    Marukyu Koyamaen matcha powder
    Emily T.

I don't even live here but wow this matcha is heavenly! I love that they use Marukyu Koyamaen and that you can even purchase it too! The drinks here have a strong matcha flavor which I like My favorite is the matcha crème brulee drink. It's definitely on the sweeter side and almost feels like a dessert... but it always satisfies my sweet tooth. so good that I always ask my bf to freeze it and bring it down to socal! I've been searching for a dupe of it but have not been successful quite yet Service is standard and the interior is very clean and cute (I love all the smiskis and sonny angels hanging around). Highly recommend and am forever craving izumi

The matcha here is legit, it feels like you got transported to japan! We tried the crème brûlée matcha and it has chunks of crème brûlée in it. So delicious! Loved the matcha quality. This is definitely a decadent selection but worth it. Would love to try their other options too as well as the Hojicha soft serve which was my favorite j. Japan!

I dropped by on a Sunday afternoon and found that the usual long lines were gone. Maybe 2-3 groups were waiting in line. They were taking orders at the counter and via one kiosk (the other was down), so the wait wasn't bad. The drink menu has a lot of Americanized options. Combining matcha with strawberry or yuzu isn't something you see in Japan. I tried the Honey Matcha Latte to get a purer matcha taste, but the honey flavor was a bit too strong and masked the matcha. For my taste, honey isn't the best sweetener for matcha. They emphasize their high-quality matcha, but it was hard for me to tell. The speed of service was excellent. The drinks came out quickly, and the staff were all energetic and working hard.

Luckily the line wasn't bad the day we went. I like tea lattes and this was near where we had dinner. Lots of choices. We picked Honey matcha latte and Kuro hojicha latte at the end. Made efficiently. This place is packed but they have a system. Could tell they use decent powders. Both were perfect amount of sweetness. Good flavors. It satisfied my drink craving. Would come back. Grab and go style. Not a sit down kind of place.Private lot in front though.

Izumi Matcha is a very hyped matcha shop and I think they're pretty good! This location is in a busy plaza, so it can get packed and there most likely will be a line. It's a grab and go kind of spot, although there are some outdoor tables. I've gotten the Strawberry Matcha Latte and Creme Brulee Matcha Swirl, both were tasty and flavorful drinks. I've haven't been disappointed with a drink that I've gotten here. They use Marukyu Koyamaen matcha powder, which is high quality. If you love matcha, Izumi is definitely worth checking out, just anticipate to be waiting in a line to order.

Self serve service! The team took their time, the drink was so good! Went in during lunch during a summer weekday and had little to no wait time to order :)

But first, Matcha! Best place to get your premium matcha fix in the area. This location is known to have long lines but it's completely worth it! We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy, but the line wasn't too long and it went by quick. Lucky us! Cute decor too, especially with all the matcha bowls in display. I ordered the Strawberry Yuzu Matcha Tea which contains a layer of strawberry puree, a layer of Japanese yuzu citrus, and an award winning Marukyu Koyamaen matcha. My kids ordered the Crème Brûlée Matcha Swirl which is made with their house made crème brûlée, yum! My drink was refreshing and you can taste the blend of all the flavors. I took a sip of their drinks and it was a little jealous because it was so good! It wasn't too sweet either. So I guess you can say that we'll be back?

Delicious matcha soft serve and matcha drinks. I think I found my new favorite. Thankfully no line when we went right before close.

I am disappointed to update this review as my husband got this to go for me recently and their creme brûlée matcha swirl drink was not good at all, it tasted like a slushee with matcha in it vs a creamy matcha flavor. It used to have good amount of brulee and matcha cream but that wasn't the case this time. I am not sure if they changed their recipe or if it was a bad batch. Disappointed though as I loved this spot

Ice cream scoop too big for the tiny cup, but yum!
    Swaha B.

I've been here a couple of times and tried their various offerings including the drinks and ice cream and the drinks with ice cream. Always consistent in quality and flavor, no surprises here. I like their black sesame ice cream, though I wish the cups were a big enough to hold the scoop, instead of dripping all over. Otherwise a good spot for your matcha fix!

    Yuzu Matcha Tea
    Don L.

I thought my Yuzu Matcha Tea was a little too sweet at the recommended sweetness, but I can see myself loving it next time if I order less sweet. We waited about 10 minutes to get in, order, and leave with our drinks. It was worth the wait and was about $7.37 a drink. No places to sit inside, but there are tables outside.

Honey matcha with matcha soft serve top. They won't take out the ice and the soft serve has an icy bite but I don't mind
    Lindsay C.

Hands down the best I've ever had. I always get the honey matcha latte and add some matcha soft serve on top so I can have the best of both worlds. My drink is about $10 but I don't come here often. Other favorites are the soft serve on it's own and creme brulee matcha. The line may be long but once you order your drink comes out pretty quick. My only gripe here is no online ordering. If you see them online it's probably the Silver Creek location. The drinks are good but I can inhale my whole drink in a few sips. Don't even think about sharing you get a lot of ice and can't modify. Still my fav in all of the Bay.

Went during a Monday afternoon so thankfully no crazy line. Still had to wait a bit because of the one kiosk lol. I brought my visiting cousins and they really liked the inside and kept taking pictures I myself got the crème brûlée matcha swirl. Usually I get the honey matcha latte but holy shit was the crème brulee one so good. Def getting that again

Is there any way to order for delivery (DoorDash, uber eats, post mates, through your own website, calling the location)? I want to order delivery for about 10 people for my friend's birthday and can't find it on any delivery apps.

No. No delivery or online ordering. Gotta stand in line

Can you buy matcha powder here?

Matcha powder by Nanaya is available for purchase.

    Do you sell gift cards?

Hi, For drinks with a sweetness level choices, do they offer sugar free sweeteners as an option? Thx :)

Trying to understand the calories for the strawberry matcha latte (less sweet). May i ask approximate how many oz of milk is being used? also sugar? I saw online recipe for honey matcha, it needs 12oz milk. even with iced?

The people working behind the counter have all been very friendly and helpful. Their Chocolate Croissant is HUGE!!! They'll ask if you want it warmed up. Definitely do this. It is delicious slightly warmed up. I have tried their Iced Chai Latte, which was just OK. It lacked the spice I was expected from a chai, and felt a bit too milky. I prefer their Iced Caramel Latte, which is much better than the Chai. Next time I will try their Mocha.

What I love: - They always innovate on their specialty lattes, they have new flavors that change with the season, but they also keep their original menu intact as well. Pretty much anything you get is solid in taste. Their lattes always have that slightly malted vanilla note which I prefer. Today I tried their new Savannah Mint & Bourbon latte which was quite refreshing. Would recommend getting it light-sweet, it would be overly sweet if you didn't in my opinion. Also the barista recommended to get it iced which was a good call. - Plenty of seating. The place seems small, but somehow they have a lot of seating between the indoor and outdoor spaces What could be improved: - The WiFi is always spotty at this location. I've been forced to use my hotspot multiple times - Their food offering is pretty basic and the pastries aren't amazing either. Would be nice to see them have more options either made in house or from a better bakery. The bakery they use currently is pretty mid. What can't be improved, but kind of sucks (LOL): - The parking lot is a nightmare! It's always full and whoever designed it was not very smart (to put it politely). It is so congested and in some parts there is no way 2 cars can pass, let alone back out of the parking spot itself! The coffee shop is too popular for this parking lot basically.

It was near 5pm. I walked in and the place was empty. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me. I asked for a strawberry smoothie, then walked around to survey all the baked goods. It's a small bakery with lots of trays of individually packaged cakes and pastries. The smell was very pleasant and comforting. Using a flat basket (or tray) I grabbed a few selections. I picked 2 "Heart Pies" that resembled my favorite French Butterfly Cookies. Also 2 pound cakes. The total rang up to just over $21. There's some small tables for enjoying your purchases there, but I took my items to go. The icy cold fruit smoothie was very good and very cold! Not too sweet, it had a natural strawberry taste. The Heart Pies were good and fresh. But the Pound Cakes were probably "day old." I noticed there's no dates or "best by" tags on the packages. It's a nice place to visit, and I will return again.
