I ordered Molly Tea a few times now- the most recent time, I got their jasmine milk tea and their jasmine mango smoothie. Love their jasmine milk tea- I get it with regular ice and 50% sugar, because I don't like my drinks super sweet at 50% is perfect. As other yelpers have mentioned, this is a solid choice and is consistently good. I personally think their jasmine mango smoothie is the sleeper hit on the menu though!! I get it also at 50% sweetness with regular ice and it's plenty sweet. It's the best mango pomelo sago in the Chicagoland area in my opinion - I've had some great versions on the west coast, and this rivals some of the best in LA. In my experience, the staff here are extremely rude. They send out text messages promoting a collectible pin, but when I made the trip, placed an order, and opened my bag, the pin wasn't inside. Instead of offering an apology, the barista simply said, "It should be inside, but here." This kind of behavior reflects very poor service. If you're short-staffed, hire more people. If you're unhappy with your job..?especially during promotions...perhaps reconsider working those shifts. Why employ someone at minimum wage for an hour to serve customers with such an attitude? I love Molly Tea. I first had it when I was traveling in Asia two months ago. If you love jasmine milk tea then this is the place where you will find the best jasmine milk tea ever. On grand opening day, I waited like an hour for my drink, and thought it was totally worth it. This is probably the best milk tea place in Chicago Chinatown. I tried other flavors, but at the end of the day, I still think their premium Jasmine milk tea is probably still the best. I love the fragrance/consistency of the tea. The drinks are good. They have a floral note and their recommendation of 70% sugar with less ice is good. But my goodness if I want drinks from this place I think I'll just order online for delivery. I walked in and they have a promo going on with some cart by the entrance and signage for where the line starts wasn't clear. I ended up standing by some girls for 5 mins when I finally asked if it was the line and they said "no" and that they were waiting for their drinks. Basically the entrance was crowded. When I got to the registers to order, the girl who stood there looked at me, then walked away. Zero acknowledgement. Another girl was doing something with the register and acknowledged me about a minute later. The register that she used for some reason wouldn't take my Apple Pay so we had to switch over to another register. I ordered two drinks straight off the menu. I feel like I waited 10-15 mins for my two drinks. There were three orders that came after me that got their drinks before me. There were 10 people behind the counter, 3 people working intensely, 2 people working, and 5 just standing around. I'm not sure if they were in training or what but they just stood there. Getting my drink, the girl just kinda stared at me and slowly gave me my drinks in a bag. Honesty it was such an odd experience. First of all, I'd like to praise the organization of the grand opening! For obvious reason, there's a wait on the orders cause everyone was there supporting the grand opening! but the business was prepared and have many people to ensure a smooth process from ordering to getting your drink so kudos to them! We ordered the jasmine matcha tea and the premium jasmine tea with whipped cream, they tasted pretty similar with a strong jasmine floral scent. The tea itself isn't super strong so it was refreshing. They recommended 70% sugar as their tea isn't very sweet. I opted for 30% and it was perfect for me. This is on the strip of Chinatown and can get very busy. I am impressed by the tea quality for the jasmine green milk tea and thought it was quite good. But it is definitely not worth the price. A simple green milk tea with agar boba cost me almost $10.
