Do. Not. Go. Here. My appointment was on a Saturday at NOON. I drove 30 minutes to get there, pulled into the parking lot and received a call the girl was sick and had to cancel. What?!?! I requested a refund via Groupon. It's 8:50 pm and I just received a call from BJ, the person that was supposed to do my procedure. Thinking she might be calling to apologize! But She was EXTREMELY RUDE, disrespectful, told me she normally doesn't work Saturdays but was going in "just for me" , that she woke up sick at 10 am but no one called me until I made the drive at noon. She told me not to call there requesting a refund through Groupon, that she didn't get paid, so deal with Groupon. She wouldn't shut up and I had to yell and tell her I've received my Groupon refund already. I also told her I didn't appreciate her calling me at 8:50pm. Wow! Horrific. Please read original post and comment back from the business owner. The response from business owner 'Maddy A' has ageist comments and includes customer blaming. The owner, Maddy, even wrote that this ordeal happened because I 'didn't have an appointment' ...which is not true, I had an appointment. Regardless of an appointment or not, no paying customer deserves this type of treatment from a service provider. I've deemed this place as incredibly unprofessional, and urge them to please do better. If the business knew that overbooking would compromise their quality of service, wait times, and customer experience...why would they willingly choose to participate and then blame the customer when they are unimpressed? To reiterate: I had an appointment, they forgot about me in the back waiting area for over 55minutes, they only noticed/remembered my appointment because I got up to finally leave. They gave me $20 off of the $200 procedure, since they felt bad for forgetting about me, which was very kind! YET, the procedure itself left me with TERRIBLE bruises & VERY swollen. First I want all to know Mamm's is amazing. Pricing, cleanliness and staff are all totally on point. I have read all of the negative reviews and thay honestly seem like a reach. All the complaints generally are not about Mammas Medi Spa but rather clients having unrealistic expectations. These negative Nancy's thinking there are special rules for them is Asinine. Not impressed with this place at all. The lady that gives the Botox is rude and condescending. I had over 40 units placed and it did not work at all. I went back in for a follow up and they charged me more to fix it. Awful experience. The lady rushes, acts like a know it all and belittles her clients. Not recommended. All I heard was... The owner berated a customer who asked a question about the Botox injections and then was punitive telling her for questioning her she would not get the service because clearly she was uncomfortable. Then she want on to point to all her certificates and degrees telling the customer that she knew better than a doctor (who had presumably done the customer's previous Botox). Then went on to say that patients like her were why she didn't like taking Groupons. The tone was...angry and petulant. The customer was calm and polite but looked distraught as she left. Patients (as this person was since the owner is a medical professional) should ask questions. True medical PROFESSIONALS should not throw tantrums when asked questions. When I go in, I with an open mind. I express my concerns and let BJ work her magic. Be open and honest, let her know your budget and what it is you are looking for. Taking the time to actually write out my first official Yelp review. Not necessarily happy that it is a negative one, but I think when spending hundreds of dollars on a product, customers should know what they are getting themselves into. I've been getting Botox 3x a year since 2019. I purchased a Groupon for 40 units at Mommas as it seemed to be a great deal. Also, I'd like to mention that this was the most units of Botox I've ever purchased to date, so I was pretty excited. My first appointment, 1/30/21, was OK. BJ, the owner, administered my injections. During that appointment we had some small talk about how long she's been running the business, etc. She had mentioned that she was back on Groupon because some younger female customers left her bad reviews. She stated she's a "multi-tasker, and the younger generation doesn't like that" which I now fully understand as she was not 100% focused on what she was doing. My suggestion is that when you're working on someone's face with injections, such as Botox, you might want to stop whatever else you're doing to actually focus on it. I called two weeks later and explained that I still had a crease in between my eyebrows that I initially asked to have "frozen" as it is my trouble spot. In the past at other spas, I've never had to return for a touch up, which again wasn't a big deal. I ended up going back to the spa 17 days later, so three days after that 2-week mark, which the receptionist told me was fine. Not sure of the receptionist's name, but she was not very pleasant to speak with when I was explaining why I needed to come back. I don't need you to treat me like a queen but being the "face" of a business via the phone, I'd expect a more friendly and approachable person to speak with. When I arrived, I explained again that I wanted the area in between my eyebrows frozen. I must have said it 3 times, "I want it frozen." Assuming I am paying for the service, I'd like it done the way I want it. BJ then administered 12 additional units to my forehead. Not sure if this is best practices or not, as I am not an expert, but she only administered 2 injections, each with 6 units. After the first injection, a stream of blood dripped right down into my eyebrow. I've had a little blood from Botox in the past, the amount that made up to be the size of a freckle, but that's it. This was an actual gushing stream down to my eyebrow until she cleaned it up. Another two weeks had gone by and AGAIN, still have creasing in between my brows. This is the most Botox I've ever had there and the most creasing I've ever had post injection. I called to see what could be done and BJ ended up texting me asking for photos. Her read receipts were on and I saw that she had opened them and after a few hours I asked her to confirm receiving them. She then proceeded to tell me to wait 2 more weeks. She said also to use Cronin or Dysport and then said "You look good you don't need to be more frozen...Your supppse to move a little" Again, I asked multiple times to be frozen in that area, I don't need your personal opinion about it. I responded telling her I've never had an issue before, I am not immune to Botox as I've only been getting it since 2019 and its worked perfectly each time and that I specifically asked for that area to be frozen. She responded saying "Sorry I cant help how you respond to Botox and you need to let it work over 2 weeks time if you need filler its 375 and you can fill the dress if Botox isn't working s ynote" Last thing I will mention is that having consultations with previous places I've been to for Botox, they've told me getting filler in between the brows is a huge NO and has extreme risk within that area which is why I wanted it frozen in the first place. This suggestion from BJ made me regret purchasing this Groupon even more now that she's suggesting something that multiple people have strongly suggested me against getting. read more

The day of my appointment, I arrived not realizing I parked in front of the building because I didn't see any noticeable sign with the spa's name on it. So I walked around the premises and decided to call to get some help. I explained that I have an appointment and I'm a little lost. Again, the woman (who I found out was doing my injections) was rude and a little condescending. The spa itself was okay- looked a little cluttered with vials everywhere. But I shook it off. I was more than polite like always- and eventually once the procedure began the injector wasn't as rude- which was relieving. This isn't my first rodeo with Botox- and thought I got a Groupon paying for 20 units, it definitely didn't feel like 20 units. My appointment was yesterday, so I'll see what happens in 1-2 weeks once I start noticing the effects. I give this a 2, because I strongly feel that beauty spa's are supposed to be inviting, warm and kind to their paying customers. Even if they purchase off Groupon. I am only speaking to the dense and unkind staff she hired to help run her business. So let's talk about it... I booked an expensive spa service weeks in advance. Never ever was told or had it relayed that I had to make payment 48 hours in advance. I got a text message, very late,and unprofessional that my appointment was no longer. As a matter of fact, it was completely canceled and moved to a sooner date; unbeknownst to me. This derelict office staff secretary ran her mouth about how she was right and she felt "sorry I was offended." Never ever admitting fault; never trying to own or take accountability for her wrongs. She canceled my appointment and proceeded to talk back against me. That's why I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Big mistake. Wow! This was the best experience ever!!! The person who booked my appt was so nice and helpful and very reassuring about the procedure, which put me at ease... and I like when people are direct and to the point. I also arrived early, they took me back early and were very accommodating, I didn't have to wait at all. I was incredibly nervous about getting my lips done... why did I watch any YouTube videos on it?!??! BIG MISTAKE NUMBER ONE. I kept seeing people cry through the procedure. So I was freaked out to say the least. But I cannot even believe it when I say it myself, but it was painless! Some people have a super gentle hand with injections and she is one of them. Botox absolutely hurts more than getting your lips done. On a pain scale of 0-10, I dont even know if I could call it a 1. My gf is an RN at a med spa, she has yet to start doing injections. But she was interested in watching the procedure. BJ was kind enough to let her watch. If my friend was impressed with her technique, how it caused no pain, and her bedside manner. I had my PDO Threading last week, lower face. BJ is very professional, she explained me everything about this procedure. My skin is usually very sensitive and prone to bruises but immediately after this treatment my skin was almost the same...just a bit swollen with very small bruises that disappeared in a couple of days: this means that she did GREAT! I need to wait at least 4 weeks for the result but after 5 days I can already see the difference. All the staff is kind and nice, I recommend this place. read more

I first came to this spa with a networking type of group, not planning to use the services. While I was there I decided to go ahead and get some botox at the event, because the pricing was great. I have never been more pleased with the results than I was from this experience! BJ told me about another procedure that I was previously unaware of, and it is far less invasive than others I was considering. I will be getting it done at the end of the month. I wait for her to come back and she never does. Customer service was very bad throughout.
