It's a cool grocery store with a nice deli section. They also have a hot foods section and a salad bar with a wide selection of fresh vegetables. I went the sandwich route and also picked up a pre-made salad. There might be a line during lunch time, so be patient. THE FOOD. - Smoked Turkey & Swiss Sandwich | Had this made at their deli section. Layers of turkey slices and a bunch of vegetables piled in. The sandwich could've been shared since it was bigger than I expected, but then I remembered what an absolute pig I am. By the way, it was pretty good! - Mozzarella & Tomato Salad | Picked out from the pre-made salad section. Loved the mozzarella and the red onions gave it a bit of zing. THE PARKING. Free parking available, no issues finding an open spot. THE RETURN? Sure, if I'm in the area!

I've been shopping here for years. Lately, they've decided that handicapped people should walk farther to patronize their store because they need the ADA mandated handicapped parking space to set up their BBQ. I've mentioned the transgression to two successive store managers, but it keeps happening. Needless to say, I won't be shopping here anymore.

Went to Mollie Stone's with a friend to refuel after a day spent exploring Sausalito. Being a longtime vegan wished there was more vegan options in the salad and Delhi to grab a bite. I did however find a bunch of all vegan healthy and tasty Urban Remedy options. I opted for a macro bowl and also got an Evolution juice. I appreciate that Mollie Stone's had compostable silverware in a compostable wrapper so feel they are taking steps in the right direction of being an eco-friendly business that is right at home in the Bay Area. I would bump it up to five stars if the deli and salad bar would offer more vegan or vegetarian options as found this underwhelming yet am glad there were several solid vegan options from the Urban Remedy options they stocked.

The store is not for the average grocery store shopper. If price is no object this store is for you. Excellent variety of unique food products. Very good looking prepared foods. But many of the everyday, simple products are priced like the high end artsy fartsy products.

If your in Sausalito, and want a high quality deli sandwich, this is it. Our regular is the house pastrami, heated, with havarti, on a sweet french roll, mustard, onions, peppercini, pickle. Paul at the counter nails this down with perfection!

    So organized!

Wow wow wow - the coffee is delicious!…read more Loved the vibe of this cute coffee cafe. It was busy and buzzing during the morning hours and we had great service from an older gentleman who took his time to ensure we got exactly what we were looking for. They have a cute backyard patio space with additional seating (and maybe a pup or two!) Drinks: the Iced Vietnamese coffee and the Iced Churro latte. Both were strong and delicious!

Got it. I'll turn this into a polished Yelp Elite-style narrative: observant, balanced, a little…read morewitty, and clearly written by someone who actually spends time here--not a fly-by latte tourist. This spot feels like the other side of Sausalito--in the best way. If Sausalito Bakery is the pressed-linen, weekend-brunch version of town, this place is where the everyday locals land. Same essence, very different energy. Cozy, familiar, and quietly charming without trying too hard. The space itself is warm and inviting, with a lived-in feel and a glowing sign in the back that somehow makes the whole room feel softer. There's a large communal table, plenty of indoor seating, and a steady hum of conversation that creates excellent white noise. It's a solid place to get work done--as long as you're not recording audio, because it does get a little loud--but for emails, planning, or a casual work session, it absolutely works. Now, the matcha. This is the real headline. I'll be honest: I used to actively avoid ordering matcha here. It was mediocre at best. About five months ago, they changed it--slight improvement, but still not there. I know the ownership was proud of that update, but something clearly changed again since then, because today's matcha was genuinely impressive. Like, stop-what-you're-doing impressive. At this point, I'm comfortable saying this is the best matcha in Sausalito. Egg Lady's is fine, but it doesn't come close. Sausalito Bakery is lovely to hang out in, and their pastries are great--but their matcha is forgettable. This one isn't. (The only matcha I've had locally that competes was at an ERIA Events gathering, but that's not exactly a walk-in situation, so it doesn't count.) If you're in Sausalito specifically looking for matcha, this is the place. They're also great with substitutions, service is quick, and the owner has a genuinely warm, welcoming presence--lots of friendly back-and-forth with regulars, which adds to the atmosphere rather than distracting from it. I didn't try the pastries or sandwiches this time (not much of a pastry person), though everything looked solid. Outdoor seating exists, but with the weather being a bit unpredictable lately, indoor is the move. Fair warning: parking is a hassle. I parked in the lot near Trident, and while it worked, the valet experience was... unpleasant enough that I probably wouldn't do it again. Plan accordingly. All in all, this is a comfortable, local-feeling café with excellent matcha, good energy, and enough seating to make it a reliable go-to. It may not be the "scene," but it's exactly the kind of place you end up recommending when someone asks, "Where do you actually like to go?"

They also had some tables outside, but it was too cold for me. I ordered a hot banana caramelized latte, which was so amazing. It really hit the spot. Not for people watching (go to their Miller Ave location for…read morethat), & not because the drinks are somehow better here or anything; Equator drinks are consistent throughout all of their locations. It's THIS particular location... On CA-1 in Mill Valley, it's so conveniently on the way to downtown Mill Valley, Stinson Beach, Point Reyes...etc, etc. But regardless of where you're going, stopping in here feels like you're on vacation. Beach/ocean/surf culture. The vibe is a thousand percent beach hut/surf shop, even with no actual beach in sight. How charming is that? Somehow browsing surfboards, even when you don't surf, assuages that unfulfilled dream, or fuels your standing wanderlust. Did you know that Thomas Keller serves Equator coffee at all of his properties? They partnered up 25 years ago, & equator even does special blends at certain TK restaurants. Even though Equator is available at grocery stores now, you should still come here. 5 star coffee in another 5 star location
