I've always been a fan of Molly Tea and have enjoyed their drinks at other locations, so I was excited to stop by the Cupertino store on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown. The tea tasted much bland, lacking the rich tea aroma and flavor that other Molly Tea has. I ordered one of my usual drinks, so I had a good point of comparison, and the difference was noticeable. As with other Yelpers, this location is actually quite inconvenient as there are about six spaces available for an otherwise very popular boba shop. So depending on your luck, you may need to wait around until a spot opens up. Others have reported parking elsewhere and walking over. On a Wednesday mid afternoon, this place was packed. The staff was friendly and took the time to answer my questions. My drink took perhaps about 10 minutes to be served up. I wasn't impressed by my oolong milk tea drink. It is really my test as a comparison with the plethora of boba places around the Bay. And for that, I most likely will not be returning anytime soon. read more

I've really been wanting to try Molly Tea, especially after hearing many of their other locations were closing down or going through rebrands, etc. The Bay Area stores are unaffected, but I didn't want to miss my chance so I came here right when they opened on the weekend. First off, we love Molly Tea's Jasmine milk teas and have always ordered from either the Sunnyvale/San Mateo locations and we really enjoyed it. We enjoys drinking it so much that we have to get 2 each for our kids and 3 each for us adults every single time!! On Monday, we were near this Cupertino location so decided to order 10 drinks, nothing complicated, just 9 premium jasmine milk teas & 1 snowy jasmine. Horrible mistake!!! The jasmine milk teas had almost no tea taste, straight up water & some milk. Even my 8 yr old said it tastes like melted ice and milk. The whipped cream in the snowy jasmine was just so thick and had no jasmine taste. We also tried boba in one of the drinks and another bad decision, boba was like soggy and felt nasty. It's wasn't even a lot of boba added either. The service was ok-ish? The at first handed me the wrong order? One bag. I had to ask her this is 10 drinks? And she then checked the others and proceeds to hand me the other bag from opposite side. I had to ask again like that's my 10 drinks? I had to stop her and requested for my drinks to be packed in 2 bags bcas no way I am driving with drinks stacked up and risking my car getting drenched in milk teas. While the young lady was packing the other drinks into the second bag, the guy came over to her and told her to go so something else so he finished bagging the drinks and gave me that second bag only. I had to ask him for my other bag... And he didn't even pack me any big boba straws!! Lucky I checked and grabbed one. Molly Tea is a hyped up boba shop across the street from Main Street Cupertino. The store is relatively clean but can get very crowded. The drinks are kind of expensive but the quality does not reflect the price point. The boba was really soft and more like a paste than a tapioca ball. I love that you can taste the jasmine tea and the oat milk is not overpowering. The jasmine mango coconut is also good and refreshing. It reminds me of the mango one at heytea. Service can vary depending on the day, but there are plenty of seats inside for you to sit down and wait. I usually like to order online and pick it up. Overall, highly recommend Molly tea. The jasmine whipped cream with pecan is by far the best item on their menu. I could have it by itself. Molly Tea has very strong floral notes and is definitely on the less sweet side, which I like. They recommend ordering above 70% sweetness if you want it more sweet. We've ordered it for delivery a few times and the packaging itself seems over-the-top secure. This location of Molly Tea is located on a corner of a busy intersection. Parking is a bit limited here, so you may have to park in the neighborhood nearby and walk over. I ordered ahead, so not much service. When I ordered online, I did not see my usual at their other locations - their Snowy Jasmine with white boba, so I thought maybe they do not have it here. I ordered their Premium Jasmine Milk Tea with jasmine whipped cream with pecan and white boba as my toppings, which is basically the same drink, except it turned an already steep almost $10 drink to an almost $12 drink. The toppings all came separately, which was strange. The milk tea tasted off, it tasted more diluted compared to their other locations. The whipped cream tasted completely different from their other locations - it was a very thick cream. Also, no pecans came with it. Overall, it was a messy situation trying to get all the toppings in the milk tea, I had to drink some of the drink first to avoid it overflowing. The whipped cream was super thick that it was difficult for it to pour. For almost $12, it just was not worth it, especially if the quality of the milk tea was not the same. read more

I don't get the hype T^T this is third go at Molly tea, got all the different types of milk tea plus the jasmine whipped cream. The floral taste is nice, but tea is the wrong word to describe it. My first time trying Molly Tea and I'm disappointed. I knew that the wait would be a while since it was a Saturday, so I downloaded the mobile app and ordered ahead of time. The estimated time they gave us was wildly inaccurate. Once we got there and went inside, it was an additional half an hour wait. It is absolutely chaotic in there - completely packed with people ordering at the kiosk (which also had a long line), and just a ton of people waiting for their drinks. My husband and I got the Jasmine milk tea (add brown sugar boba +.99 - total 7.98) and I got a peach tieguanyin oolong milk tea (6.59). Both with regular sugar 100% and less ice. Both drinks were extremely watery. The floral notes of the tea does come through and it tastes like higher quality than average. However, it was way too watered down. The brown sugar boba was also extremely mediocre and was mushy, not QQ at all. 100% sweetness was about right, but since it was so watered down it didn't matter anyways. Peach flavor (essence) was quite strong in my drink as well, but also, again just watered down as a whole. I will say the pink packaging is cute for photos. Definitely not coming back anytime soon, though. read more

First time I have tried the Molly Tea location in Cupertino. Overall, I think all Molly Tea's are pretty much the same in flavor and taste. I usually get their Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, but I wanted to try something new so tried the Pistachio Jasmine Coconut tea and the Premium Jasmine Mango Coconut Tea. The pistachio jasmine coconut was an interesting balance between pistachio and the floral notes of the jasmine tea. It was hard to tell that there was coconut in it. The premium jasmine mango coconut tea was a bit sour for me because the mangos were not sweet. Though it came with a cream top to help make it creamy and a little sweeter. I think this was okay, if the mangoes were sweeter it would be better. I also thought that it's better without the jasmine flavor. Overall, both drinks were okay, the pistachio jasmine coconut was my favorite one. However, next time I will probably stick with their premium jasmine milk tea. read more

At first when I looked at the website, I wasn't too eager as there didn't seem to be many options. However, in store (and online ordering) - there were plenty of options to choose from. I guess each store had their own variety to choose from, so make sure to ch co each store's specific menu. Since we came mid day on a weekday, there weren't that many people inside. However, one look at the counter would tell you it was busy! There were tons of orders lined up for pick up. We waited about 10-15 minutes after ordering for our drinks. On the kiosk, there was a promotion, but I couldn't activate it. I asked the staff about it and she said it would start tomorrow - bummer. Staff seemed friendly and they were certainly efficient at their jobs. Overall, my brother enjoyed his drink, but didn't have much comments on it. I liked my bubble tea - the brown sugar boba pearls were a nice consistency and had good flavor. The tongmu lapsang tea was good - not too rich, but definitely not too weak in tea profile either. Everything paired well at 50% sugar. My only complaint is the lack of option of sizes - I finished my drink way too quickly and would have liked the option to order a bigger size (I know - I probably shouldn't, but I make the most of my treat when I have it!). I made the request for 70% sugar level + crystal boba. The quality of ingredients used is undeniable. The tea is brewed to perfections, leaving you with a bright fragrant taste of jasmine without overshadowing it with the other ingredients. Drinks are made fresh and are so refreshing. Crystal boba was addictively textured and tasted great. 5/5 stars. This spot isn't for you if you are more interested in overly sweet, artificially flavored drinks. The hype around Molly Tea is SO real and I had to see what it was about for myself. My husband and I came to the Cupertino location and first things first, parking is not great and it gets BUSY. The store itself is actually pretty big but it was packed left and right when we went. That said, everything was super clean and the decorations were really cute which made the wait a little more enjoyable. We had to get in line and order at the kiosk, but it honestly didn't take long since the menu is very simple and easy to understand. Molly Tea is known for their jasmine and I love jasmine, so I was excited. I ordered the premium jasmine matcha and my husband got the pistachio jasmine coconut. The wait was a little long but nothing crazy and totally expected given how crowded it was. The premium jasmine matcha was good and you can really taste both the matcha and the jasmine, which is actually pretty uncommon compared to other boba spots where the flavors get lost. My only regret was adding boba because it was hard and tasted a bit old, which took away from the drink for me. On the other hand, the pistachio jasmine coconut was VERY different but in the best way. You could literally taste all the flavors at once and it was surprisingly so good. Overall, I would definitely come back. Everything is jasmine based, so nothing really stands out as super unique compared to other boba shops, but if you love jasmine and actually want to taste the tea, this is your place. After hearing all the hype about Molly Tea, we finally stopped by the Cupertino location this past Monday. There was definitely a line, but nothing too crazy, and the two self‑order kiosks helped things move pretty quickly. The pickup waitlist was longer than the ordering process, but overall the system felt efficient. The shop itself isn't huge, but there's plenty of seating and it feels comfortable enough to hang out. Our order took about 20 minutes -- definitely faster than Heytea, which was a pleasant surprise. We tried two of their popular drinks: the Jasmine Tea and the Matcha Jasmine. Both were delicious, and you can really taste the jasmine flavor in each one. If you're a tea lover, this spot is worth checking out. Sunday online order and pick up around 2pm. The store located at the two Main Street conjunction corner. The parking spaces are very limited, impossible to get a spot during the time I went. Inside with pink color themed decorations, very cute and modernized. And all the seats are taken when I walked in. Inside smells really good and Mollyyyyy. There is pick up area and based on the board to know your order status. Easy and simple! Super impressed by its packaging, attention to details and taking the tea really seriously. And I tried both pistachio jasmine Coco and Matcha Jasmine salty cheese, the first one is lighter and matcha one is my favorite, silky and smooth, meanwhile creamy :) recommended.
