We rotated all three delicious dishes at least twice. Great chewy texture on the waffle, with more toppings than one could ask for. The benedict was a perfect mix of sweet, savory, and sea! But the cuban sandwich won the day. That roasted pork, girrrrlllll. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a full bar, too. Lovely jazz music for ambience, great vacation vibes. Okay, I'm sleepy now. Bye.

Split the delicious spring mix salad with crunchy prosciutto and figs followed by 12oz rib eye medium rare with a demi glace sauce and changed mashed sweet potatoes for regular mashed potatoes, served with seasonal vegetables of asparagus and green carrots, $48. I was nervous when I saw how thin the steak was, and the demi place looked like gravy. But the steak was a perfect medium rare and quite tasty. The sauce was different, but good. Ended the meal with a fruit tart $6.19, very good! Shout out to Aleisha for being our delightful waitstaff. Returned for Sunday brunch. Enjoyed Cafe latte, oj&vodka. Chocolate croissant and a delicious sandwich consisting of pan soboa roll, roasted pork shoulder, ham, swiaa, pickles and mustard maple syrup.$12.48.

Hopped into this bakery/restaurant for our last breakfast in Puerto Rico. The place was recommended…read moreby the hotel staff that said their pastries, sandwiches and breakfast were delicious. And, they were not wrong. The place is located on the corner of the busy highway and the street that leads up to the Wyndham Rio Mar resort. There is limited parking however you can park along the street and then walk down. The bakery itself is connected to another restaurant that serves broiled chicken and other delicious Puerto Rican bites. We had breakfast there and it was delicious. We ordered a beef pastelillo (empanada), a sandwich called bocadillo (IYKYK), lattes, and an egg scramble that came with a side of cloud bread (pan sobao). Everything was delicious here, again like most places you can share the breakfast except for the beef empanada. I ate half my sandwich and took the other half to eat on the way home. The ambience is nice, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and there are plenty of tables and seating available. The chicken restaurant next-door, which they also run, was not open yet. I am definitely planning on coming back to have breakfast yet again and also try the chicken place next door. Enjoy! Ps. We were so hungry and a little short on time so unfortunately, I was not able to get pictures of the other food we ordered.

After a day at the beach we de died to get a snack before heading back to the hotel. Once again…read morefound this place on Yelp. Delicious bread and coffee - a little bakery with inside and outside seating.

Delicious and best of all, cheap!…read more Good food in Puerto Rico can get pretty pricey, especially if you're tourists like our group and don't know where to go. Isamar is one of the few exceptions that we found to this rule. The pastrami sandwich in particular was quite tasty. They put some unconventional ingredients like ketchup in there. When the lady at the front recommended the sandwich, I was a skeptic, but after the first bite, found that the flavors meld in a very pleasant way. Pastries were flaky and fresh. The flan was rich and its slightly firmer texture was a nice touch. As a warning, do not get traditional breakfast food like the egg platters, unless if faux-egg consistency suits your style. My friend had that, and he said it was no better than Mc Donald's. Service was likewise excellent, and the lady behind the counter fielded my questions patiently (especially me badgering her about the ketchup that was to be squirted into my sandwich). All in all, a very friendly place with some delicious eats.

I had never had one before, and this was amazing! This is also the best place to go in the area for breakfast. They have yummy pastries, fluffy pancakes, and savory omelets. Plus you can get a medium cup of coffee for less than a dollar. Get a box of pastries to go- they make a great snack at the beach for later. I recommend the guava and cheese danish. That was by far the yummiest. Another bonus of Isamar was the wonderful service. The bakery is family-owned and we always had friendly and attentive service on each visit. If I ever go to Puerto Rico again, I am heading straight back to Isamar!
