Thinking about Thai food and gave this place a try. Tried basil fried rice and panang curry. Large portion sizes to start with. They didn't skimp out on veggies or tofu. Pretty good. Taste is good but may not be the best we tried. Panang curry is a bit too sweet. And special thanks for customizing by not adding any animal sauces. Ambiance is simple. Plenty of parking

Food was excellent, the amount of food was amazing I got at least 2 more meals not counting the one I ate at the restaurant and my wife's was the same way. Service is always fast and friendly and Molly herself (she's the owner/cook) will come out (if she's not too busy) and talk with the customers. It's not decorated like the big fancy restaurants they use their money to buy quality food and you can tell. We've been there 4or5 times and it's always been exceptional every time.

First time at Molly's Thai Ban. Was getting my cell phone fixed in the shopping center. Had an hour to kill so I asked the tech how the Thai Restaurant was? He said he never had Thai food so figured we both would try it. Early weekday lunch so I ordered one of the Chef's Special the Ginger Fantasy. Ordered Drunken Noodles & Chicken to go for the Tech. Not too crowded in the dining room, but they had a lot of food delivery orders coming in. The Ginger Fantasy had chicken, beef, pork and shrimp. Very tasty and needed a to-go box. Delivered the drunken noodles to my tech and left. Menu is large and noticed lots of curry and noodle dishes. First time I saw a Double Thai Hot option for spice level. Only ordered the mild for the Thai Food Novice with the Drunken Noodles. Happy to find a family owned restaurant in the neighborhood. Will try it again. Did my good deed for that day. .

First time trying this place it was honestly pretty decent! I was very happy with the prices and loved the fact that you could order a side peanut sauce for literally 1$!! I have never seen restaurants do that! We got chicken pad medium Thai and yellow curry! Medium as well! I will say pad Thai sauce was a bit salty but with the peanut sauce it helped blend it nicely!

I have dined here on four separate occasions and take all my dear loved ones here, every single time leaving feeling happy with a full, satisfied belly. Lom Wong is the first name that pops up in my head when recommending a favorite restaurant in the Valley. Lom Wong is what I will be naming my first-born child. My first visit was back in 2023 on June 10, the day my life changed for the better. They have a creative menu with seasonal changes that no other Thai restaurant can do. If you're looking for a pad thai, look somewhere else and please expand your horizons. I have tried almost every dish here and two things I will always order is their green mango salad and crab curry. I prefer mango over papaya, and it is the most perfect, refreshing salad I have ever had. The mango is always fresh, and the toasted coconut and peanuts on top pair so well with the lime and fish sauce. The stir-fried crab curry is extremely impressive with their generous portion of crab meat and fragrant turmeric curry. A few other dishes I highly recommend are their beef shank curry, seabass curry, and the stir-fried Tom Yum wide noodles. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes here! I will be coming back to try the fried whole branzino. We've tried arai kodai, which is their chef's choice option and they personalize the meal for you based on your preferences and group size. Every dish they brought out was unique and so so good. For $55 per person, we thought this was great value considering how full we got and the variety of dishes we were able to try (including some that were off-menu). I also love that they promote eating family-style here and bring out all the dishes as they're ready - exactly how food is meant to be enjoyed. The ambiance is amazing for a special occasion or date night. It will for sure impress. Come here if you want a solid, just incredible meal from amazing people who are passionate about their food! Be sure to make a reservation in advance as it gets packed.

Finally got to try Lom Wong after hearing so many praises and recommendations from others…read more Unfortunately, for us, it was incredibly bland and underwhelming. I really want to believe it was a fluke. Rushing to get food out quickly to mimic Thai street food is not desirable when quality is sacrificed and the customer is paying almost $40 for a plate.. I will say the food came out within minutes of ordering. Our server was nice and patient. I needed some extra time to look over the menu and he didn't rush us to order even though he was very busy. The food was so lackluster and it pains me to say that about a Thai restaurant. Every dish was just missing something, whether it was some spicy or citrus. Every dish was very one dimensional. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. The Naem Khao Tawt, or crispy rice salad, may have been my favorite bite of the night. It had a great balance of textures and flavors. It was refreshing and helped cut through some of the dryness of the crab curry. I loved the cured pork sausage. Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai, or the stir fried flat rice noodles with squid, wasn't terrible. I love flat rice noodles and they had the distinct char that you would get from wok cooking. Loved that. The flavors overall weren't bad. Just again, underwhelming and lacked a good balance of flavors. I would have liked more spice, citrus, and umami. We did not care for the creme brûlée duo. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.
