    Banana pudding

Had a most lovely and homey brunch/early lunch here and ordered quite a few items to try. My friend and I got two specials of the day, mushroom katsu curry and shrimp roll. The mushroom was large and the fry was crispy. The curry sauce was very flavorful. The shrimp rolls were amazing. The miso soup was a wonderful size and had veggies in it. The chicken nanban were crispy and the tartar sauce was tangy and addicting. The futomaki roll and banana pudding was okay! There isn't a lot of seating so would recommend coming before or after the lunch rush. The space is light and airy. Service was attentive and everyone was very welcoming.

The online ordering process was very easy. The menu was diverse and very affordable. We ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box, the karrage curry and the salmon Cobb salad. I couldn't resist adding a yellowtail sushi roll as well. Pick up was easy. Unfortunately, when I got back to the hospital, I noticed that the chicken teriyaki bento box was missing. There was no phone number on the website to call. The number on YELP was not useful. There was nothing to do but walk back from the hospital. Thankfully it wasn't busy. When we told them about the missing meal, the tone in which the guy asked why we didn't bring the whole bag back made it seem like he was accusing me of trying to steal a meal from them.... Why would we walk all the way back from the hospital with the rest of our food to pick up our missing order?!!! The lady then noticed that there was a brown bag with a chicken teriyaki bento box on the counter that was ours. There was a mistake during the bagging process. She apologized and gave us a free dessert. But unfortunately, despite having this great option by the hospital, I can't see myself coming back. I can't shake the feeling of being accused of trying to get a free meal...

    Fruit sando strawberry

This has been on my list to try for a long time! But since they're only open during lunch on weekdays, it's been difficult to make the time to come. But today I was able to check it out! The restaurant is easy to find. It's right as you enter from the Annex building. The inside is very small with only counter seating about 6 seats. The kitchen is open concept where you can see them cooking and preparing the food. There's daily specials but make sure to come early because by the time we arrived, two specials we wanted to try were out already. But luckily, I was able to try their strawberry fruit sando ($6.50). We ordered the salmon teriyaki bento and the chicken nanban. Both tasted good like home cooked meals. The salad dressing seemed to be random? My friend got ginger and I got the basil dressing. It would be nice if they let you pick which dressing you wanted. The two bento sets were good and came with small side dishes: egg salad, marinated veggies, a piece of pumpkin, and half a curry eggroll. Everything was good but nothing too special - more of a home cooked style. The staff were nice and served us water. The environment was very casual. Momo was there and was very friendly. I think they have special desserts on Wednesdays and Fridays. The fruit sando was not as nice as I would've liked. The strawberries were sour but I liked that the filling was a mix of custard and whipped cream. The price was very reasonable but flavor wise, it was just okay. Overall: a great casual place for home cooked style Japanese food - great for dine in or take out. I would come again to try their specials and other desserts.

Momo is literally a kitchen style eatery. It's located in the Brooklyn army terminal. Staff are sweet and welcoming. So far I've tried their sushi, the onigiri, the soup and the bowl. Everything tastes great. The only thing I wasn't feeling is the onigiri which had way too much rice and not enough filling. Prices are average, food is great, ambience isn't for me but amazing for take out. I've been here 5x already & will be back again.

Wow this cod katsu sando was amazing! Highly recommended!

Tried one of their specials today - the cod katsu sando. WOW! It was honestly amazing!! It was so delicious and well seasoned! The cod katsu has their special egg salad in it. I shared the sandwich with my coworker, who is a picky eater & she loved it! Highly recommended! Hope they will make this sandwich again!

4.5 to be exact. We stumbled this little gem when we randomly got off a ferry stop. Price was very reasonable. We ordered one chicken katsu curry and one karage curry. While chicken katsu was piping hot from the fryer, karage was kinda cold. Not sure it was done purposely. Cuz I know Japanese do serve karage cold in bento. But their curry sauce was phenomenal. It was so flavorful with the perfect level of sweetness and saltiness. Man, I still think of it when I'm writing this lol. Wish they open on weekend that I can come back to try other items from their menu.

I work right down the street from Momo's and come here once a week for lunch. There are so many amazing things about this place! First of all, all the food is fresh and made right before your eyes. It's great quality that's also a great price. Secondly, Chef Yukumi, who is the founder of Momo's, is so warm and welcoming. Coming in to Momo's each week feels like I'm being invited in to her home. She always welcomes me with a smile and greets me by name. The plants on the windowsill and all the natural light that comes in definitely adds to the cosy atmosphere. If you're ever in Brooklyn Army Terminal, do yourself a favor and go here!

Always excellent! Fast and delicious. Everything they do is executed at a high level with generous portions and reasonable prices.

A small restaurant located inside Brooklyn terminal Off the ferry and pier. Saw many items to try on the menu, but oddly I selected the safe don katsu which is a normal staple. Wide selection of drinks, great service and reasonably priced. Seating can be a little tricky and hit or miss depending on how many are entertaining this place during lunch. - maybe take it outside if it is summertime Definitely a must try if in the general area or coming off the ferry.

Got lost getting here since it's my first time at Brooklyn army terminal. Keep your eye out for the Annex sign on the building. Small spot with really only 6ish seats. Such a sweet find in this area. Ordered their special yellowtail bowl and it came with a salad. The fish was fresh with some dressing on top which was delicious - didn't even need any soy sauce. The rice was kind of vinegary which works for me because i Love vinegar but the rice could have been less moist. They don't have a bathroom in the unit so you have to go to the 2nd floor and walk through empty hallways. Such a pleasant find near nyu hospital vs. other food options nearby. I wasn't hungry til I started eating the meal.

Really wanted to like this place seeing so many positive reviews. I ordered the curry chicken katsu lunch which was okay, it was on the really salty side and even though I was eating lunch at the counter I was not given a cup of water. Just standard service I think a cup of water should be provided without having to request it.

The fish was very fresh and good quality. We tried the fried purple yams, fried chicken, stir fried udon, yakisoba, and a variety of sushi platters. I would highly recommend the Tokyo Don which was a variety of fish and seafood on a bed of rice. The Salmon Lover's was also excellent, and slices of fish were nice and thick. Service: Service was wonderful! Our waiter was attentive and came back to check on us throughout the meal. There's a button to press when you need service, and our waiter was always quick to come after we pressed it. Ambiance: The restaurant is a good size with tables sectioned off into small "rooms". There are two private rooms downstairs that fit about 6-7 people each. The rooms are adjoining and good for large groups. Seating downstairs is the Japanese-style tables where you put your legs into a pit under the table. Decor and ambiance is very nice, and seating is comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

It was an absolute lifesaver that kept the girls happily entertained. And the food was absolutely worth savoring. We kicked things off with a round of handrolls--salmon avocado, spicy salmon, and yellowtail--which were perfectly crisp and packed with fresh fish. I went all in on the Salmon Lovers set, and it was an absolute dream. It came with a massive, beautiful spread of salmon sushi, seven thick pieces of melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, a salmon avocado roll, a bright kani salad, and a really savory piece of grilled salmon. We also shared the Ysukiji sushi platter, which featured a gorgeous, high-quality assortment of cuts, while the Smoked Chicken bento box was a huge hit, offering fantastic cooked flavors and generous portions. The room we were in mimicked a traditional Japanese room where everyone had to sit on the floor and put their legs under the table. It was fun for the younger people but it was difficult for the elders to sit down and get back up. Between the incredibly fresh sushi and the warm hospitality that kept the whole family smiling the entire time, this spot easily earned five stars. We can't wait to come back!

The amount of noodles is decent and the toppings are pretty good the egg actually come with both half's rather than one like some places so that's good, my only gripe is that the cha siu isn't heated through after being served which tells me that they didn't torch it for long enough before serving. That usually also makes it less tender as the middle is still a little coagulated from being chilled prior. I would also assume that chicken broth is less calorie dense than pork so I also felt less guilty drinking it all. The staff is friendly and quick enough with the service and they also have rotation test menu items which is nice but there's a few items on their regular menu they are always out of like their oyster pancake

We have been searching for a Japanese restaurant in our area as a response to the Fall of Tenzan…read more We were looking for a place that can make beef teriyaki, appetizers, and other kitchen items as well as fresh seafood options. I have a tendency to pinpoint the moment that fish transcends from being sashimi-worthy to being sushi-worthy. I also notice imitation crab stick like a sore thumb. When I first opened the package, I was amazed by the smell of the gyoza. They smelled amazing. I can't eat them, but was told they were great. The Miso Soup was in a generous 16 ounce container. It was delicious and clean. The Beef Teriyaki was great. It wasn't undercooked. It wasn't sweet. It had that great grill taste, like a steak. The bed of veggies underneath had that same great grilled taste, and weren't disproportionately cabbage. The dish wasn't drowning in teriyaki and that made it possible to eat every bite. The Sashimi Deluxe was fabulous. The fish was fresh and the serving was ample. Each type of fish was on a shisho leaf upon a bed of daikon, which was nice. I did find one pinbone and one piece had a bit of membrane that should have been trimmed off. These are totally acceptable compared to being served fishy tasting sashimi. There was ample rice included with the doshes, and soy sauce that was dark and strong in 2 ounce containers. The California roll was the only unremarkable item. Tenzan never added cucumber to their California roll, which was always weird, but the rich thick chunk of ripe avocado made you forget everything else. This one at Sapporo had equal amounts avocado, crab, and cucumber, which makes it so you taste none of them. I'd love a little more ripe avocado, less cucumber, more crab. It will be a little bigger, but I'm willing pay a little more. Tenzan's included roe on the outside, which we love but know is not standard. They have a lunch menu on this printed menu. Tenzan no longer serves lunch menu specials, so I am excited to explore their lunch specials. And they have a Tatsuya Age lunch, which I will obsess over until I get it.

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon for lunch. Decided on a sushi for appetizer and a rice don bowl for meal. Lunch special had any 2 rolls for $8.95 and they have a spicy scallops roll. I don't normally get California roll (not basic) because I also don't know what imitatation crab Kani stick product they are using as I have a crustacean allergy. Some Kani stick is purely fish and some have crab extract in it which I can't have. I wish there menu had more details/informations but most sushi places don't list what is in the rolls and expect you to know it or Google it. But for people with allergies (yes, I know, why eat sushi if I have a crustacean allergy but there are other options for me), we would love to know what is in the dish. Ordered: 2 rolls for $8.95: eel avocado & spicy scallop rolls and a Salmon Eel Don. Lots of rice for don and good portion fish.
