New to the area, and LG's is adjacent to our new location, so why not give it a try? We walked in on a Saturday evening and found a table. The patio appeared to be pretty busy, but the inside area was moderate. There was a band getting set up, but they never played while we were there. Service was pretty quick. We ordered a variety of food - fried pickles, shrimp basket, shrimp and fish, burger, and salad. The fried pickles were quite salty, but tolerable. They definitely gave you a lot. The fries were good - steak type fries that appeared to be sort of battered and extra crispy outside, but soft inside. The cocktail sauce was really good. And my salad was fire. They have a build your own option, which I love. Choose your base, protein, toppings, and dressing. Perfect! I am sure this will turn into a regular visit for us since it is so close. Went here on a whim with a co-worker and I'm glad I did. My co-worker got the mahi-mahi and said it was really good. The pizza was really tasty. I got the Hinson flavor to go. My kid got a burger & fries, but didn't like the taste of the meat. The waitress was so nice and friendly. They were playing a variety of sporting events on the different tvs which was nice. LG's has been a long time favorite of mine. I've never had anything less than a delicious meal served with my favorite beverage. This restaurant features a huge patio space complete with an outdoor bar, a brick pizza oven, and a menu that is guaranteed to impress. Located at the front of Tanner Plantation in Hanahan, this is a convenient and accommodating location especially for those work happy hours. Some of my high recommendations are the Mexican Pizza, Italian Chef Salad, Pork Nachos, and the bacon wrapped jalapenos. Also, they've partnered with another local restaurant to serve delicious lumpia that is a must if you've not had it before. I want to give a special compliment to Kasseeee for her awesome service. Rockin sports bar in the wilds of Hanahan SC. Lots of outside seating and plenty of inside booths and tall table seats inside. All weather seating. Would be a great place for slow day table magic . Wings and pizza possible after 10pm. Only dark beer is Guinness . So reverted to my old standby yuenling with a shot of Kailua in a chilled glass. Decided on the hotest Wings they offered with a side of hot sauce. Enough room outside to have a corn hole set up. Saturday night live band "Groove Kitty"; don't know why they pay a live band and then not allow people outside to here them, instead they play the radio outside. The indoor barista Christy had her hands full with obviously pregnant Casey doing her best to help. Ordered Wings and the girl "with" asked if I wanted them to go. I replied "what you want me to leave . Wanted wings with a side of hot sauce and got decently hot wings with a side of vinegar based hot sauce. . Those commercials outside are offset by the live band when ever the door is open.. The wings come with celery and carrots and 10 wings, I would personally rather have 5 wings and half a basket of veggies. Wings , two dark beers and a red Bud $40 + 10. Not a bad evening. read more

I'm only giving this 4 stars because we sat at a table for over 30 minutes and asked for a server 3 times before we got one. There was a party of 10 people that sat behind us 15 min after we arrived and they got service and drinks (from a young woman with short blonde hair, which I'm sure she saw $$$$ which is why we were ignored) before we even received a menu. We had a Hawaiian pizza, pepperoni, and the bread sticks. SO good!!! Had a Caesar salad too and it was great! Drink wise, their sweet tea was perfect and we had some chocolate cake shots that were good too. Atmosphere is fun and comfortable. They have an outside bar along with an inside bar. Hanahan doesn't have a ton of restaurant and happy hour options, but I've been to LG's By the Creek twice with friends and enjoyed it both times. It is a family-friendly restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seating as well as cornhole games outside. They have other specials like Bingo and Taco Tuesdays, and it would be a fun place to hang out and watch the game on the outdoor TVs. The bar's stumbling distance from several local subdivisions, which is great since parking is a bit scarce- it shares a lot with O2 Fitness, a dentist office, and a day care. In both trips, my friends and I ordered a variety of sports bar appetizers like fried shrimp, wings, french fries, onion rings, and mozzerella sticks. Although it took a little longer than we expected, the food came out hot with several sauces and dips. My favorite item was the mozzerella sticks which are obviously full of cheese but also have cheese sprinkled on the top. The marinara sauce with the sticks was also really good- if it's the same sauce used on the pizza, I guess I'll have to try a pizza next time. I don't get to Hanahan often, but when I'm in the area, LG's would be my first choice for apps or a meal. It's a locals joint, but if you go, you'll see why everyone likes it. read more

While visiting family my sister an I decided to visit LG's and say hello to owner Laura. I grew up in Hanahan and miss the people. Wish we had a place like this to go to growing up. Laura sat and talked with us and let us know about a special fried corn they were having, of course we partook in this dish! It was wonderful. Fresh corn fried and then rolled in a wonderful mixture of parmesan cheese, cilantro and bacon. IT WAS AWESOME. We also had the special of low country boil. And it too was very tasty. the only thing missing for me was a little sour cream for my potatoes. But Laura is now on top of that! We also had to try the fried pickles. NOW let me tell you that those were wonderful and served with a great sauce of aioli with shallots, dill and lemon. That was the best dipping sauce I have ever had (I used up the remaning on my shrimp! it was that good!) There is usually a crowd of locals here, and everyone knows each other and has a great time. The weather was rainy so that (along with it being spring break) must have kept some of my old school mates away. Almost every night of the week there is a special along with the regular menu. If you like the Facebook page you can see posts for upcoming events and specials. They have drink specials, cornhole tournaments and live music sometimes. This is a very nice place to meet up with a group of friends and have a great time with food and drinks. there are 6 large flat screens with sports on them so just about anywhere you sit you can catch a game. This is definitely what I would call more of a hole in the wall bar. Our waitress was the best part. We came on Halloween night, and the kitchen was understaffed. We started off with mozzarella sticks and pickles which were needed with how long the food took to come out. I had the Dave and Barry burger which was something I wouldn't have tried if our waitress didn't recommend. It was pretty good with the onion rings. Nice local Bar & Grill w/ good food (great pizza). Kids are okay to bring during normal people hours but be warned after 7 or 8 the intoxicated folks can make for an entertaining time, I've been one so don't take offense. Beers are cheap ($2 domestics) and surprisingly they have a very nice craft beer selection. I think the star of this place if you are eating and not drinking are the pizzas. We have been very impressed with the quality of pizza and when we have guests in town this is their first request. They changed their menu and no longer serve typical entrees (I think they were Italian before). They are sticking with appetizers (get the Mahi bites), sandwiches, pizza, and salads. Still good stuff to accompany your drinks. The people that go here obviously know each other (good thing) and the main feature of this place seems to be the bar. It is not 100% kid friendly but I'm not saying this as a bad thing at all. I just want people to be aware if you are looking for later in the evening dining options with their family that you may want to look elsewhere. On the outside patio there is cigar/cigarette smoke and inside the main bar is very close to the dining booths and the patrons use some vulgar language. I still love their pizza and the neighborhood happy hour there is awesome! For the odd things: There is no hostess station so when you walk in so you have to pretty much grab somebody to get anything but to be honest they are getting better about this. The owner is very nice and will listen to any criticism you have with a smile and actually make changes. The wait staff is hit or miss but have significantly improved over the past few months as I think they have cleaned house. read more

The hidden gem of Hanahan. LG's is an amazing place. In the surface it may look like a bar. However this is a family friendly restaurant that everyone can have fun at. The restaurant is full of locals that more often than not are regulars at LG's. All of which are friendly and always make new comers to the party comfortable and welcomed. Everything on the menu from the sandwiches to the hot wings and even the salads will not disappoint. The beer selections is great serving local crafts and all of the standard domestics that you would expect. One interesting thing about LG's is the outdoor area. Having a full service bar make hanging out a blast. They have TVs outside so you don't miss a thing as well as corn hole boards to keep you and your friends hanging out and enjoying the evening. I love LG's. It's honestly a hidden gem in Hanahan. A couple friends of mine turned me on to it after inviting me to go play bingo on Tuesday's, which is also $1-1.50 tacos and $3 margaritas. Even since then, we've been going back almost weekly. Bingo is a lot fun and is always a great turnout of people ready to win some prizes. From drink or food prizes to $15 and $50 prizes. The staff is great as well. We haven't had anything less than great service so far. The food is also good. I particularly love their build your own salads. All the ingredients are fresh and I love that they grill the chicken to order. My husband loves the chicken wings and he's a self proclaimed chicken wing connoisseur. I'm happy we've found a place to come hang out and enjoy some great food and drinks while playing bingo. read more

In the short time we've lived in Tanner Plantation LG's has quickly become one of favorite hangout spots; not just because conveniently located 2 stumbling blocks from our house making for an easy walk home. No, that is only a small reason why. We like LG's because the staff here is always super friendly to us and so is the customer base, the beer is cold and cheap, the food is decent for bar food, they have a great patio, and they have a lively local atmosphere. Every time we've visited the bartenders and servers have taken great care of us making sure we get what we ordered and that we are satisfied with our order. As far as food goes they have a few really good items on the menu; my favorite being the nachos with chicken (or steak). The beer selection at LG's is great; offering lots of craft beers in bottles or cans. They could use some better draft beers, since most of those are domestic like Bud, Bud Light, etc. There's always something happening at LG's to keep you entertained; live music, trivia, bingo, and sports on the television. read more

The food was great (Monte Cristo sandwich and French toast), service initially was prompt and our food came pretty quickly but the server then seemed to drop our table while searching for the football channel at the bar. Coworkers and I came here after work for a quick bite to eat and a few cocktails. This restaurant/bar is very popular in the Tanner Plantation area. It is a bit divey, however it has its charm. Our waitress was absolutely fabulous and had a super cute smile the entire time she came over to take our orders. Food was OK, we had some chips and salsa and some fried pickles. Drinks were good. This restaurant also has and outdoor patio area, it was a beautiful night, the patio area was quite crowded. We will definitely check out the patio next time. Overall a great restaurant, great local hang out if you live in the area. The food was good the service was good and the drinks were good. What more can you ask for. Reasonable prices as well. Yes, would recommend if you are in the area. As we were leaving it looked as though they were setting up for DJ. So that sounds like fun! Need to check that out! read more
