Do you have lots of money to spend on tat? Gets to moma design store! Lots to choose from at interesting prices. Always busy. Furniture downstairs.

I visited MoMA Design Store located on 81 Spring St. in Manhattan, NY just to browse, but I couldn't resist to purchase a few items. The MoMA Design Store is two levels of modern-design objects, gifts, housewares, and art books. You can definitely spend a few hours at this store. The store is organized and fully stocked. On Black Friday, MoMA Design Store offered $20 off orders $100+, $40 off $200+, and $60 off $300+. The cashier was also very friendly and offered suggestions. I love how they have Jellycat items and incorporate Miffy with famous artists and their art pieces. The MoMA Design Store is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

The MoMA Design Store carries a selection for the office, the home, has books, accessories, featured prints and items from artists, seasonal items, and collectibles from current exhibits. We stopped by to peruse while in the area, and it's one of those places that just feel too chaotic - it's always busy in here and jampacked with people. The selection of items are kind of in a disarray and unorganized, and you really can't check out things in peace. I guess it's one of those stores where you can purchase random gifts, but, honestly, I feel that they'd soon become seasoned or outdated after a while and wouldn't have that longevity you'd expect from purchasing with the price tags seen here. We didn't see any SAs while we were there, so you're pretty much on your own in terms of figuring it out. +super chaotic +disorganized +unavailable staff

    Feeling Groovy

The MoMA Design Store is such a fun place to stop while exploring SoHo. Feeling Groovy? Love the fun Pop Art pop up which celebrates the colorful designs of the 60's. From the colorful Vignelli Hellerware stacking cups, plates and bowls in rainbow colors to stacking chairs, the display is so much fun and just makes you happy. Check out the Andy Warhol Campbell Soup Surfboards. The Jean-Michel Basquiat Surfboards celebrate his unique designs. Or pick up a fun tic-tac-toe coffee table game. Need a gift for a budding artist? Check out the books for the littlest art lovers. They have titles like "When Pigasso Met Mootisse," "Good Night New York City," or "In The Garden With Van Gogh." In 1932, MoMA established the world's first curatorial department dedicated to architecture and design. Today, purchases from the museum store help provide educational programming to both those living in one of the five New York City's boroughs and globally. Perfect for a quick stop in SoHo.

I'm appreciated the staff helping my friend and I to get the item we wanted. However, my personal opinion, some of the items here are overpriced. I know it is an innovation and arts piece but for me it is overpriced anyway. I took my friend here because she wanted to buy stuff for her future parent in law but if you have more time I think you can fine gift better than spend extra on brand.

I love all the products at the MoMA Design Store.....I recently ordered an authentic colorful Italian Espresso Pot! Absolutely modern in the lines and colors, yet functional-goes right on top of the stove! I have ordered many times from this store especially Holiday and other Cards, as well as home products such as vases, butter knife, etc. Small but functional and artistic-yet MODERN!

Associate didn't have the decency to replace the receipt paper to give me a proper gift receipt

Super unfriendly staff! I usually shop here for gifts but today I had a horrible customer service experience! I already knew what I wanted before walking in so I walked to the wall where the item was placed last week. I noticed it was sectioned off and all the items were pulled on a trolley. The items were not pulled behind the sectioned off area so anyone would assume that these items are still available. I picked up the espresso maker box and opened it to see what it looked like again just to be sure since there's no display. A black male associate came over and told me "those items are not for sale" and tries to close the box. I stepped back and said "I saw these last week and I wanted to purchase it. Could I look at them?". He just made an annoyed face and walked away without saying anything. Then I was so off put by this that I decided to just purchase this because I've looked at it already. So I go to the register to ask the white younger cashier woman if I could get a gift receipt and check to see if any of the glassware are chipped. She tells me sure and opens the box and says she's sure they're fine since it's packaged nicely. So I asked her if we could just double check since I saw some reviews on the moma website saying their product was chipped. But she just gives me a blank stare so I offered to check the product and she doesn't say anything while just watches me check it, instead of checking it with me. I paid and then she gives me the bag and slides it to me and says "have a nice day" but she forgot to give me the receipt since it seems she just wanted to get rid of me. I remind her and she hands me a receipt that has pink stripes on the side which means the receipt paper roll is running out. Then I look at it and remind her again, I need a gift receipt. Then she gives me the gift receipt with the pink stripes too. This isn't presentable as a gift receipt but I was so upset with that experience that I just walked out and I'm so unhappy with how they treated me that I might just return it. Visit - 5/21/24 - 12:31PM It seems like the staff were just all having a really bad day or they just didn't want to help me at all.

The way in which she followed around my husband and I was absolutely comedic. A spacious and open store with us and one other shopper, and a mere 4 feet of space between the French woman and us. Staring us as we delighted in the first few minutes of discovering items in the store. After about 10 minutes it was still ongoing. She was on our balls the whole time. What a strange and weird woman, I thought. I turned to her, because she was right there anyway, and said "It's not like we're going to steal anything." Mind you, we were dressed nicely, and very respectful of the items, and even purchased something. It was my husband's birthday and I wanted him to have anything he wanted. After I confronted her bizarre behavior, she looked aghast and said she was just there to "help." Please. She was there scrutinizing our every move under the guise of trying to be helpful. She walked away, came back, and told me, "what a weird thing to say." No ma'am. You're the weird one for following us closely with very little space for our entire shopping experience. Like, are you having a bad day or is this just your personality? Anyways, we purchased our item and I smiled and said thank you and she gave me a stink face as I walked away. Funnily enough we were laughing about it later on with another local shop owner and he IMMEDIATELY knew which store and woman we were talking about. His service was exceptional but yeah, this is an ongoing theme at Clic! As soon as I red the other reviews later on I felt SO. VALIDATED. Will be keeping this erratic woman in my thoughts and hopes she is well and finds joy in life and is able to heal from the shackles of racism.

I asked perfumes were exclusive to Stele and was told "not sure but most everything"...and saw a ton of lines that are not exclusive. The stones aren't a very good vehicle to capture scents (probably why I've never seen them at any other perfume store) and the layout is by house without any general descriptions or information on the brand.
