I had a very disappointing buying experience at Bishop Alfa Romeo in Hurst. I negotiated the price on a specific vehicle online, and within minutes the advertised price was reduced to the amount we had agreed on. Later I was told they had "the same vehicle" with only 54 miles, so I made the trip to the dealership ready to purchase it. Unfortunately, it was not equipped the same. After the purchase, I realized it lacked the sunroof and premium wood interior trim that the original vehicle had. I take responsibility for not catching those differences before signing, but I also feel they should have been clearly pointed out since I specifically came for the original vehicle. The salesperson was handling multiple customers at once and I never felt like I received personal attention during such a major purchase. I also had to take the vehicle to another Alfa Romeo dealership shortly after buying it to have the tires balanced and to get help understanding some of the vehicle's features. I contacted the sales manager hoping to find a solution, but instead felt dismissed. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing vehicle purchases I've experienced. I would encourage future buyers to carefully compare every option and feature before signing anything and not assume two vehicles are equipped the same. read more

ONE THING THAT MADE THE TRIP EXCEPTIONAL WAS THE COURTESY RIDE FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE DEALERSHIP. And that's where the pleasurable experience STOPPED. What should've been a 2 hour transaction, as I had my OWN financing & had selected the vehicle of my choosing; took upwards of 3-4 hours. I experienced a few problems that were quite memorable. Called Greg in the service department today. Explained over the phone that a few check engine lights had come on in my 2016 Granturismo Sport. I'm pretty car savvy and since I hadn't driven the car for awhile we both agreed it was probably the battery which Maserati recommends replacing every 4 years. With my code reader everything that came up suggested it was battery related in one way or another. I then cleared the codes with my own OBDII reader and asked him if I could swing by and get a new battery throw in today. Greg said come on by that he could get it done in an hour. Apon arrival Greg immediately greeted me, took my keys and had me ready to settle up in exactly an hour. The passenger white back up bulb had apparently burned out and they changed that out for me as well. While waiting I picked up a cool Maserati hat from John in parts and off I went. No issues All in all... I can't really say much about the sales guys as I didn't purchase my vehicle from them but I have had service there a few times with Gregs help and have ordered a few parts from John. These 2 guys are really solid guys and I really recommend them. I did inquire (I'm still on the fence) about purchasing the new MC20 and Michael the GM called me within a few minutes of my internet inquiry and spoke to me for about 20 min regarding the rollout of the vehicle. The only thing I guess I could say that was somewhat weird was while I was waiting for service to be complete for nearly an hour I walked around the entire dealership and lot and I never did see any sales people get out of there office to greet me or try and show me anything.... maybe they knew I was just waiting for my car to be finished? read more

Luckily I did not have a any issues that really effected the driving of our Alfa Guila but we had a ton of little things here and there. They did schedule a loaner Alfa, they did honor the entire warranty they still have a ton of internal issues to work out of the service department such as a phone system that will actually put you thru to a human but the overall experience is getting there. I had a chance to meet with the new Service Manager Carson who is doing his best to move Essence from 2 star to 5 star treatment like any Park Place dealership has treated me and I'm willing to give him the chance. DON'T BUY from Essence Maserati. I made the mistake of buying a preowned Jeep Grand Cherokee from this dealership and it has been nothing but a headache. Warnings: 1) The car was incredibly dirty, but I thought "no big deal they will clean it before I buy it." 2) They jacked up the APR on our loan, we used our own financing and reduced it over 6% 3) One of the tires was deficient, they fixed it for free a week later. 4) The second we drove our Jeep off the lot, a warning light came on, it sat at a Jeep dealership for a week getting fixed (covered under warranty) 5) They didn't pay off my fiancé's trade in until a month later (after I called 5 times) 6) There was a missing trim piece on the car, I thought no big deal... Wrong! I had to drive to the dealership 45min on three separate occasions because these incompetent people couldn't fit the part or just forgot to order the right piece. I had to call in for 2 weeks to get this fixed and we ended up having to use a 3rd party because they didn't have the expertise to fix a Jeep!!! How can you manage a Maserati or luxury car then?!?! After having a terrible experience with another Alfa Romeo dealership with the sales department specially and finding out other dealers don't provide you with a loaner during services done we decided to give Essence Maserati Alfa Romeo a try. It's a lot farther but we thought of giving these guys a chance to deliver a decent customer service. I called them first to set an appointment because my engine light came on for the second time in a period of two months or so. I had a wonderful experience on the phone with the service representative. Positive experience right from the start. The closest available date where they could provide a loaner was about three weeks from that point. Oh well, as long as I'm safe on the road with the engine light on, the long wait didn't bother me that much. I was so relieved to be treated politely and with genuine care, and not being treated like someone who would be on Jerry Springer's show. Then, my husband took the car and oh boy, he said that he was treated so well that he felt like he was just dreaming. But no, that's the same treatment we both experienced either on the phone and in person. People are polite and treat customers with dignity and they're not snobby at all. They take customer service seriously. What a difference this place made for us. We have decided that for our next service we will go back. And when it's time to get a new Alfa we will definitely go here too, even though we haven't seen how the sales department treats customers. But I'm thinking it shouldn't be different. So, needless to say we are happy and satisfied customers. The problem on my car was solved. And the loaner was beautiful!!! Maybe that's a marketing tool, Haha! read more

I was told earlier this summer my car was due for a major service ($1100+). It ran fine with the exception of the battery losing charge due to my travel schedule and they recommended some battery charger. My car ran perfectly before u took it to them for routine maintenance. I was finally able to get it in on Saturday, September 4th. By Thursday, my car wouldn't start. I call them, they first have zero loaners, which is always the case. I asked for a loaner at the beginning of September and they told me it would be mid-October before I get a loaner, offered me a Lyft ride home, but I had to use my AAA membership to have it towed to their shop even though they just had it less than a week before and said it was good. The service manager tells me how to do a car CTRL+All+Delete to start the car after I told him it wouldn't start. How convenient he remembered when I told him I couldn't get it started for the tow truck to get it out of my garage. Fast-forward to Sunday on a road trip to my hometown. Car will not go over 60 mph and I'm on a 75 mph stretch of highway where people are doing 90. I now have to have my original dealership in my hometown do it correctly. Since obviously Essence/Momentum cannot seem to figure it out. The name change did nothing. They act as though you owe them premium quality care by bringing your car to them, but they repeatedly miss the mark. I should not feel like I have to put forth all of this effort when it's their salary I'm paying for. Is it hard for them to believe that I can actually afford something nice and I should just praise them for letting me be honored to use their dealership. They have customer service dead wrong. I paid someone's paycheck with that one service and this is how I'm treated. Thanks, but no thanks. My hometown may not be as big as DFW, but they have treated me well. This dealership is a major disappointment. They offered a discount on what the issue was and a free battery if it were the battery. Not paying for their missing of a mistake, because it was under warranty. I asked if during the inspection why didn't they know it wasn't working properly. So, makes me think your multi point inspection is something my dog does when he walks around sniffing it. Trouble left here fine is what they said. Get it to work long enough to get it home. Mind you my car ran fine before they serviced it. "Getting close the warranty end; let's put trolls under her hood until it goes past 50k miles and then we can charge her." Sounds like an accurate assessment to me. I have a little over 2k miles before the warranty ends and after their "recommended service" my car won't peproperly. read more

My experience was much like the one Jacqueline S. had. We like the car but the close process is unlike anything you would expect from a company with the name MASERATI in it. I have purchased about 25 new and used cars in my lifetime and this was the worst. It simply felt like you were buying a car from a sketchy small time car lot. If my son had not loved the car so much I would have walked and not done the deal. At close there was not a second key fob and we got the it is not in the photos of the ad excuse. I fussed and they agree to get another one. I still have not heard from them and it has been over 3 months. (Note to Essence... I have another one now so don't bother.) Selling a car without a spare key is like selling a car without a spare tire. It is just something you would not expect at a place like this. So... if you are going to buy a car from Essence Maserati be sure it has a spare tire, both windshield wipers, all lug nuts and a spare key. Caveat Emptor, let the buyer beware! read more

My ongoing (and increasing favorable) reviews on Essence... Somewhere along the fun drives I have had in my Alfa I lost one of the front tow hook caps. Just a small decorative piece, but I just so sad (and had no idea what the piece was called). After too much time on Google I broke down and called the dealership that sold the car to me - 10+ hours away. It never came to me I would need any after-sales support and it was a shot in the dark. BUT on the 2nd ring I got Kylee in service. She knew the part name immediately, found one in stock and had Mike in the shop custom paint it for my car. Four days later the piece is in my hand - and at a price that had to be a kindness by someone at Essence. There were some bumps in buying my car, but time and the joy the automobile gives me make those memories fade. Instead, they are replaced with great experiences. Kylee (and Mike) really are the icing on the cake. One day I may just do the road trip from the Coast of Alabama to Dallas to meet all of the people that have assured me of many happy driving adventures ahead. read more

In & out quick/limited wait is the ONLY 1 STAR they get. On the drive home - Stereo/Navigation screen randomly turns off/on every 30 minutes. Ok no worries, maybe it hasn't been drove recently, not about to let that ruin my mood. 2 weeks later - the vehicle is hardly turning over/barely starting. (I might have drove the vehicle 6 times total since purchase & that's to grocery store/gas station) Ok - maybe they forgot to replace a part, it's no big deal I'll take it to Maserati Austin & they fix issue. (Issue was fixed) A few days go by - now my vehicle doesn't start. It's been 3 weeks since purchase & I'm having to TOW MY VEHICLE to the dealership. They find leaks in multiple parts, including a gas/fuel leak. (Vehicle has under 30K miles & Parts on backorder) They asked me when the vehicle had last got inspected. I explained that I just purchased the vehicle... They looked at me like I purchased the car off Craigslist - given that it couldn't even pass an inspection if needed. There's absolutely no reason I should be experiencing ANY issues, this early, especially purchasing through authorized Maserati Dealership. I'm coming up on my 3RD CAR PAYMENT & HAVE NOT HAD THE VEHICLE AT ALL. License plates finally showed up today, nothing to put them on. The amount of stress & inconvenience this has caused me, it's disgusting. Don't let yourself be the next victim - PLEASE consider other dealerships in the area. I'm not being bias towards anyone/any dealership - I'm simply providing FACTS on my recent experience. It's for sure been a "worst case scenario" and at this point, I'm simply wanting to help others be aware. No matter what kind of "deal" you think you're getting with this dealership, it's not worth the pain & nightmares this place has caused. Have taken my Alfa Romeo Giulia Quad to Essence twice for routine service and a front end alignment. Did the work while I waited. I have nothing but good to say. The work was done faster than the estimated time. The customer service persons were both helpful and friendly. On another occasion after purchasing the car I purchased the extended warranty. It's an Italian car after all. The finance mgr didn't play games with non factory warranties or overcharging for the factory warranty. He gave me the discounted price on a factory warranty. I did some Google research beforehand. His demeanor was very professional unlike my previous experience in a Dodge dealership for the same. read more

Would not come back and do business here. I came in knowing they have one specific vehicle that I want and ready to take it same day. The service in the beginning was nice and pleasant. No pressure in buying the vehicle but as we move over to finance department, here comes the cheap service that comes with it if you don't smell like you have money. I requested few reports on the vehicle since it was preowned and only was presented. When I asked the rep to have finance dpt give me a few options since I will be financing somewhat. After applications fulfilled, the sales rep asked me to wait 20 mins since it was "one of those busy days." Ok 20 mins turn into an hour or so. Really? I see customers that comes in after us are being assisted front end and back end until everyone is done being assisted and I'm still waiting. Annoyed I stood up and walked out to see if there's any changes. And not surprising the sales rep came looking and said they'll start on our profile! After all this waiting period, your finance just start looking? What the heck happen to all this time? Seeing that I got impatient about 5 mins later sales rep came out with a piece of paper giving us the finance that I weren't interested in. I asked for a few options but he came back with one pushing for the low down payment. Waste of time! This place does not value your time if you don't look like you have or smell money. Bad taste So careful with the people here. We had bought a car from ecar one Couple of Years ago. Got everything needed to cover repairs warranty for engine and rim and tires also got gap. Unfortunately the car was wrecked. Gap had covered everything except the engine warranty. Told that was paid out in full to the dealership. We had an incident prior to the wreck and we noticed that the warranty had not been entered correctly. We were given paper information with dates and hand written notes of what warranty we were getting with the contract. The information we were give was as follows: 100,000 miles for $3495.00. But when we had to have a repair done we noticed it and made contact. We told it would be fixed and wasn't. Now what we got was a 60,000 mile warranty for $349500 minus the 45,000 miles the car had already had. Making the total coverage to 15,000 miles for $3495.00. We went to the dealership and spoke to Sam explain the situation where he had Salass Wilborn come out to join us while explaining this to Mr.Wilborn Sam stated "He entered the wrong warranty " nothing was done we went back and now ecar one is Maserati Momentum. We went through this with them again and now told it's on the contract. Showed them the information with the dealers name date notes . Still nothing now we got a lawyer about to take them to court cause they are acting Crooked. Just FYI careful with what you do with them, cause now to me they are Crooked !! ?? I have tried to purchase an Alfa Romeo Giulia here three times. I owned numerous Alfas in the past and liked them. The first time I tried they offered me $19000 for a Porsche trade and NO discount on the new 2018 Alfa Romeo vehicle . I decided to buy my wife an SUV instead and got $10,000 off the SUV after all incentives and $24000 for the Porsche on trade. The second time I tried, they offered me 21000 for my Audi on trade. I found a used Giulia TI Lusso with 600 miles on it at a used car dealer. It was from a dealership that closed. They gave me $25000 for my Audi and took $1500 off their Giulia. I purchased the Giulia. After driving it for 2 years, the warranty was about to expire. AGAIN I tried to purchase at Essence. I found a used TI sport online. They said it was there, offered me $22000 for my Giulia. I drove there and they said they had a deposit on it. No sorry or help. I drove to the BMW dealership. Bought a loaded low mileage 2020 demo 330i. Gave me $25000 for my Giulia and took $9000 off the MSRP. I guess Essence does not like to do business. read more

READ THIS so you don't get ripped off: So here's the deal on these guys...They buy cars from auction/lease returns/car rental companies. Put a little polish on the used and sell them as "non negotiable". Fact is they are cutting prices up front because they buy them so cheap OR they are just gutting people on trade ins. They are waiting for consumers that have 600 or less beacon scores. Why? So they can make them feel pressured or stuck into thinking there are no other options. Making someone a "deal" by offering a terrible trade in value so they roll a few thousand dollaers into the new financing terms. Rates which will be offered at 5-7% interest, or more, at 72 or 84 months. What a bargain right? That means you'll never be able to get from under that vehicle folks. The good credit customers buy the Maserati brand. Perfect balance, but don't be the sucker. I was stupid and revealed that I had a good credit score up front and my trade in was worth some money, more than i owed on it. They didn't even want to negotiate, it was like I was the plague. So..that's where this dealer makes their money. Taking advantage of those that don't know they have options. Do your homework folks. This place is a scam across the board and the perfect example of what the industry is so hated for. If you work hard for your money, don't shop here. P.S. During the buying process they were nice. Seemed be be attentive. I get the car off the lot and a few days later it starts running strange. Take it to my mechanic and come to find out Essence Maserati put the wrong oil in my car. I called my sales rep and told him the problem. Assured me I would get refunded, sent him the invoice for my services and have followed up 3 times on a refund with no response. Currently I am sitting at a tire shop with 2 blown out tires. I was told by the tire reps here that both never should have passed inspection due to shredding on the inside of the tires. Inspection was done by essence so no shocker there. Just really disappointed in my car. He let it be known I have 2 little girls I drive around every day and it seems they were more worried about their pay check rather than selling me a decent car. AJ ensured I got exactly what I wanted. I wanted a mean car with a little bit of sass. He was honest and to the point. My car was ready for me on pick-up day. He was friendly and funny. He made the car purchase extremely seamless and pleasurable. Communication was great. He kept me up to date with the car and loan processing. I will start with: I will not be returning to Essence again. The lack of concern and customer servicing was completely unnecessary. I got a flat on my Alfa Romeo and utilized the service for my vehicle to be towed at no charge Friday evening. The service only allow my vehicle to be towed to the closest Alfa dealership without additional fees, so I agreed for it to be towed to Essence in Hurst instead of the dealership I have always worked with, Alfa Romeo FIAT of McKinney. I called Essence on Saturday around noon and they did not have a tire for my vehicle. They said the tire had to be ordered and would be there Tuesday. I didn't hear from Essence, so I called them before they closed late Tuesday afternoon. The told me that they just got the tire in and would change it out first thing in the morning. I didn't hear from Essence Wednesday, so I called them around 10am. They said they had to finished the tire and clean my vehicle, so it would be ready around 1pm. I showed up and waited from 1:00pm until 2:15pm. My car was not detailed, it wasn't even ran through the car wash. There is no reason to lie to customers. Good customer service is communicating with your customers and being truthful. Essence never called me once, if I wanted an update, I had to reach out to them. While I sat there at the dealership for over an hour, I saw at least 10 people walking by, the place was dead quiet and there were no other customers in sight. This is not the way to run a business. read more

This dealership sold me a 2017 jaguar XE with 8,000 miles on it. I drove less than 40 miles before the car completely leaked all of the coolant and began to overheat. I was lucky enough to get it to a jaguar dealership before permanent damage occurred. The salespeople essentially told me that it's not their problem and there's nothing they can do. Stay away from this dealership if you don't want to spend almost $30000 on a vehicle that will break down in less than 12 hours. read more

I've never been to a dealer that just lets you look at all the numbers up front with no hidden fees or garbage. They had the best deal around. I even checked dealerships with a 4-5 hour radius to see if anything was even close and one of them told me they ..."don't know how Essence is doing that deal but to get to Essence ASAP before they change their mind!" Best car buying experience I've ever had!!!! Relocated to Lewisville TX from Denver CO and needed a car the day I arrived. Dominic took care of my needs on line and over the phone. When I arrived at the dealership I spent approx. one hour at the dealership and most of that time was test driving my new Giulia Ti and chatting with the excellent staff.
