Molly Tea has become one of my go to places for milk tea. I used to go to the one in Sunnyvale and that parking lot is so small and crazy sometimes. I'm so happy that they opened this Cupertino location. Parking lot still sucks, but you can park in the neighborhood and walk. I usually get the jasmine oat milk tea at 50% sweet. I love that you can taste the jasmine tea and the oat milk is not overpowering. The jasmine mango coconut is also good and refreshing. It reminds me of the mango one at heytea. Service can vary depending on the day, but there are plenty of seats inside for you to sit down and wait. I usually like to order online and pick it up. Overall, highly recommend Molly tea. The drinks are kind of expensive but the quality does not reflect the price point. The boba was really soft and more like a paste than a tapioca ball. I kind of liked this location. They were less busy than the Sunnyvale location. Molly Tea up in the Bay Area seems to choose their location by whichever strip shopping center has the smallest parking lot. They are like all modern places. You want service? Go do it yourself at the kiosk. Only service here is handing out drinks after ordering. We decided to be a little different...No "Oriental Jasmine" cups for us. I don't get the hype T^T this is third go at Molly tea, got all the different types of milk tea plus the jasmine whipped cream. The floral taste is nice, but tea is the wrong word to describe it. My first time trying Molly Tea and I'm disappointed. I knew that the wait would be a while since it was a Saturday, so I downloaded the mobile app and ordered ahead of time. The estimated time they gave us was wildly inaccurate. Once we got there and went inside, it was an additional half an hour wait. It is absolutely chaotic in there - completely packed with people ordering at the kiosk (which also had a long line), and just a ton of people waiting for their drinks. My husband and I got the Jasmine milk tea (add brown sugar boba +.99 - total 7.98) and I got a peach tieguanyin oolong milk tea (6.59). Both with regular sugar 100% and less ice. Both drinks were extremely watery. The floral notes of the tea does come through and it tastes like higher quality than average. However, it was way too watered down. The brown sugar boba was also extremely mediocre and was mushy, not QQ at all. 100% sweetness was about right, but since it was so watered down it didn't matter anyways. Peach flavor (essence) was quite strong in my drink as well, but also, again just watered down as a whole. I will say the pink packaging is cute for photos. Definitely not coming back anytime soon, though. read more

First time I have tried the Molly Tea location in Cupertino. Overall, I think all Molly Tea's are pretty much the same in flavor and taste. I usually get their Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, but I wanted to try something new so tried the Pistachio Jasmine Coconut tea and the Premium Jasmine Mango Coconut Tea. The pistachio jasmine coconut was an interesting balance between pistachio and the floral notes of the jasmine tea. It was hard to tell that there was coconut in it. The premium jasmine mango coconut tea was a bit sour for me because the mangos were not sweet. Though it came with a cream top to help make it creamy and a little sweeter. I think this was okay, if the mangoes were sweeter it would be better. I also thought that it's better without the jasmine flavor. My brother and I came here after lunch as I wanted to try a new milk tea place. I ordered the Tongmu Lapsang Bubble Tea, 50% sugar while my brother had the Jasmine Matcha, 70% sugar. At first when I looked at the website, I wasn't too eager as there didn't seem to be many options. However, in store (and online ordering) - there were plenty of options to choose from. I guess each store had their own variety to choose from, so make sure to ch co each store's specific menu. Since we came mid day on a weekday, there weren't that many people inside. However, one look at the counter would tell you it was busy! There were tons of orders lined up for pick up. We waited about 10-15 minutes after ordering for our drinks. On the kiosk, there was a promotion, but I couldn't activate it. I asked the staff about it and she said it would start tomorrow - bummer. Staff seemed friendly and they were certainly efficient at their jobs. Overall, my brother enjoyed his drink, but didn't have much comments on it. I liked my bubble tea - the brown sugar boba pearls were a nice consistency and had good flavor. The tongmu lapsang tea was good - not too rich, but definitely not too weak in tea profile either. Everything paired well at 50% sugar. My only complaint is the lack of option of sizes - I finished my drink way too quickly and would have liked the option to order a bigger size (I know - I probably shouldn't, but I make the most of my treat when I have it!). The hype around Molly Tea is SO real and I had to see what it was about for myself. My husband and I came to the Cupertino location and first things first, parking is not great and it gets BUSY. The store itself is actually pretty big but it was packed left and right when we went. The premium jasmine matcha was good and you can really taste both the matcha and the jasmine, which is actually pretty uncommon compared to other boba spots where the flavors get lost. My only regret was adding boba because it was hard and tasted a bit old, which took away from the drink for me. On the other hand, the pistachio jasmine coconut was VERY different but in the best way. You could literally taste all the flavors at once and it was surprisingly so good. This tea shop was one of my favorite places in Sunnyvale, so I was quite happy when they opened a Cupertino location! Parking was easier to find in this location, and there is a similar amount of seating. The glass windows and light colors made it felt very spacious when my friend and I were enjoying our drinks. I loved the pairing of the sweet and strong matcha taste with the jasmine tea and salted cheese. All of their jasmine tea combos are of great quality, and my drink specifically had a good savory contrast that balanced out the drink without overpowering it. I normally leave reviews for great places or really bad ones and after getting bad drinks two different times here, I must leave a 1 star review. The 1st time, we order reg ice and 70% sweet, but both drinks had no ice and 0% sweet so we had to go home and add our own ice and sweetener. We thought the first time was a fluke and maybe they had a new worker who didn't know how to read the order so we went another time, which was a terrible mistake. The 2nd time we ordered 4 drinks with no ice and 70% sweet, but 2 of the drink actually did come with less ice and 2 of them had 0 sweetness. At $9 a drink one would assume this place would have amazing drinks, but I actually still don't know what a normal drink tastes like here because both times they mess it all up.
