Got the premium jasmine milk tea 70% sweetness which was so fragrant and delicious. The boba was soft, chewy and flavorful. Our orders were taken and prepared quickly, despite the number of people who were waiting. There is no seating inside so be prepared to grab and go!

I got a Lapsang Bubble Tea ($7) and it was made in about 7 minutes. The tea itself was very good! 75% sweet was really good. The boba however was a bit meh unfortunately. I could only finish the tea and had to throw out the boba. It was very busy and a bit cramped as the shop was small. Overall a little disappointed with the drink, but I'm sure some other drinks (such as the matcha) would've been better. Drink(50%): 6.0 Staff/service(25%): 6.0 Value(25%): 6.0 Overall: 6.0/10

Saw this place was super busy and decided to stop in. Apparently it's new to Boston. It's located right on the corner of Chinatown near the gate, and pretty small inside. They have a variety of teas, hot and iced. Many different flavors as well. Menu was a little confusing but I decided to go with the snowy jasmine. As you ordered at the self-service you could add toppings for an extra charge, so we weren't sure if our drinks came with all those things or not. The barista assured us that's if you want extra on the side, as long as the description originally said it was included. My snowy jasmine was good. I got it iced and went with their recommendations, less ice and less sugar. The jasmine tea was flavorful and they put a whipped cream on top with what tasted like pecan pieces. It was super busy inside so we waited a little bit. They had a lot of staff making drinks and what looked like a sophisticated operation, but it still took a while. Nonetheless it was good and I'd be intrigued to try something else.

Won't gate keep - it was a pleasure trying out Molly Tea! Quality tea with a convenient location if you take the T to Chinatown for food & drink. No frills location - order ahead & pick up when ready. Service is great -- they wait to put the cold foam until you arrive, so it stays fresh and delicious. Price is on par with the quality and the going rate of milk tea these days. Worth giving them a try!

This is a very good spot! I got the peach oolong milk tea with jellies and matcha foam. It was delicious! Despite being a popular spot, that wait wasn't super long. Would recommend!

This place is a small factory. I got something I had no idea what it was and it was kinda gross. The cheese foam made my stomach extremely upset. Still took like 10-15 of waiting around to get our drinks when we were inside the place. Service basically did not interact with customers.

Molly Tea has finally landed in Boston. Lots of people waiting outside for their order number to be called. I placed an order online but the mobile status doesn't really update so you do have to stop by a few times to see if you were called, should you decide to leave rather than wait directly outside. After placing my order, I waited 30 minutes. I thought the tea was pretty strong here, compared to other places. It's not what I personally like but this seems to interest a lot of others. I'd be interested in trying some of their other drinks. Their straws are pretty unique. If you know you're going to be here to get a drink, would definitely recommend ordering ahead and just picking up.

The first Molly Tea in MA, FINALLY! They're located in Chinatown across the street from the Hot Pot Buffet & right next to the Chinatown Gate. We went yesterday (12/11) for the first day of their soft opening at opening time, 11am. There was already a line haha but honestly, the wait wasn't so bad. Total wait time overall was ~30 min. The wait time later in the day did look insane though. My first introduction to MollyTea was the one in NYC's Chinatown! We've been HOOKED since and to be honest... we were making weekly trips JUST for some Snowy Jasmine haha. So, I'm definitely elated to finally have MollyTea here, & a second location already coming to the Allston area soon. My favorites to get: -snowy jasmine -***pistachio white champaca coconut (FAVE!) -premium champaca matcha I recommend their jasmine tea drinks if you want something more floral BUT if you want more tea taste, champaca drinks are great! Pistachio white champaca coconut is my go-to because it tastes SO refreshing & there's nothing else like it! Highly recommend!

So happy that Molly Tea is now in Boston! I've only had it once in New York a couple months ago but became an instant fan, so I was thrilled to check out the Boston location today. Be warned, the wait is long. I ordered in person and waited 40 min to get one drink. Upon perusal of the menu I was really saddened to see that they did not offered the vegan oat milk drinks. I'm not vegan or lactose but really enjoyed how light the oat milk jasmine tea was and the orange slice really was the icing on the cake! The oat milk teas are available in New York but not sure if it's regional or seasonal. I got the snowy jasmine with recommended sugar and ice level. It was pretty good but if you're not a whipped cream fan normally, just try the jasmine milk tea. Hoping this place dies down a bit because the wait is too much for me. If you're not in a rush though, I recommend!! Note: the snowy drinks have a whipped cream topped with roasted pecans on top. Those with nut allergies may need to double check there's no cross contamination.

The boba was delicious! The process of receiving the drinks was kind of chaotic. There's an announcement any time an order is ready but it's just a robotic voice saying numbers which I found a little overwhelming and not entirely helpful because there's a screen showing what orders are being prepared or ready anyways. But hey, inclusivity! The waiting area is tight and cramped but most boba places have this issue. Overall a good beverage and fine experience.

I am very impressed of their service even when there is such a huge line! They are always packed but we went on a night when the line wasn't out the door. They were still pretty packed inside. They managed people very well and service was great. We got our drinks in a timely manner even though there were so many people. The drinks itself were so refreshing and the jasmine tea tastes really good. Definitely one of the better tea places in Chinatown.

Molly Tea is definitely one of the chains that stand out in terms of their tea selection and variety of drinks they offer, but not so much in that it is a must try as people keep pointing out based on the hype. I've tried their Peach Tieguanyin Oolong Milk Tea, Snowy Jasmine, Snowy Peach Oolong, Tongmu Lapsang, Double Hazelnut Choco Lava, White Champaca Milk Tea, and White Champaca Hazelnut Choco Lava. The "snow" itself doesn't give much flavor, but rather some creaminess and the pecans give a nice nuttiness to the drink. The white champaca drinks stood out the most to me in terms of tea flavor unlike the jasmine they're supposedly known for. The brown sugar boba was also terrible on multiple occasions as if they cooked it wrong or for not long enough since the texture and chewiness was off. I got most of my drinks with 50% sugar and it was not too sweet, but their recommended levels are 70%. They've been swamped with orders since they've opened and it is an awful experience with the amount of traffic they're getting. I would not recommend waiting minimum 30 minutes for a drink, though I have ordered online a few times to test it out and it is still a mess. They also charge an online ordering fee now. The most recent time I was there they ran out of their apple juice that they use in the Jasmine Apple Milk Tea and so if you were just waiting for your order, you'd have been waiting indefinitely since they don't notify you unless you're physically there to check in on your order. This happened to many people that day including food delivery orders where people just stood idle without any clue why their order still wasn't ready well beyond their estimated time when you placed your order. It would've been a good idea to disable ordering for a particular product if unavailable, put signs up, or make an announcement in store. It's absolutely cramped inside with the mobs of people on the daily as well. I feel for the staff honestly.. unfortunately they have limited space and don't manage the crowds well despite being open for over two months now. Once the hype and crowds die down or if there just happens to be a time where there isn't a long wait, I'd still recommend giving it a try for their white champaca tea though. Also props to their marketing as they stand out with their drinks and their packaging/bags. read more

They were out jasmine tea when we ordered but by the time we got our order we overheard that restocked jasmine tea. I wish they told us if we waited that they would have Jasmine milk tea again. We ended up ordering white champaca which was decent! Service was nice. Waited about 20 minutes. I want to come back to for the Jasmine milk tea! read more

Not as good as I expected it to be. Ordered in advance and picked up 1/2 hr later. The tea is not as fragranted as other people said if you try the location in NYC. The one in NYC is more flavored and boba is better. Not worth the time driving 1/2 hr to Chinatown just for the cup of boba that is not as good as you expected it to be read more

My friend and I went there today and were notified we would get a lunar new year sachet if we ordered 2 drinks as instructed. So each of us ordered 2 drinks hoping to have 2 sachets. But when we got back home we realized my friend received one but I didn't. The issue isn't about the sachet itself -- it's about the meaning behind it. We celebrate the Lunar New Year to welcome good fortune and positive vibes. We were willing to pay for this festive promotion because it was supposed to bring a bit of joy and symbolism to the occasion. Not receiving what was promised completely ruined the holiday spirits. I was super excited to see Molly Tea finally opening up in Chinatown, so I went on the first day of their soft opening. I waited in line to order for about 35 minutes and then another 20 minutes for my 2 drinks. The staff was efficient, gave out menus, good line management, and used their cart outside to hand out orders over a megaphone. The inside of the store is small, but still had 2 people taking orders. I ordered the premium Jasmine milk tea and snowy peach oolong with both 70% sugar and no ice. I was surprised to see the cream top on my jasmine milk tea as I wasn't expecting it as I've ordered it at the NY location before. This is one of their most popular drinks and the best Jasmine Green tea I've had. I will definitely pass on the cream top with the nuts. There is no mention of these nuts on the menu, which is a pretty big allergy concern. The snowy peach oolong is also really good. The peach flavor is really strong, but I found chunks of ice in my drink which is a bit disappointing. I hope they work through all of their kinks during this soft opening week of 12% off each order. The grand opening is next Friday, 12/19 where it is BOGO deal for their most popular drinks. read more

Molly tea is quite floral and has a strong jasmine flavor, but luckily I really enjoy it so it's amazing that they opened up in Chinatown to bring a better selection of milk tea to the area. I've been a few times now and like the standard premium jasmine tea. I tried it with sago/mini bubbles and did not enjoy it, felt like it's better purely as a milk tea. They have two different types of straws, a mini coffee like straw and then a large boba sized straw if you get boba. It's always been crowded when I go, but it's really nice that you can order online ahead of time (but expect to wait about 30 minutes). read more

Strong, fragrant jasmine green tea without tasting oversteeped at all! The jasmine whipped cream was also delightfully floral without being too overpowering. The pecan bits were nicely toasted, and the slightly sweet nutty taste were a great complement to the milk tea. I did 50% sweetness and liked that level a lot (I usually get 30% sweetness at other places, but Molly Tea lets the jasmine tea shine through without too much sweetness). There was a huge crowd due to it being the soft opening, with about a 35 minute wait between time of ordering and time of receiving drink, but given the size of the crowd and the employees' efficiency, it seemed reasonable. Inside was small but bright and cute, with some windowsill bench seating area potentially (no chairs or tables, maybe they'll introduce one or two after their grand opening when the crowd size levels out). I would highly recommend this place for any jasmine green tea enthusiast due to their high quality of tea and superb experience! read more

We tried the jasmine matcha with salted cheese, gardenia tea, and jasmine tea--each was fragrant, well-balanced, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I got the premium jasmine milk tea. In general, their jasmine tea is pretty good. The tea flavor is strong. The only complaint is the wait time. There's no line to order. But we ended up waited for 50 min to get our order. It's not that they are slow. It's just so many orders before us, like 60-70 orders. We didn't expect the wait time to be that long when we placed the order. read more

The Snowy Jasmine is light, floral, and incredibly refreshing -- not overpowering at all. It has such a smooth jasmine aroma with the perfect creamy "snowy" texture that makes it feel indulgent but still clean and crisp. The Matcha drink is rich, earthy, and well-balanced -- you can really taste the quality of the matcha without it being too bitter or overly sweet. It's smooth, creamy, and clearly made with care, not the artificial kind you sometimes get elsewhere. Both drinks were beautifully made, well-balanced in sweetness, and super refreshing. If you're a fan of tea-forward drinks with authentic flavor, Molly Tea is a must-try. I'll definitely be back for these again! read more

The staff were extremely nice in recommending items for us to try. The place looked clean and packed so the expectations were high for some high-quality tea. The snowy jasmine tea was extremely mid; the tea tasted watered down and overall bland. The snowy peach oolong was much of the same, but did have a hint of peach, but still overshadowed by the mid tea. The whipped cream and pecan topping was the best part of the experience, but not worth the time and money to come back again. Overall, I'd rather see another HeyTea or a local mom & pop place replace this location for a spot worth coming for. read more

My favorite is still the Mango Coconut Boom but I'm a fan of most of their new drinks, like the Golden Oolong Yuzu & their King Jasmine Guava! I tried the Pistachio Cloud Jasmine Coconut, as well, and it's super similar to one of my favorites from MollyTea. I prefer the one from MollyTea more w/ champaca tea. Since their opening here, I have tried almost all of the drinks & their mango coconut boom is STILL superior! Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys mango. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail.
