Not one to rush and give meds nor antibiotics. She is a compassionate person and follows up with her patients as well making sure your results are sent to her for review. Dr. Patelli and her husband which share the practice are two very different types of doctors, both are passionate about their careers and making sure they have the best interest of the patient. I find she works endlessly and will see you right away if she feels it's necessary, I noticed she has stayed several hours after closing to make sure she see her patients that are sick. When I look over my EOB I can't see why they charge the insurance so little! They're unlike most doctors, they aren't greedy however they really should bill at a higher rate for their services!

I was referred to him by a friend - so to say he met my expectations is a understatement. His staff are warm and welcoming. They provide with formula if needed- they book your appointments in advance. My daughter Summer is in the best care here - I love the waiting rooms being separated for children who are sick and who aren't. It is set back in the parking lot so it is hard to tell if it is open or not if you are just driving by I saw the PA. After hearing my concerns she examinee my nose. She was unsure it it was true sinus or a dermatlogy issue so She recommended some hot/cold compresses and also rx me an antibiotics if it doesnt improve for me to go to the ER. My daughter's 3-month appointment was scheduled for December 19th. Despite snowy weather, we made the effort to come in, only to be told upon arrival that the appointment had been canceled. The only communication I received was a voicemail on 12/11 stating, "Hi, we are calling about your appointment on 12/19." This sounded like a routine confirmation call and never stated the appointment was canceled. I had already confirmed the visit through both email and text, so there was absolutely no indication we should not come in. No one notified me of the cancellation or attempted to reschedule, which I believe is the office's responsibility--especially for an infant's well visit. To make matters worse, we were told the appointment was canceled because the doctors wanted to go home early for the holidays, yet as we were leaving, we saw our doctor still there. Because it was the holidays, I chose to let it go. I even gave the office a Christmas gift and a thoughtful card wishing everyone well. I rescheduled the appointment myself, even though it was with a different provider we were unfamiliar with. Fast forward to 1/19, my daughter's 4-month visit. We arrived at 3:10pm for a 3:00pm appointment, and I acknowledge we were late. However, we were immediately told we would need to pay out of pocket because our insurance was "inactive." There was no greeting or courtesy, and over the four months we were patients, no one ever attempted to learn our names. I explained that our insurance had not changed and that my husband could retrieve the insurance card. Regardless, I was told my child would not be seen today. After spending time discussing insurance, we were then told it was now 3:15pm and there was nothing available. Telling us to reschedule for another day. My husband and I both took time off from work, and bringing a 4-month-old to appointments is not easy--especially when something similar already happened at her 3-month visit. Throughout this interaction, it felt like money mattered more than patient care, with no concern shown for our baby. As a parent, I expect clear communication, professionalism, and compassion. Unfortunately, this office demonstrated a lack of organization, empathy, and respect for families' time. Do not go to Nassau Pediatrics.
