    classic chocolate chip cookie
    Elise M.

We came in on a Thursday evening and it was such a pleasant experience here. I love the pretty, minimal decor and dishware. I got a chocolate chip cookie and matcha latte and both were great. I've heard that this is Oprah's favorite chocolate chip cookie. Im not sure it's winning that award for me, but I can see why she loves it!

I came for a quick Expresso shot to get me through the day! They elevated my shot with reusable tableware that spoke true to their aesthetic. It gave Grecian vibes while in Brooklyn. It looks small in the front but walk towards the back there is an abundance of space. It would be great to meetup with coworkers or clients. They offer counter service and table service. I did not try the food but I will be back.

I've been to so many @_mamannyc_ and they are all beautiful. The Cobble Hill location is also really nice. Perfect for an afternoon tea with my bestie

This my favorite Maman location. One of my favorite, and noticeable differences about this location is the efficiency of the staff. They run a tight ship at the Cobble Hill Maman and it shows. They have lots of great pastries and cookies, particularly their seasonal ones. They had a white chocolate rose cookie in February that was phenomenal. During the summer, they had a s'mores cookie that was very campfire festive. And most recently, there was a croissant in the shape of an evergreen tree, that had a pistachio cream filling. All of them always go well with one of their espresso or matcha beverages. If you don't want a dessert, Maman is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch too. I have had a few salads there that have been delicious as well. If you can't decide were to go to eat or grab coffee, this place is always a good choice.

I wanted to give this place 5 stars.. but I can't forgive the service I experienced here. Hopefully you get a better experience than I did. During my morning stroll with my pup, I decided to stop by for a morning bite. It was a nice day out, so I thought I could enjoy it in their outdoor dining with my dog. I did have to go inside to order, so left my dog outside for a brief moment. They were quite busy, so I had to wait a few minutes until they were ready for take orders. I got a Pistachio Cube ($6.50), Everything Croissant ($4.50), and a regular Honey Lavender Latte ($6.50). I'm absolutely in love with the decor, plates, and utensils here so I wanted to dine in. When I asked to dine in, they said I could only sit outside, which was fine since I had my pup anyways. To my dismay, they still put my baked goods in a paper bag to-go and said they'll bring out my drink. I assumed that at least my drink would be in a cute cup, so I went outside to wait at a patio table. When I opened my pastries, I realized I received the wrong Pistachio item, so I had to leave my dog again and go back inside to exchange this. When they attempted to help me, the employee got distracted halfway and left my pastry on the counter instead of handing it over to me, so I was left standing there dumbfounded. I get that you're busy, but all you had to do was hand the pastry over. It was packed and just sitting there, awkward.. In the end, I got my drink in a paper cup. Welp, that was a complete waste of my time hoping I was going to dine in. They really sold me to come here with the aesthetic baked goods and plates, but unfortunately I didn't get that. Eventually, I asked for a plate to plate my food myself at the very least --you're welcome for the aesthetic photos. Aside from all that mayhem, the baked goods are actually good. Yes, it tastes as good as it looks! The pistachio cube is so unique and I loved the layers, but the pistachio flavor tastes fake though. My favorite was the everything croissant --can't go wrong when you combine two of my favorite things into one. The croissant is perfectly fluffy and flakey with the savory seasonings of an everything bagel. Overall, delicious baked goods and such a cute spot, but service needs to be improved even if they're busy.

The café is so pretty. I have visited the branch near Fifth Av in Manhattan, yet the Cobble Hill branch in Brooklyn seems to be more spacious and cleaner. Their tableware and cups are also as elegant as an art piece. * Quiche Emily There are three types of quiches available, and I've chosen this one with spinach, broccoli, carrots, red pepper and lemon ricotta. The portion is much bigger than I thought! It is served warm so the tart base is crispy and the egg filling is as soft as an egg tart. Yet the taste is quite mild, better to add more seasonings to enhance the layers of flavors. * Pistachio Chocolate Croissant Impressively delicious. Whenever there is a pistachio flavor pastry, I will just go for it beyond doubt. The pistachio crisps are great, and the croissant is stuffed with milk and white chocolate! Everything just complements well together. Worth Returning ? YES DEFINITELY

Cute spot for a brunch date! This is on par with the other maman locations. Each breakfast entree is pretty filling with fresh ingredients. They have many drink options with milk substitutes. My partner really liked his papa's breakfast bowl. Green shakshuka always has a special place in my heart and I loved the flavor of the spices and found the eggs to be cooked to runny yolk perfection!

Good food, good coffee...what's not to love about Maman? Although they offer to-go service like other coffee shops, we opted to dine in, and really enjoyed the experience at this location. The food was excellent - the tartine with salmon was fresh and full of flavor, with a crisp bread covered in delicious ingredients (pictured). We also got a basket of three pastries, and couldn't make it through all of them. But the croissant was solid, and the kouign "maman" was a showstopper for sure. They do their pastries right. All in all, a great spot for a casual breakfast or brunch, especially if you're a coffee lover!

Cute place, and the food was fairly decent for breakfast fare but nothing blew me away. The cold brew was phenomenal and they have soy milk which is always a bonus! I don't think the food was worth the price, but I'd probably stop by for a coffee again

Came here for brunch with a friend and it was great! Super close to the F and G train stop and in a very cute neighborhood. I tried Tawnie's farro salad which was super tasty and filling! The service was great and quick. One thing to note is that they typically ask all people in the party to be present before they seat you! That said, it's a pretty big place and they clean up the tables quickly so we had no wait. The menu has lots of options and they're good about addressing different dietary restrictions.

    Oatmeal pumpkin chai cookie
    Amanda M.

I've been here a couple of times and they are usually good and fresh on Sundays. However, I came here today on a Friday and the cookies were a bit over cooked and maybe not as fresh as usual. They were still very good quality though so it was disappointing. The nut chocolate one is very good and we always get that. Then we try something else. Today it was the pumpkin chai cookie which was very good. Management should keep an eye on the freshness of the inventory. The guy working at the cash register also didn't seem to know which flavor cookie was which and was asking me. Still the quality and taste are good. Hopefully a fluke before the holiday weekend.

TL;DR version- Some high highs and some very low lows. Hot Figs was a fun app. By a mile, the soups…read morewere the favorites, so I would recommend the Pepián or Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo. Nice happy hour and a large chocolate drink selection I was at this unique Guatemalan (ish) restaurant a while back with one of my groups. I said "ish" because the menu has dishes from all over, ranging from sandwiches to BBQ ribs to Guatemalan and Mexican soups. It's out there, and even though not everything works that well, it's fun, and if you can't find something you want to order here, you probably shouldn't go out to restaurants. There was also live jazz music that night, which was loud but nice to listen to. Since it was happy hour, a bunch of us got drinks. I went with a maracuya margarita, which was decent; someone else had a jalapeño margarita, someone had a beer, and someone had a mojito. There were a few nice hot sauces on the table, with the red one reminding me of salsa macha as it had a smoky kick and a spicier green sauce reminiscent of ají verde. They gave us some complimentary blue corn chips and a very mild black bean dip, which was tasty enough and hard to complain about, as it was free. From the appetizers, we got the Hot Figs for $15.95, consisting of honey goat cheese, corn tortilla chips, and plum + pumpkin seeds. This was a unique and fun blend and reminded me more of something you would find in a wine bar. The mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of crunch from the seeds, was nice. This was good, and I would recommend it for a table rather than for a solo diner. There was also The Zingy Salad for $21.95, featuring zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and a jalapeño infusion. $18.95. The salad was fine with a bit of crunch and a mild spiciness. It was fine, though a bit wet, for lack of a better word. The best dishes of the night were the soups, which each had its own distinct flavor profile. My sight presence went to the Pepián for $21.95, consisting of chicken, pumpkin/sesame seeds, green tomatillo, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, carrots, chili coban/pasta/guaque, and potato + rice. There was plenty of tender chicken inside, with the soup having a nice roasted flavor with some spice and a bit of sourness. The potatoes and rice on the bottom added more sustenance to this dish. Almost equally delicious was the Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo for a dollar more with shredded chicken, tomato, black pepper, garlic, onions, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, chipotle, Monterey jack cheese, and crunchy blue corn tortilla chips. By comparison, this was a bit heartier, with the melted cheese and shredded tortilla chips inside, similar to soups found in Mexican cuisine. While I also liked the mix of veggies a bit more in this one, as it added a bit more texture, I still slightly preferred the flavor of the other soup, as I usually prefer a bit more spice. The rest of the food was fine. The TPC sandwich for $19.95 with chicken, peanut butter, coconut cream, ginger, cilantro, pickled carrots, and lime was fine. For the number of ingredients, I found it a bit sweet, likely from the cream and the peanut butter mix. The bread was nice, but it also fell apart. It came with a nice side salad with a good vinaigrette. The most expensive at $24.95 were the Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, consisting of baby back ribs with rice and beans. The ribs were almost a bit too tender as they lacked any bite, which was nice, but the sauce was a bit too generic tasting, reminding me of Sweet Baby Ray's or something similar. The rice and beans were standard. This was also OK. Next came some dessert. There was first the $12.95 Rosemary Churros served with dulce de leche & chocolate dips. While I'm not sure if it worked, the rosemary did add a unique smell and a bit of flavor, and at least it wasn't generic. The churros themselves were hot, and the sauces were standard, with my preference being the dulce de leche. I also ordered a Champurrado for $7.95, which was fine. It wasn't as thick as I expected, though perhaps the style is a bit different than the champurrados I rarely buy from Mexican street carts. The chocolate flavor was very nice, though, and I like that it wasn't too sweet. Another person got a $4 Alfajor, which I got a bite of, which was standard. This place is a bit hard to rate. The two soups were wonderful, I liked the appetizers, and I found a couple of the other dishes just OK. Overall, it was a good meal, but I'm not craving to go back. This would be the perfect 3.5, but I'll round up as that doesn't exist.
