For example, one of the other car dealerships prevented us from taking the car to an independent mechanic! You know they were hiding something with the car. Anyway, not only did Texas Cars Direct let us take the car to an independent mechanic, they were professional, not pushy like some of the other guys we dealt with, and easy to do business with. Mike, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you for selling us the newest car in our company fleet! P.S. If you come across a clean, unmolested 1990 to 1993 Mustang convertible, give me a call!

What followed was 33 days of "we can't pay you until the title arrives" -- even though my lender confirmed in writing on 7/30 that the loan was paid in full. I'm an Army veteran and I handled this the right way: calls, patience, follow-ups, numerous conversations with their manager Mike. The day I said I'd had enough, his position was still that I could go to the DMV myself or wait another three weeks. Dismissive from start to finish. On 8/27 I showed up in person with the lender's paid-in-full letter. Only then did they hand over my check -- dated 7/27, two days after the sale. It existed nearly the whole time they were telling me they couldn't pay. The car had already been resold. (Keep-or-cut sentence:) Nothing in the bill of sale I signed conditions payment on the title. If you sell them your car, demand a payment date in writing. Every date above is documented.

Please take the time to read this--it could save a life…read more Almost a week after having my oil changed, my vehicle caught fire while I was driving on the highway. During the oil change, my physical key somehow became stuck in the ignition. I was told it would be replaced the following day. The shop removed the entire ignition assembly and temporarily provided me with a USB device to start the vehicle. While driving home, I immediately noticed the vehicle sounded different. The exhaust had become much louder and produced a noticeable drone that had not been present before. When I returned the next day for the ignition replacement, I informed the mechanic that I believed there was an issue with the exhaust system. I also explained that my vehicle would not shift into Park when I arrived. I spoke directly with the mechanic, Adam, about these concerns. He told me the issue was caused by a faulty shifter. I specifically asked him three or four separate times whether the vehicle was safe to drive, and each time I was assured that it was. Less than a week later, while driving on the highway with my girlfriend and her friend, my vehicle suddenly burst into flames without warning. The situation escalated quickly. My girlfriend's friend had to jump out of the moving vehicle to escape the fire, creating an even more dangerous situation. As the vehicle caught fire, I attempted to brake but discovered I had little to no braking ability. I had to react immediately by using the emergency brake to bring the vehicle to a stop. Quick thinking is what saved my life and my girlfriend's life that day. This experience has been incredibly traumatic. No one should ever have to experience the terror of having their vehicle catch fire while driving on the highway, especially after repeatedly asking whether it was safe to operate and being assured that it was. I'm sharing my experience to raise awareness and encourage others to take unexpected changes in their vehicle seriously. If something doesn't feel right after service, don't ignore it, and don't hesitate to get a second opinion. It could save your life. I wish I did could have saved me from this entire situation... I'm posting the screenshot of the first review on the vehicle on how they sold me a vehicle with no oil and exchange to take the review down I was offered 4 free oil changes

Fair, no haggle, honest environment…read more Buying a car from a family-owned business can sometimes feel intimidating, but our experience here ended up being a really positive one to the credit of Mike. They were fair with us from the start, especially considering a few factors involved in our financing, and at no point did we feel like they were trying to rip us off. There was no haggling, the interest rates were fair, and the process felt straightforward and honest. Mike was especially kind throughout the entire experience. We actually had an unexpected situation happen while we were financing over the phone -- another customer came in and bought the car we originally wanted. At first, I honestly thought we were being upsold and taken advantage of (sorry, Mike), and I definitely let him have an earful about it. To his credit, Mike stayed completely professional, patient, and respectful. He took the time to fully explain what happened, answered every question honestly, and never got defensive. What could have been a terrible experience ended up turning into one where we still felt valued as customers. We ultimately decided to buy from them anyway because of how Mike handled everything. He took a crappy situation and turned it into a reason we'd buy another car when it's time and recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a fair and honest car-buying experience.

WARNING: THIS DEALERSHIP ENDANGERED MY SERVICE DOG…read more If my first review didn't convince you, let me say it even louder: iDrive1 Motorcars has crossed every line imaginable--legally, ethically, and morally. After being served with a formal cease and desist demanding they stop tampering with my vehicle, they continued their harassment. They never responded to my 10-day demand letter for my down payment and instead escalated their behavior in the most disturbing ways. They began remotely accessing my Tesla--setting off alarms at night, popping the trunk, and worst of all: turning the heat on while my ADA-certified service dog was locked inside on a scorching day. She suffered heat stroke and had to be rushed to the vet. This wasn't an accident. It was a cruel, calculated action--and I now have a police report documenting it. This isn't just a dealership behaving badly. This is a business that retaliates, ignores legal boundaries, and puts lives at risk--human and animal. I've reported them to: * Tesla Corporate * Law Enforcement * Westlake Financial * My legal team And I am now looking at taking them to court for punitive damages. If you value your safety, your pets, or your sanity--stay as far away from iDrive1 Motorcars as possible. They don't just ignore legal notices--they ignore human decency. Let my experience be your warning
