    Crab meat fried rice
    Christopher Y.

Stopped by industry city this weekend and came across this gem in one of the buildings! Small but nicely themed Thai spot offering classic tasty Thai dishes. Ordered the crab meat fried rice and I'm happy to say they used authentic crab meat! Portion size was definitely enough for one person and could be shared. Food was super good & fresh (not to mention reasonably priced). Found some really nice outdoor seating nearby in industry city, so it being in that area is a huge plus. Great area for a day-date

Bangkok BAR is located inside Industry City. My commute from Queens to Sunset Park was about 2 hours. It was less than a 10-minute walk from the 36 St subway station. The weather was in the high 70s today. My good friend Cynthia Z. and I decided to try Bangkok BAR. The ambiance was perfect for our lunch date. I told the cashier about my food allergies. Drinks Cynthia Z. - Thai Iced Tea Me - Poland Spring Water Noodles Cynthia Z. - Pad Thai (GF) + Shrimp Me - Pad See Ew + Shrimp: The Pad See Ew was my favorite Thai noodle dish stir-fried with shrimp, egg, Chinese broccoli, and sweet soy sauce. One word: Scrumptious Bookmark this spot to try!

Located inside Industry City, this spot feels like a hole-in-the-wall bar with a Southeast Asia vibe on a hot summer day - perfect for a quick, authentic eat. The food was fresh, delicious, and true to its roots. I was thinking of ordering Khao Soy but it's no longer on the menu and their mango sticky rice is seasonal as always. ORDERED: Me: Pad Thai & Thai Ice Tea: the Pad Thai was so fresh and delicious in every bit. The portion was so decently sized that i was so full after. The Thai iced tea was perfect. Anna: Pad See Ew & bottle water They accept cash, credit card, and Apple Pay. All in order, I recommend this place and would come back again.

Leave it to Brooklyn to totally nail it on the Thai food! While visiting NYC we trekked out to Brooklyn to pick up some household things, and this small eatery was nearby. It is located in a building that houses many open air restaurants. We had a hard time deciding which to choose.... But as soon as I took my first bite of my chicken pad Thai I knew we had chosen wisely. I'm fussy about the quality of the peanuts, the sauce ratio, and the proper "hint of lime" in my pad Thai. My tastebuds were thrilled that this dish needing absolutely no adjusting.

What a pleasant surprise. I came here for an early dinner after work and I was greeted by the sweetest guy. His energy was infectious and made me feel comfortable after a long day of driving and dealing with crazies. Now the food: no funny, this is the best pad see ew I've ever had. There was an abundance of beef (pause) and the flavor was delicious. So tasty. I really cannot wait to go back and try other dishes! Also, the seating area was perfect. It was peaceful and the decor was super cool.

Cool little Thai spot in Industry City. If you're looking for a quick, fresh bite, I'd definitely recommend Bangkok Bar. The seating here is limited but I love that you can see your food being made if you sit by their bar area. I was looking for a quick snack/lighter lunch and opted to try their Fried Shrimp Rolls. They were ready in a flash and were served piping hot, with a sweet plum sauce on the side. The perfect option if you're looking for something quick and not overly filling. While the wintery weather wouldn't allow for it, I did spy a cute outdoor seating area which is a nice option for the warmer months. Service was fast and friendly, and the open kitchen area was spotless. Would definitely stop in and try their noodle dishes in the future.

All I can say is that the two dishes my niece and I had (Pad Thai and Mango sticky rice) were DELICIOUS! The service was welcoming and the setting was small but relaxing and comfortable. I highly recommend trying this place.

Very impressed by their flavorful curry dishes, and very friendly service! Would absolutely come back to try more of their menu! 4.5/5 Massaman Curry -- loved the spices in this curry (very mildly spicy - especially great for those who have a lower spice tolerance), roasted peanuts and fried onions were a very nice touch as well. 4.2/5 Penang Curry -- also very flavorful, 2/5 on the spicy scale, tons of beef and veggies Barstool counter seating with quick service and attentive staff members!

Arrived just as the kitchen was closing. The staff kindly accepted our order. LOVED my pad see ew with crispy duck. Flavorful noodles, vegetables (but not an overwhelming amount--just right), and crispy but not dry duck. Noodles were nice and smooth and flavorful.

Garlic chicken, love the fresh garlic

Got takeout and tried a few new dishes. Garlic chicken with white rice and Tom Kha (Coconut Soup) which is Coconut milk, galangal, lemongrass, mushroom, onion, and cilantro. Love the fresh garlic with a slight sweetness to it, as well as the thin carrot slices. The member who was taking orders was able to tell me right away whether the dish contained an ingredient that I'm allergic to which I greatly appreciated! Service was quick and efficient, you can sit at the bar or take it to go. All the bright colors reminds me of being in Thailand.

Bangkok B.A.R. is inside the Industry City Food Hall. Ordered the Gai Yang "Grilled Chicken" (which is the lemongrass marinated chicken with lettuce chunks over jasmine rice & chili tamarind sauce on the side. Costs $17+ something w/ the tax altogether; reasonable for Industry City. Menus with descriptions of the different dishes on clipboards are placed on the cashier counter. Love all the colorful Thai movie posters as decorations plastered on the wall as I look up to glance at them while digging into my meal. Didn't get to take pics of the movie posters since I'm too busy finishing up my meal before they're closed for the day at 7pm. They close a little too early in my opinion but it's been like that since pandemic times. Staff who work there are friendly, at least the one taking my order at the cashier is. Service is fast also by the way. They accept cash and credit/debit card as payment. Wished they've mentioned/included that the lemongrass chicken is in the form of drumsticks in the menu and not boneless unlike how other restaurants prepare it because the meat is attached to the bone. Can get messy if you don't like to use your hands to eat outside. I like that they don't skimp you on the meat and does actually give lots of meat in the rice platter box to accommodate the hefty price. Meat is tender and tasty. Flavor is a bit salty but it's mostly on the skin, so it should be alright if you don't eat it. It's hard to eat the chicken without using your hands so in the end I did have to use my hands. Luckily, there's a restroom right around the corner to wash my hands. Pretty clean for the most part. Since Industry City is a bit on the farther side of Brooklyn and I don't usually trek down there unless there's something going on like an event, I would still probably visit this Thai eatery the next time I come to this neighborhood. Not too bad of a walk from the D/R/N trains like 7 mins from 4th Ave to 3rd Ave.

    Crying tiger

Went to this place on a whim walking around Industry City. Very small restaurant that operates more like a "to-go" spot rather than a proper sit-down (despite the seating). Not many stools available on a Saturday afternoon, though things open up quickly as people don't spend a lot of time inside. Order up front first before sitting down. Menu has a handy spice level guide (chili peppers) to determine what to get. Decided on the Crying Tiger ($18), which only had one spicy pepper next to its name. They do not lie here about there, even if it's "dry" heat. The rub on the steak is astonishingly hot, but not overwhelming. Steak is cooked well and plentiful, which is always a plus. Had to get through a few waters and a side of rice ($3) to finish the meal. No frills place that's efficient and tasty. Would recommend if looking for a satisfyingly spicy meal.

OMG. The massaman curry is to die forrrr. The other curry was too spicy for me even though I can handle spice really well. They really have a strong punch of flavor. It's even hard to sit by the kitchen sometimes since it is really strong. Never tried their alcohol but the food is bomb.

I asked to sub rice for noodles because one of my kids is a rice pot (can't go without rice) and requested extra sauce, which they kindly provided. The set meals are a fantastic deal; a full size entree, an appetizer and a drink for $19-20. An extra order of noodles is $2.50 and it's really double the amount of noodles that comes in your entree. I also ordered their new dish with has abalone and sea cucumber; this is not part of a set meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has that umami sweetness that comes from a great soup base and the noodles are delicious as usual. The abalone was tender, the sea cucumber had a bite to it. I've tried the fish maw soup rice noodles, and the tom yum soup noodles - both have good broth, but the tom yum was spicy and hot in temperature, so it was hard to eat it quickly. My mom tried the Chicken Fish Maw soup noodles and thought the chicken was not of the best quality, so I'd avoid that in the future. I'm looking forward to trying the dry noodles because summer is just around the corner!

However, the real negative here is the operations. It is a chaotic mess for the volume they are trying to do. It's not about adding more manpower, it's about streamlining. Tables are sitting empty while people are on the waitlist (not due to reservations), orders are going to the wrong tables, to-go orders are in disarray and have to be re-verified on multiple orders, and it takes a long time to get some water. The Yelp waitlist is useless here - wait was supposed to be 5-10 minutes and it turned into almost 40. All this could have been avoided with more planning, better organization, and training.
