an email asking for help and go without internet for a couple days (still paying my bill) and then magically poof it turns back on. A few hours later I get an email asking how they can help with my service. I pay $100 a month for their "high speed" internet and my phone with 2 bars of signal is LIGHT YEARS faster than their service. Cancelling my contract as soon as possible read more

We've had Mojave WiFi for a couple months now and it's working great. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The download speed is decent, although we do have to plan ahead and download the "on demand" items we want to see. We had a bit of a rocky start with the up front costs, but their billing department has worked with us to straighten things out right away with no interruptions to our service. Overall, an EXCELLENT company to do business with. read more

I would be better off throwing $80 out my car window every month. Every single night, my service goes from 3mbps, (which is the highest they offer), to .25. Can't stream movies, can't even open a browser because it times out or network is not available. They close at 4PM everyday so, when people are home in the evenings trying to watch a movie after work, the service stops working and they are conveniently unavailable. Out of four messages left in a month, (I have to leave voice mails since they rarely answer their phones), only one was returned. And when it was returned, the woman on the phone had no idea how to fix the problem and was trying to tell me I must be doing something wrong. When I first signed up, I had a very nice experience with a young woman over the phone who sold me the service, and I was happy to patronize a local business. That was the last time I was happy with this company. Unfortunately, my home is not wired for cable or DSL so this is truly my only option for internet. That is the only reason they have kept my business thus far...and they know it. If they had any competition whatsoever they would, surely, offer better quality service, technicians and customer support. I paid less money for internet at my last house for a company that offered 5 times the speed and 24 hour customer service. I am doing everything I can to find another option and cannot wait until I do so I can cancel with this atrocious company. read more

Don't invest in a dying company, Mojave wife was an excellent company four years ago, but they have been deteriorating. They said that I was having internet problems because a tree had grown in between my dish and their antenna. I tried to explain that the lag spikes issues are only in the afternoon and that its excellent in the morning. They said that it's science and that you it needs to be done. So I paid them 150$ to have the tech come out and move my dish to fix the problem. Lone behold the problem wasn't fixed. Then when I called and said that I was still having problems and please fix it. They replied "we have determined that you are not serviceable and are coming to pick up our equipment such and such date and time". Then I asked for a refund and never got it because I "paid for the service of moving the equipment". I now realize that the problem I was having is that their small business is getting too congested and out dated. They are needed to upgrade their equipment and they're seemingly just looking for quick bucks before they go under. That might also explain why there is no contracts with them. read more
