My son has been in his braces now about 2 years. 5 times now we have had to return within days because a bracet popped off. The issue was addressed with the orthodontist and he blamed the kid saying oh he is obviously chewing on his mouth gaurd during his sport..which is a rude assumption because he never even wears his mouth gaurd! In addition one of the occurances of a bracet coming off was literally one minute after my son got out of the chair, we walked up to schedule the next appointment and all of a sudden he tells me a bracet came off. Its crazy to think about home much money this place charges for braces compared to others and this is the kind of product result. Looking at previous reviews-looks like this has been occurring for years-In addition my sons friends at school say the same thing is happening to their braces from Molen. Time to rethink the products you are using. read more

Great at fixing teeth. They are used to working with children not adults. They treat symptoms. Rick comes in, says do the this, add that, talks to the technician. he's used to kids, not adults. I have a masters degree, served in three combat campaigns and literally put people into space. I'm 60 years old. He talks to me like I'm 10. It's cute. I leave with a capri sun. I'm not sure entirely what he's doing. But it looks great so trust the process. read more

Wow!! I called to cancel daughter's appt for a consult bc I work in healthcare and was called in to work the day of her appt. I would like to add that k called two days prior and left a voicemail the previous weekend. Melissa at the front was extremely rude! She said "you don't want to reschedule?" And I said "I do but I'm at work right now so I will call to reschedule." And with obvious annoyance in her voice, she said "ok have a great day!" And just hung up without giving me a chance to even say anything. She pretty much hung up on me. And when I say she said "have a great day!" She might as well have told me to F off bc that was her tone. Being a healthcare provider, I am shocked by the lack of customer service! read more

It's expensive. I am having a hard time with constantly having to get them put back on as the brackets keep coming off or wires are coming out so we haven't been able to work on even the bands yet. At our 4th appointment and routinely have to wait 30-45 mins AFTER our appointments times. We are always given excuses and it's frustrating as a family to plan our schedule when our appts are never on time. When I make my next appointment I'll be taking a full extra hr off work to add to appointment times bc now I expect to sit for a full hour doing nothing. read more

First off, let's talk about how pristine this office is! Clean, spacious, and modern, it felt more like an upscale downtown hotel lobby than a typical orthodontist. They are also taking great precautions during this pandemic, providing hand sanitizer and masks at the door while also taking temperatures and wiping door handles behind patients. Now to my visit: I received my orthodontic treatment elsewhere and my previous retainer ended up snapping in half. I called my regular orthodontist and was told that due to a backlog caused by quarantine, they wouldn't be able to get me in for about 2 months. Ahhhhh! By that time my teeth could've shifted enough to have to go back into braces. In a panic I did some searching and called around to see who could help; Molen was more than accommodating. The person I spoke with on the phone was able to get me in for a consultation, molds, and new retainers THE NEXT DAY! When I got there, every single person I spoke with was amazing. Catherine, Tristan, and Hope were all friendly and welcoming. Alissa and Dr. Rick were professional and compassionate. After some discussion about my situation, a few pictures and a couple molds, I was on my way. I returned just a few hours later to pick up my retainers and was able to avoid a potential ortho crisis. If ever I find myself in need of braces again... I'll probably cry. After I dry my tears however, I'll gladly be heading back to Molen for my full treatment, 30-minute commute and all. Permanent retainer fell out and instead of telling me to bring it to put it back in I drove 2 hour round trip for them to tell me they could've put it back in but I'll have to come back again. I asked for retainers and got one set with the wrong bottom piece. The bottom retainer was for a completely different set of teeth that weren't mine. The only people they can trick with this extremely mediocre service is children, go anywhere else. read more

I started my orthodontics journey just shy of a year ago with Molen Orthodontics... I've been to all 3 locations with Enumclaw being my home base. I had NO idea what I was getting into at first, but my crooked teeth have been a bother to me for a couple of decades. At the urge of my amazing dentist, Dr. Scott Decker, he got me set up with the AMAZING team at Molen. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Aaron and his lovely and kind staff, and I actually look forward to my appointments! That says a lot coming from my past of scary dentists and painful procedures... They have been so kind and attentive, thorough and explanatory to any questions I have without feeling rushed. You know I've tried to be considerate about the whole COVID and times and delay's with this Orthodontist, but for the money I have paid and I am still paying for braces for my girls, a 45 minute wait time for an appointment I've had scheduled since my last appointment is unacceptable! I have other things going on and other appointments. When I schedule 2 hours to get to an appointment, for the appointment, and then to get to my next one, delays like this make me look like I'm unreliable. If I had been 45 minutes late then I would have been rescheduled or even charged for the visit at some places. This is the 3rd appointment that has been delayed or, " we got behind in the clinic" excuse. If my daughter hadn't already started her braces here I'd find some where else to go. They do a good job when you can get in, but the wait times and appointment times are horrible!! I don't care what your excuses is, JUST FIX IT! I have to take time off work to make these appointments so you're making me take off time and I'm lousing money due to things like this. Ahhh I'm angry, beyond angry I'm freakin furious! read more

After an extensive search to find an Orthodontist for our daughter, we decided on Molen Orthodontics for a multitude of reasons. One of the things that immediately stood out to us the most is the genuine, positive atmosphere this team strives towards. Everyone we have come into contact with, has been extremely helpful in such a caring way. We appreciated Gina who went above and beyond in assisting us during our initial consultation and thereafter. Moreover, Dr Aaron has been kind in explaining the different options available and what will be the best for our daughter's smile long term. We especially appreciate how personable Dr Aaron is and his expertise. The orthodontia assistants have been knowledgable and friendly. Additionally, when we learned an insurance reimbursement was available after the braces were put on, Erica in the finance department handled all of the paperwork for us, without hesitation, even though it required extensive work on her part. Erica even followed up afterwards to keep us updated. It's this type of kindness, shown by each staff member, that really makes a difference. The new/clean office, the massage chairs, the ice cream, juice, coffee, tea in the waiting room, the rewards program are all thoughtful additions. WOW! My wife had her braces here when I first met her and after my daughter and I were forced by our insurance to go to another orthodontist for our braces we ended up switching and paying cash to get away from the other ortho. The whole staff her is friendly and professional. Dr. Aaron is amazing, he really knows his stuff and was able to complete our treatment in short order. They took great care of us, they have great communication and there is just no way I can express how amazing this place is! Yes, you will pay more than you might at one of those huge chain dentist/ortho offices, BUT you won't get better treatment anywhere AND... ... FREE RETAINERS FOR LIFE! Expertise is excellent. Staff are professional and wonderful. However, with the move to the newly constructed building, the noise level is intolerable. Many people enjoy the energy of a teenage party environment. But some people do not enjoy or tolerate continual background noise. The construction design and materials of the new facility reflect noise everywhere. The office has a basketball court and video games which would be wonderful except for the noise which echoes to the waiting room and treatment area. The radio is always too loud, with a non-relaxing choice of music. With no place to get away from the noise, every visit is exhausting... sometimes even culminating in a headache. I am so relieved to get out of the building at the end of each visit to be able to relax. Whereas previously I was fine with a protracted course of treatment because of the wonderfully warm staff and superb service, I now regret and dread the long treatment plan because of the resultant multiple upcoming visits. read more

We have been coming to Molen for the last two years at the recommendation of our dentis Dr. Christensen. Every 6 months at Molen they did an assessment. This past Wednesday was the day. 13 year old son had braces put on. Yes, his teeth hurt, but they are so great there. I love the fact that Molen is always looking for new and innovative procedures. My son has the Damon system. He was able to figure out the rubber bands the first day. They have motivated him to brush and floss. I love all the extras as well - arcade, massage chairs, juice and ice cream, and extra supplies. The best part is the staff! They are all on point! read more

I had braces 3 different times before I came to see Dr Molen a few years ago. He told me I had an issue that required a permanent retainer which is why my teeth kept moving even though i wore my retainers daily! That would have been nice to know one of the first three times! I was in here today for the first time to have a free exam for braces (at the insistence of my dentist) and was especially impressed. Staff was extremely warm and receptive. The waiting room has an arcade for the kids (YES!, An arcade for the kids!), internet/laptop/Wi-Fi access for all and a juice/coffee/water/nuts bar for the adults (I have NEVER EVER seen a waiting room so welcome and accommodating to all ages). After the pictures and initial exam, I was escorted to a private room to consult with a private care coordinator (Ashley) who explained every process along the way. Dr. Molen (The elder...he also has two talented sons in the profession) reviewed my case and I was surprised as to how progressive he is towards new and innovative treatment options. While I have not made a final decision to get braces, I had that nagging feeling that I was around really great professional people and that I was in great hands. read more

I love Molen Orthodontics, now here's my evidence.... Molen is friendly, every time I visit for an appointment I feel so comfortable talking around the people. All Molen staff always has a smile on there face and willing to make the kids experience exciting and not scary. They also engage in conversation and tell you all about what their doing to your teeth so your not freaking out about how bad your teeth might hurt. They also care about the "pain" of first getting your braces on, they explain to put on wax, take ibuprofen and to eat cold things for pain relief (ICE CREAM)!!!!! Molen's Staff I don't think honestly cares about the amount of money at the end of the week I think they care more about your experience in your braces and enjoying your time in them! That is why Molen is so friendly! Molen hosts things that many orthos don't. For example, yesterday you guys had a roller skating party. Who wouldn't want to go? I sure went and it was tons of fun! My friend BriAnna a patient at Molen and I went together! You guys supplied food, a awesome photo booth which we took some funny pictures with, a tooth fairy and the Molen "star" and you had a raffle drawing that was super fun! I really don't think another Orthodontics does something like that! Not only that but you guys have Molen Moohlah Points in which you can earn prizes such as Starbucks cards, ITunes, Aeropostale and other fun prizes like the ultimate 2,000 point I pod touch! Dude, I'm on my way :) But if you think about it you guys give so much time to make our experience better, and it works! Molen has really good budget options. I know my mom wouldn't be able to afford braces if it wasn't for you guys! So I really don't know exactly how the budgeting works because hey I'm still a kid but I know whatever it is that my mom can pay for it! And that makes me happy because I know I really wanted braces because, "A smile is everything" and I definitely wanted a superb smile! I thank you for that and many parents should join Molen for there awesome budgeting! So if you don't already know my sister Dayna Sipila she was a Molen patient for years! She had metal in her mouth since the 1st grade and recently got them off last year! Her smile is great and her before and after photos look completely different! Always when I had to wait at the Molen I would play Pac Man and Mario and play on the Computers and it was so much fun. Then she would come out with a new colored brackets and a smile, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever! I went into consultations for a long time with Gina(my favorite Molen staff). I finally found out I needed braces I was definitely excited but also nervous about all the scary tales people say about having braces. But after I got them on with the help of Inna another cool staff member she told me everything I needed to know and I was so happy. My Molen Magic Experience has been great and can only get better with the cool things you do!
