I love Maman's -- their menu changes every now and then, which keeps it exciting, and their coffee drinks and pastry selection are always fresh and delicious. You can really taste the butter in the pastries; even simple things like their biscuit with plain butter are amazing. I also love their salted tahini latte. I've tried their breakfast items too, and they're really good. I like that they have all the options -- whether you just want coffee and a pastry, breakfast/brunch, or even lunch. The decor and ambiance are really cute, perfect for brunch, and the servers are so sweet. I even bought one of their tiny teacup decor pieces -- I use it as a ring holder on my nightstand and it's so cute. The good thing about Maman is that at every location, the pastries taste the same. We come here from time to time to get some coffee and a few scones for takeout. The cheddar and jalapeño scone and the goat cheese scone are delicious. I will also get the banana bread which is good, but I have had better elsewhere. The cookies are also pretty delicious and I enjoy the Martha Stewart kitchen sink cookie. It's standard pricing, roughly $5 for a cookie or scone. There is nothing too special about the latte and truly depends on the barista. Overall it's a pretty busy place with indoor seating. Probably best for grab and go. They are also on the inkind app which is a huge plus if you use it. That's probably why we frequent the place as often as we do. read more

This my favorite Maman location. One of my favorite, and noticeable differences about this location is the efficiency of the staff. They run a tight ship at the Cobble Hill Maman and it shows. They have lots of great pastries and cookies, particularly their seasonal ones. They had a white chocolate rose cookie in February that was phenomenal. During the summer, they had a s'mores cookie that was very campfire festive. And most recently, there was a croissant in the shape of an evergreen tree, that had a pistachio cream filling. All of them always go well with one of their espresso or matcha beverages. If you don't want a dessert, Maman is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch too. I have had a few salads there that have been delicious as well. If you can't decide were to go to eat or grab coffee, this place is always a good choice. read more

I wanted to give this place 5 stars.. but I can't forgive the service I experienced here. Hopefully you get a better experience than I did. During my morning stroll with my pup, I decided to stop by for a morning bite. It was a nice day out, so I thought I could enjoy it in their outdoor dining with my dog. I did have to go inside to order, so left my dog outside for a brief moment. They were quite busy, so I had to wait a few minutes until they were ready for take orders. I got a Pistachio Cube ($6.50), Everything Croissant ($4.50), and a regular Honey Lavender Latte ($6.50). I'm absolutely in love with the decor, plates, and utensils here so I wanted to dine in. When I asked to dine in, they said I could only sit outside, which was fine since I had my pup anyways. To my dismay, they still put my baked goods in a paper bag to-go and said they'll bring out my drink. I assumed that at least my drink would be in a cute cup, so I went outside to wait at a patio table. When I opened my pastries, I realized I received the wrong Pistachio item, so I had to leave my dog again and go back inside to exchange this. When they attempted to help me, the employee got distracted halfway and left my pastry on the counter instead of handing it over to me, so I was left standing there dumbfounded. I get that you're busy, but all you had to do was hand the pastry over. It was packed and just sitting there, awkward.. In the end, I got my drink in a paper cup. Welp, that was a complete waste of my time hoping I was going to dine in. They really sold me to come here with the aesthetic baked goods and plates, but unfortunately I didn't get that. Eventually, I asked for a plate to plate my food myself at the very least --you're welcome for the aesthetic photos. Aside from all that mayhem, the baked goods are actually good. Yes, it tastes as good as it looks! The pistachio cube is so unique and I loved the layers, but the pistachio flavor tastes fake though. My favorite was the everything croissant --can't go wrong when you combine two of my favorite things into one. The croissant is perfectly fluffy and flakey with the savory seasonings of an everything bagel. The portion is much bigger than I thought! It is served warm so the tart base is crispy and the egg filling is as soft as an egg tart. Good food, good coffee...what's not to love about Maman? Although they offer to-go service like other coffee shops, we opted to dine in, and really enjoyed the experience at this location. The food was excellent - the tartine with salmon was fresh and full of flavor, with a crisp bread covered in delicious ingredients (pictured). We also got a basket of three pastries, and couldn't make it through all of them. But the croissant was solid, and the kouign "maman" was a showstopper for sure. They do their pastries right. I've been here a couple of times and they are usually good and fresh on Sundays. However, I came here today on a Friday and the cookies were a bit over cooked and maybe not as fresh as usual. They were still very good quality though so it was disappointing. The nut chocolate one is very good and we always get that. Then we try something else. Ambience: Drop dead adorable. Decor is photo-worthy but those metal picnic chairs are brutal. The seat isn't even flat. The depression of the wood creates a raised, metal frame around the seat that will dig into the backs of your legs. I'm eating a delicious pastry from Maman's as I write this. Extremely taste. However, the turkey sandwich I ate earlier had a critical fault. It had 1 slice of turkey. 1 thin slice of turkey. That's not a turkey sandwich. That's a mixed greens sandwich that a slice of turkey accidentally fell into. Let's investigate. The description of Anjerika's Turkey Sandwich doesn't actually mention Turkey so can I really fault them: cheddar, kale pesto, pickled & crispy onions & arugula on sourdough. The official sandwich portrait appears to show at least two slices. But when we're talking about numbers like one and two, going from two to one slice just isn't acceptable. It's enough to remove three stars. It could have easily been better by including more slices. I did give two stars because even with only one slice, it was tasty, it just wasn't sustenance. The people who work there: they are wonderful. I can only imagine that the cook in the back carefully placed three slices of turkey on the bed of greens, but then the AI food surveillance camera system alerted and activated the quick shock system attached to the cooks compliance collar. Aesthetics are very cute, but vibe was off. My friend and I ordered the pastry platter. You are given two pastries and one of your choice. When I asked what that entails they just said "two pastries and one that you choose", so I chose the pistachio croissant. They then proceeded to give me the plain croissant and almond croissant. If I had known they would serve me two croissants I would not have chosen a third. Additionally, we are able to get whichever pastry we'd like, from both sides of the counter, but one side of the counter had TONS of flies around the food selection. For the quiches there was a label that read "display only", but this only applied to the quiches, because when I was about to ask for a piece of the banana bread loaf, they were about to serve me a piece that JUST had a fly on it (which is why I went for the pistachio croissant instead). After given our basket of three croissants, my friend and I asked if we could have them heated. The server at the counter rolled her eyes and paused, then said yes. We did not demand, we asked. And we're paying for the pasty platter, which on the menu notes "dine-in only". Is it that much trouble to ask for them to be heated rather than stale and room temperature? Note, this was on a Monday at 11am. There was no one else in line nor waiting to be served aside from us. We also ordered a quiche. This was a bit watery, and there were certain pieces of the quiche that had a lot of pepper and salt, so it seemed like it was not distributed evenly. Nothing went wrong with our drink orders, at least, which was an iced coffee and honey latte. They redeemed themselves with the drinks, so I give them more than one star. read more

To start, the pastries, the croissant was too sweet for my taste, but it was soft and had a slight crisp outer layer. Inside, it was soft and moist, but overall just too sweet for me. The cookie, felt just right, also very moist and soft outer layer. The hot honey lavender latte was very light...the lavender was barely there and the latte itself was lukewarm, so very drinkable. The iced blueberry lavender cappuccino had a very interesting taste to it. I cant tell if I liked it or not. They do have other fooda available to purchase, which is made fresh. Do come for the chill environment and service and possibly a pastry and/or drink to go with it. Btw, there are cocktails too if you're looking to drink. Do not go here with kids!!! Waffles don't come with syrup. The smoked salmon comes out with a ton of everything mix on it. They tell you neither when you order the $25 worth of food that your child won't eat.
