My intake/payment experience was warm & welcoming; however, this quickly changed as treatment started. The orthodontist would fly by to check my progress each visit and didn't ask if I had questions or even pause to see how I was doing. I expressed my feedback and concerns about this to the dental assistant and was met with an attitude. When I got to the end of my treatment, I did not feel happy with the results and expressed my concerns to the ortho. My front teeth are uneven, the ones on the left side being more forward than on the other side. I was told that I don't want my teeth to look completely perfect and wasn't offered any other solutions. I would have been open to paying for additional trays if that had been offered. As I was checking out I heard someone say "if she doesn't like them, she can get veneers." I really hope that it wasn't said about me, but after that experience it was really hard not to think that was personal. Beyond that, the techs who took my dental photos were really new and it was painful and uncomfortable. They had me do dental photos right when my Invisalign was done and then again a month later. I asked to not do the last round of photos because they were having trouble working the camera and it was taking a really long time to get a photo with my mouth stretched wide open and super uncomfortable. This concern was brushed off, so I decided to leave the appointment at that time.

Original review below: As a child, I had braces for nearly 5 years and disliked that orthodontist from the first visit. My smile was never what I expected it to be, and certain details had been overlooked. I never expected perfection, but I knew I was going to need braces again as an adult. I've had several orthodontic consults over the last ten years. This experience was amazing. The staff were so warm and friendly. They genuinely care about your needs and the outcome you are looking for. Finally, an orthodontist that actually listens. I didn't feel like it was a sales pitch at any point. Dr. Ormiston and his staff were relatable and very knowledgeable. Their technology is amazing! I didn't need to have dental impressions made because they use a new scanner that creates 4D images. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Aaron and his lovely and kind staff, and I actually look forward to my appointments! That says a lot coming from my past of scary dentists and painful procedures... They have been so kind and attentive, thorough and explanatory to any questions I have without feeling rushed. Especially during these Covid times I'm very grateful for these amazing human beings and their skills. Their offices are super clean, staff is masked, protocols in place. I just finally got braces today after another procedure I had done, and while I was nervous going in, I was pretty giddy on my exit. I can't recommend Molen Orthodontics enough! The issue was addressed with the orthodontist and he blamed the kid saying oh he is obviously chewing on his mouth gaurd during his sport..which is a rude assumption because he never even wears his mouth gaurd! In addition one of the occurances of a bracet coming off was literally one minute after my son got out of the chair, we walked up to schedule the next appointment and all of a sudden he tells me a bracet came off. Its crazy to think about home much money this place charges for braces compared to others and this is the kind of product result. Looking at previous reviews-looks like this has been occurring for years-In addition my sons friends at school say the same thing is happening to their braces from Molen. We were not pleased with them or the estimate they gave for our younger child. Light Dental gave a much more reasonable estimate, not to mention a more thorough exam for the free consultation. They took their time with us. And they told us that in all honesty it would be best if we waited to get our child braces. I was so thankful to have found a place that seemed to care about the quality of the job done and the best interest of our child as a priority, instead of dollar signs. We will return for this child and the next one.

My daughter got her braces off this week and she is very happy with the results. The support staff and assistants are great! Scheduling is easy. We loved the attention to detail throughout the process. My daughter is on the spectrum and they made sure to explain everything to her in language that she could understand, have her demonstrate how to put in the bands or retainers herself, and they really empowered her to take care of her own teeth. State insurance paid for her braces. Very thankful for that. He does accept state insurance. His office is state of the art! His office is also clean and kid friendly! Over the 3 year process of braces I believe we waited more than 20 minutes twice. They are very good and staying on time. It is a busy office but they really do their best. In medicine, some things can't be predicted so giving grace when they run behind is just as important as them giving grace when we run behind. I am hoping my son will be next to have treatment here.
