I just want to say omg this is literally the best milk tea I've ever had. People were not hyping it up on social media for no reason. It truly is very aromatic tea and tastes amazing. It's always packed, but they get the drinks ready quickly.

This is my favorite milk tea place in Chicago because their drinks has the perfect balance of milk and tea. I recommend the pistachio drink because it's so unique and delicious. The space is very cute with the pink colors. On weekends, they even have free samples outside the store front. The service can get slow though during weekends. I have waited 40 minutes for drinks before, so please be mindful of that.

Wasn't a huge fan of Molly Tea, especially for how long the wait was. Took over 25 minutes for our drinks. Nothing special, & workers weren't very friendly. Did not think it was worth the hype!

Not sure why it took me so long to check out Molly Tea. The moment I stepped in, I felt like I stepped into mainland China. The order dashboard, the takeout bags, the efficiency, the consistency of mask wearing reminds me of the coffee/tea chains in mainland. Wow, I'm just so surprised to see it here. The shop is small but still had a lot of people. What's crazy was that the queue is so long from online orders. The efficiency is just like China tho, the queue moved quickly. The options and customization is so detailed. Honestly had no idea what I would start with, but the "popular" tags sort of helped me decide. I got a premium Jasmine milk tea hot with lowest sugar, tongmu lapsang salted cheese milk tea hot with lowest sugar, and pistachio jasmine coconut iced with lowest sugar. All of which had really good and strong tea flavor. The jasmine was the most noticeable, a bit more than I'm used to but really good. All of the drinks were good but not as creamy or thick or heavy as other places-- this is probably both a pro and con depending on how you like it. I didn't like the salted cap, not sure why it's green and tasted like matcha, shouldn't it be for the tongmu lapsang? Perhaps I should order it inside and have them put the cap in the drink. Overall, really happy with the flavors. I would definitely try out some of their other ones in the future. So glad to this Shenzhen chain having a location in Chicago.

I love a tea forward milk tea place and first had Molly Tea in NYC. It was so good then and I'm pleased to say my last visit to this Chicago Molly Tea location was also as delicious. I like that they have Molly Tea merch lol even though I am not into it enough to buy it. Definitely a yummy milk tea chain and even when it's busy, the drinks come fast.

A bit intimidating with the crowd, but relatively easy ordering via kiosk (or online if that is your jam). About a 15 minute wait early afternoon on Saturday. I got a white campacha matcha--I don't know what campacha is but the yea flavor was legit and so good. Check this place out!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Got the white champoca matcha. The straw is a game-changer. My taste buds are living their best life. The matcha is just right, and the champoca green tea is so refreshing. Went with 50% sugar and it was still spot on!

I enjoy the milk tea here, and just realized they have an oat milk option, so I won't have to limit my intake any longer lol - I've tried the apple, jasmine, and the osmanthus milk teas in San Mateo - by far my favorite is the Jasmine, and the flavor is consistent between the locations - and I like pearls thrown in though it does change the flavor of the milk tea a bit. I just love the added texture though lol. Definitely enjoyed the milk tea even though it wasn't a "new" experience, it was consistent with San Mateo, and for that we were grateful! My son is at Purdue, and he likes to get a taste of San Mateo here when he isn't home.

It was pretty good i cant say i like it more than the other boba tea places in chinatown, but will definitely add to my rotation.

To say it's crowded is an understatement, it is packed!! You can either order at the kiosk or with a staff member (some items can't be ordered on the kiosk, so keep that in mind). The line/order moves pretty quickly, considering how busy it was. As for the drinks, the tea flavor is strong, and the creaminess isn't overpowering like many cheaper stores, you can really taste the milk tea. Personally, I like it slightly sweeter, so next time I'll add a little more sweetness. It's definitely not cheap, but considering the quality, I'd say it's worth it. They also have fun straws with small holes, claiming it helps you taste the tea more, not sure if it really does lol, but it's a cute addition.

I've been dying to try Molly Tea for the longest time and finally got the chance to stop in. This place is always so busy and the for all the right reasons, it's so good!! I ordered the jasmine matcha milk tea and my bf ordered the white champaca hazelnut choco lava. As a disclaimer, all their drinks kinda have a floral-y type base so if you're not fond of those flavors and subtle sweetness this tea shop may not be for you. I like Molly tea because their base is not too sweet. Both drinks were easily sippable and had great flavor. I didn't feel like I was hit with a sugar bomb drink. If you have kids and or are looking for a classic boba tea spot with fruity flavors, popping boba, etc. this may not be the place for you. I also love how they have their own merch (character fridge magnets, candles, charms). I would def recommend following their insta for the latest news on seasonal specials and merch offerings.

Drinks: The jasmine milk tea wasn't too sweet and had a noticeable tea taste that wasn't watered down. It's pretty decent and I would give it a 7/10! Service: There's two self serve kiosks and your number is up on their screen to show if your order is still in the process of being made or if it's ready. The kiosk also has you putting in your name and number so you can be notified when your order is ready. Ambiance: Bright and cute store in Chinatown! Cutely decorated inside with limited seats but many come to grab and go their drinks.

Came here a couple weeks ago with friends that were in town visiting. This was my first time here and I will definitely be back. The cafe is very clean and ordering on the kiosk was very simple. I only had to wait like five minutes for my tea and the staff was very friendly. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea hot. Not normally a fan of floral teas but this was delicious. It was so good and exactly what I needed on a chilly day.

They have plushies sitting on the couch in the waiting area and a little floral Instagram wall that's clearly meant for photos. We also very much appreciated that they have a bathroom, which isn't always guaranteed in Chinatown spots. I got the large Fruity Party drink and loved it. It had slices of citrus floating in it plus a rainbow of fruit jellies at the bottom. It was both super refreshing and really pretty. I'd absolutely order it again. My sister got the medium kumquat lemon seasons tea. It was super strong and concentrated, which is just the way I like my tea. I learned that I liked kumquat kumquat so that's a fun bonus. We'll definitely be back next time we are in Chinatown.

I initially attempted to order at the kiosk, only to discover doing so comes with a 3% fee vs. ordering with a human. It's not about the nickels, it's the principle of the thing! I instead placed my order with the clerk - less ice, less sweet. Though it wasn't very busy at the time, the drink came out relatively fast. The service overall was friendly, too! Now, about this beverage... if I'd asked for a "surprise me," I'd be happier. This is because on its own, it was respectable and unique in its custard-like consistency. However, given that I'd ordered a milk tea, where neither the appropriate consistency nor tea notes made an appearance, my happiness and satisfaction levels go down. To give some credit, the beverage I received wasn't too sweet, and had a slight velvety mouthfeel. It was unique and interesting, unlike anything I had ever had before. Final verdict: there is no shortage of boba tea shops around, especially in Chinatown. If you're going to do something different, power to you. However, don't say you sell one thing, and sell another.

The one girl who was working here that day was very nice and friendly, but I don't think she totally understood me as I was trying to explain the benefits of leaving tip in cash versus tip on the card at the kiosk where you put your order in. We did order two drinks and both drinks are absolutely delicious. However the Taro milk Boba tea was a little bit chewy. You could obviously customize your toppings, the sugar amount, the iced amount, etc. that sounds pretty standard. The flavors were delicious and super fresh so frankly, if this came out of a can or out of powder, it definitely didn't taste like it. Really top quality and great taste for the price. I believe each drink was $6.25 which puts it right at par with a lot of its competitors in Chinatown. Also, if you order some of the unique drinks that come in a unique square cup, believe it or not. The location is completely decked out in their pink. It's very cute and I assume was really put together for the purpose of social media pictures as you can see from the pictures I took. I would definitely come back here again as it is unique however, a lot of the menu is pretty similar across the Boba competitors located in this exact same mall as well.
