Agree with the "oasis in the desert" assessment of B.M. Stopping in Winslow on a cross-country road trip, my hopes, at best, were for a squirt or two of convenience market coffee. First building visible from the I-40/Route 66 exit ramp was Mojo Cafe! I drank a couple cups of some outstanding--strong and flavorful--brewed coffee, took advantage of the fast and free wi-fi, and even enjoyed a cookie. Best of all was reading the historical newspaper articles and looking at old photos. The owners have obviously mapped out the correct business plan with Mojo. I hope a website is in the works. The cheerful, sunny ambience is inviting and the perfect balm to the road-weary traveler. read more

Where should i begin? After an hour and a half of arguing with my road trip buddy while driving West, i convinced him to try this local coffee shop instead of patronizing a starbucks. Well, i am very sorry i did. Mixing coffee grounds and water shouldn't be this difficult. The "coffee" was watered down gas station coffee. I ordered 2 shots of espresso and it was the worst drink i've ever tasted. Burnt and bitter yet cold. We pulled over at the next exit and threw our drinks in the trash. read more

For some reason, the barista thought I was completely invisible. He kept up his tantalizing conversation about the weather with the man ahead of me while moving about, but never acknowledged my existence. We were the only 2 customers in the place. Even the dog came out of the back to say hello to me, but not the worker. I even sort of followed him around the counter before finally giving up and going to the McDonalds next door. I'm torn. On one hand, it appears to be the only place with an espresso machine within fifty miles, and the coffee is a) decent and b) not served in a styrofoam cup. On the other hand, though the employees were polite they were extremely slow with service and then after a reminder didn't give me my order the way I'd ordered it. read more

I am not a coffee drinker, but I've been here for smoothies, which are quite tasty. Aside form that, however, I'm a bit disappointed. The free wifi is nice, and the place is clean and decent. The outside seating isn't bad either. Sadly, I've only had negative experiences regarding their customer service. Just generally unfriendly and they act as if it's a chore to serve you. That's just been MY experience, though. The prices could also be a bit lower, too. Not a bad place to go if you love coffee and internet. read more

Great little place but somewhat cluttered. Old newspapers are strewn all over the coffee bar with lots of pictures chronicling the local history. Coffee itself is delicious with a nice head of crema on the espresso. Stay away from the red and green breakfast burritos - the scrambled eggs are hard and chewy and there is no chili to be found. I didn't have any other pastries/food so I can't comment. Bathrooms are kind of messy but not dirty. Overall a cool place with excellent service and a lot of unrealized potential. read more

The interior is dark, dismal, and cluttered. I asked for a decaf and was told that they don't brew decaf. WTF??? I'm sitting in a coffee shop and unable to get a decaf (have to limit my caffeine intake due to a heart condition, but love coffee). I will not be back. read more

This place has the best coffee in Winslow. We stopped there after a long drive for a break and since it's right of the freeway it was so convenient. It's a mom and pop shop. They were super nice. Coffee had a rich robust flavor. My wife had an ice coffee that just hit the spot with a balance of cream and sweetness. I highly recommend this place for a great experience. read more

We took a chance on stopped at Mojo's on a roadtrip while driving through Arizona; it seemed to be a rather small town and not many options, and when possible we like to try out local places rather than chains that we can go to at home. We were not disappointed, this is a great little gem to find on a roadtrip. The girls working there were friendly enough and asked about our travels. I got a bean & cheese burrito (of course with green chilies) and it was really good. My friend got a turkey basil sandwich, and she could tell the ingredients were local and it was made there rather than prepackaged and shipped like at a corporate chain. My friend also ordered an iced mocha and it was like dessert in a cup with whipped cream, it was incredibly good! Also by far the cleanest bathroom we encountered on our 6 day roadtrip going across 10 states. We would highly recommend this place if you're driving around this area. read more

This place is amazing!!! Kinda in the middle of nowhere but one of the best coffee places I have been to. Driving across the country we stopped at a hotel for the night and right across the street is the perfect place to get you up and continuing on your journey. The coffee drinks are spectacular! Everyone was so nice and patient (it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted plus asking questions about what was in different drinks).
