Filet mignon and mashed potatoes with Mormon gravy
    Bekah S.

We had a great experience! Molly's is the cutest lodge! I absolutely loved the history and how sentimental the place was. I loved reading more about Molly and seeing all of the photographs up! The staff were so friendly and helpful! Their service absolutely sets them apart, so impressed! The food was phenomenal! My filet was so tender and flavorful and I loved the mashed potatoes and Mormon gravy! My husband ordered the pasta special and it was so good! The tomato jalapeño bisque was one of the best soups I've ever had! The rye bread is so hearty and soft! Everything was delicious! We cannot wait to go back!

Bread, salad & beer - all delicious, forgot to take photo of the trout/mashed potatoes, that was phenomenal!

Molly Butler is the oldest lodge in Arizona and was cool to experience this place a little after I got into town. After a short stroll of the Butler Canyon nature trail, I came in here to check it out. I initially sat at the bar and the bartender told me to go register myself with the hostess. She said put your name down, have a drink and when we're ready, you can order some dinner. Interesting way to set up customers but no complaints at all. This is a beautiful lodge and restaurant and this is a must see when in town. It sits high on Main Street and if you snag a table outside, you can see a lot going on in town and you face just a beautiful high mountain AZ backdrop. Waitress/bartender was super kind to me and took good care of me. I had a Pinetop Brewing Co blonde and that was delicious! For dinner, I ordered the almondine trout which came with salad, bread, and your choice of a side, so I had mashed potatoes. Everything was made to perfection and the trout was soo good! I also sat down in the bar area next to some really nice folks also from Phoenix and they gave me the scoop on everything to do in town! They told me it was Greer Days, so got the whole weekend itinerary. They were just lovely! Overall, a really lovely meal here and will definitely come back when I am in town again. I also loved a sign they had on the wall, "absolutely no debating politics or religion at the bar." I couldn't agree more, at the bar or anywhere!

    Thanks

My family spent Thanksgiving 2025 at Molly Butler's. The restaurant is warm inviting decorated beautifully. The staff was above and beyond. They just redid their bar with a pool table and Photo Booth and it is a lot of fun. I can't recommend going here for Thanksgiving if you ever are in the area. Based on how good the Thanksgiving food was, I would love to come back to try their burger and chili.

We are there on a Friday and Saturday night, they were busy but staff was working hard. First night we did not have a reservation so we waited an hour for two but we were still able to get drinks and wait inside or on the porch. Highly recommend you making reservations. The food was really good. We shared the mink burger and it came with fries, a loaf of bread and a salad (I think you could choose different sides). It was a lot of food but soooooo good. Also the martini was good.

This little town restaurant has so much history and charm. The inside was cozy and the service was great. The soup was the perfect ratio of beef, barley, and veggies. I only wished they served it with some kind of bread. We also got the coffee from the downstairs coffee shop. I got a Vanilla chai with espresso and my friend got a cinnamon/honey latte. Both drinks were delicious and the barista was so welcoming and kind.

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. Upon being seated we're were advised that many of the items on the menu were not available. We decided on the special to be safe. I would say it was just basic with the pulled pork sandwich. Drinks were small and watered down. They sat us in the sun even with available seating across from us. Most people strategically placed in view of the road to appear more busy of a place than it was.. I would go back it just wasn't anything special

Molly Butler Lodge Restaurant was a solid pick during our stay in Greer. The food was all-around good and reasonably priced. The ambiance felt fitting for the area--rustic, wooden, and cozy. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms, and while we didn't pop into the bar, it seemed like people were enjoying themselves there. Our server, Jayln, was friendly and helpful. We didn't have too many questions, but for the few we asked, she was quick and knowledgeable with her answers. Parking wasn't tricky--there are a handful of spots right in front of the building, which made things easy. Food-wise, I had the fish and chips--about what I expected. The fries were fine, typical shoestring style. My wife had the rainbow trout almondine, which she liked--good portion, nicely done. Mashed potatoes were also fine, nothing special, but solid. We skipped the gravy since we don't eat meat aside from fish. Others in our group got the sirloin steak and the "Hot Dang" chili. Heard the chili was spicier than expected but still enjoyable. The steak was reported as somewhere between good and standard. Vegetarians should know there are a few starters that work, but mains are limited. That said, it's one of the nicer dinner spots in Greer and can still pass as a casual sit-down place. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

Pls make a reservation to avoid long wait times! Okay first time in Greer, we were looking for dinner so decided to give Molly a try. Honestly there were like 3/4 restaurants around and 2 were closed. We put our name down and waited for an hour to get a table. In the meantime we went for a walk. Mind you this place alone feeds the entire cabin community in Greer so pls expect long wait time or make a reservation early. After we got seated it took another 15 mins to get our server take our orders. We got 2 glass of wine with Southwest Pasta and Charred Salmon. The food was served with complimentary house bread and Shamrock Butter. The salmon was so good and we chose pilaf rice as a side and a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Next the pasta was cooked perfectly with sausage and veggies! Overall decent meal considering the remote location. The restaurant gives old country diner vibe with country decor all over the restaurant. The service was on the slower side. But the was good enough and the servers were very kind and spoke to us nicely. Kept checking on us. We enjoyed our dinner! I wish I had more pictures to share.

They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and every band we've seen has been fantastic. We also joined in on Musical BINGO, and my husband actually won! It was such a fun and lively experience. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and made us feel right at home. They even recognized us on our second visit, which was such an unexpected and wonderful touch. The food is amazing, too. The hamburgers are terrific, and the drinks definitely hit the spot. You can sit at the bar, relax at a table inside where it is nice and cool, or enjoy the outdoor deck overlooking the sound stage. There is also a lower seating area for anyone who likes being closer to the music and all the action. The Den is also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus when you are traveling with your furry family member--just remember to keep them off the grass. During the band, children were playing on the lawn, families were relaxing, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. The entire evening felt fun, welcoming, wholesome, and full of great energy. Between the music, food, drinks, friendly service, and beautiful outdoor setting, The Den has quickly become one of our favorite places in Pinetop. We highly recommend stopping by!

As I mentioned before everything was delicious & no one left hungry. Excellent experience highly recommend.

A little advice: if you are going for breakfast, arrive early--especially on a weekend. Darbi's gets busy! But whether you are waiting for breakfast or lunch, trust me, it is worth it. The portions are enormous, the food is excellent, and this team clearly knows how to serve a crowd. They have the whole operation dialed in. The restaurant itself is adorable, full of personality, and has the kind of lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes a meal feel like part of the vacation. For lunch, Dan ordered the Monte Cristo, served on a French toast bun with raspberry compote for dipping. It was sweet, savory, crispy, and absolutely delicious. We shared it, of course! I ordered the green chile cheeseburger, and it was packed with flavor. Breakfast was a whole adventure. We ordered one cinnamon roll to share, not realizing it was approximately the size of four normal cinnamon rolls! We both laughed, cut ourselves a slice, and immediately asked for a box. It was warm, ooey-gooey perfection, loaded with cinnamon and butter and covered in cream cheese frosting. Honestly, it may have been the best cinnamon roll I have ever eaten. As though that were not enough, we had also ordered a side of bacon--four generous slices--and full breakfasts. We both chose the prime rib Benedict, and it was incredible. The eggs were large and beautifully colored, the English muffin was tender, the sauce was just right, and the hash browns had that perfect crispy crunch. Needless to say, we did not finish everything at either meal. Darbi's definitely believes in leftovers! The prices were very reasonable, and the waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming during both visits. Between the huge portions, creative dishes, fun atmosphere, and outstanding food, Darbi's is a must for breakfast or lunch in Pinetop. My buddy went with an omelet hash browns extra crispy w/ pancakes and myself the sausage link with over medium eggs home fries and toast. Large portions force you to take food to make decisions, over indulge, leave it behind, or take it to go. Thankfully we elected to leave it behind though it was all extremely delicious! We were given our check with no rush to leave but the travel plans had just begun so it was perfect. On our way out we just missed a rush as there was a line out the door so our 9:30am arrival was fortunate and awesome though we had no idea it would be. Definitely worth a morning breakfast if you're in this area!
