Having the perfect experience at Mojo's! The service is exquisite. We got a choice of two well-described drip coffee flavors, presented with class. Beans roasted within the week in Chicago! Very tasty and had an option for almond milk creamer. The avocado toast with poached eggs and microgreens looked like the only thing you'd ever want to eat, and my lemon lavender waffle with kiwis and strawberries was off the hook! Had I written this review a few months ago, it would have received 5 stars! They seem to be suffering from their own success. I understand that they are opening another location but PLEASE don't let this one fall down. The food is exceptional, no doubt. But with the new staff in place now, the tables are dirty, I no longer get water when I sit down and the warm personalities that I had grown used to are gone. I asked one girl for water one day to go with my food and she looked at me like I had asked her for a kidney! I really want to continue having lunch here but won't if it just turns into another dirty coffee shop. read more

It's quite expensive because it's in downtown but it is as good as it can get there. The avocado toast is just so so but the presentation is sure pretty. The salmon lox is so good, they actually used quality salmon. The coffee, well it's good and balance. Recommend this place if you need a breather in downtown. read more

This place felt like an upgraded Starbucks. The drinks and sandwiches taste much more fresh and filling than mainstream places like Dunkin & Starbucks. I'm not sure yet if it's worth the price but the carrot cake was a must buy. The cream cheese frosting has some coconut flakes and the overall dish was very moist and didn't have that overly sweet taste. The raspberry tart was such a disappointment, it tasted like chocolate jello pudding with a basic biscuit and raspberries. read more

I love the tomato and peanut butter sandwich (juicy tomatoes perfectly seasoned match well with the peanut butter and substantial bread), the curried cauliflower and hummus sandwich (the slivered green onions add just the right flavor), and the beef cheek and poached egg sandwich (in a nice, savory sauce). The coffee, tea, and smoothies are all top-notch. The service is a step above. A bit pricey, but no pressure for tips and truly a deluxe experience. read more

This coffee shop is right across from my work so I go here quite often! The atmosphere is perfect- bright and refreshing from a long work day- and the complimentary gummies are the best perk! Coffee is pricey but it's very good and high quality. 4 stars instead of 5 because I would love if they had gluten free bread or really any options for gluten free folks. Pros: The cashiers are very friendly. The coffee is good and the price for coffee is comparable to any other coffee shop. Cons: My lower rating is due to the slow service and the small serving of food for the price you pay. Every time I have gone in there (about 5 times now), I have ordered the avocado toast and it has taken about 15 mins every time to get it, which sucks when you just want something quick to take back to the office and eat. The last time I went there I could not believe that I'd paid almost $10 for a small slice of bread (smaller than your typical store-bought bread slice) with avocado so I haven't gone back even though I am basic girl who loves avocado toast. read more

New favorite cafe when I'm in the area. Simple, sweet, well designed, and the staff are phenomenal. Upon sitting down, you are served a glass of sparkling water with any needed utensils and napkins. Your food arrives fresh and well prepared. The coffee is delicious, and the beans are nowhere near burnt or uncared for. The tables and staff work areas appear extremely clean and intentionally organized. It really shows that a lot of love went into this place, and the folks that work here work hard to maintain the look and feel of an approachable yet extremely modern and professional establishment. Bought a breakfast tart (greens and cheese etc) to go and it was ice cold in the middle. Very disappointing. Was counting on it for breakfast and had no time to go back due to meetings. Coffee was fine. They need to get this right. I did call and leave a message but have not heard back from them. I will edit and update if they return the call. Update: got a note from the manager offering to make it right. Was back in Chicago a few weeks later and they made good on the breakfast. Everyone makes mistakes so the test is how you recover. I have been here a couple of times for coffee and lunch. I appreciate their coffee--strong espresso with just right amount of milk/foam, which is a rare find in the city. Their food is in general overpriced. I have had smoked salmon salad and a grain bowl. While the ingredients are fresh and the taste is not bad, I think it's still too expensive for the amount of food you get. Also, the food can be a bit of wait by Loop lunch standard. Maybe I keep catching them on off days? Today they forgot about my order (a "steampunk" coffee, which was over $6) and by the time tit came it had cooled considerably. Another visit I had one of the two featured brewed coffees and a pastry - each fine but nothing special. They make a cortado in an espresso cup and it seemed much stronger than those I've had elsewhere. On the plus side: the ambiance is truly nice, the tasting notes for the coffees I've tried were dead-on, and yes, they're a nice alternative to Starbucks. read more

For that next coffee meeting...come to Mojo. The space has a great vibe...ideal for informal business meetings. They serve a lovely cappuccino with a sprinkle of cocoa. For the drip coffee crowd, they brew a mean cup whether drip or steampunk. Food is of the farm to table variety - simple, fresh, delicious. The granola is amazing and who knew poached eggs on toast could be this good. They bring your drinks and food to your table...such a nice change from standing around waiting for you order to come up. read more

I thought it was just fancy coffee, and then my coworker took me there for lunch. Oh my goodness. The food was so fresh, my tastebuds were so happy. Now I don't think I can eat anywhere else downtown. There is so much love in the food. The amazing chef makes everything fresh right in front of you. I had the Tunisian egg bowl, which was an open faced sandwich with fresh eggs, grilled veggies and spices on amazing sour dough bread. It seems like most of the menu is Turkish and North African. I can't wait to try everything. And there is a lovely sunny eating area if you need be a human and not eat at your desk. So lovely. I gave 4 stars because I wasn't that impressed with the coffee, lots of fancy speak but pricey and very small servings. Go for the food. read more

Coffee is expensive but this might be some of the best in the city - coming from a true coffee snob purist.

Gotta say I'm super impressed with the food, the coffee, ambiance, convenience of location and the super cute shorty they got behind the counter! Not gonna lie the eye candy is the reason we came back, but we have tried almost everything on the menu and everything is unique and flavorful!
