We were greeted by a friendly hostess that put our name on the list. We waited about 10 minutes and then they called our name. They seated us outside in a shaded area. It was really nice. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the atmosphere. After waiting a few minutes our waitress came over and greeted us. She was very friendly and took care of us throughout our visit. She gave us menus and took our drink order. When she brought us our waters she took our order. To start we shared some onion rings and nachos. The onion rings were delicious. The interior onion was sweet and the exterior batter was crispy. The nachos were tasty. The chips were thick and able to hold all of the ingredients and the chicken tinga was flavorful. For our main meal my son ordered the pepperoni pizza and loved it. My husband ordered the Fried Catfish Lunch. He enjoyed it and said the catfish was soft with a crispy, and light breaded exterior. He said that the hush puppies and fries were fine. I ordered the Meat Pizza which comes with Pepperoni, Ham, Bacon, and Sausage. The pizza was yummy. I could definitely taste the pepperoni and sausage flavor and the ham was spread out in large chunks. The crust was light and airy. Overall Hays City Store was a great place to visit for lunch. The outdoor atmosphere was great. The service was really good, and the food was tasty.

After sitting we waited for a while as they started making our pizzas. We ordered two orders of Mozzarella Facaccia Sticks to share. One order with cheese and one without cheese. They were both warm and soft. I preferred the sticks with cheese. One of my adult sons got a Classic Pepperoni Pizza and he enjoyed it. My other son got the Bacon Double Cheeseburger Pizza and he also enjoyed it. My husband ordered the BBQ Grilled Chicken Pizza. I tried it and it was tasty. The pieces of chicken were large and I liked the BBQ sauce flavor. It had a sweetness to it. I ordered a Ground Control Pizza which had pepperoni, sausage, red onion, green peppers, mushrooms, ham, black olives, and ground beef. I ordered my pizza without the ground beef. My pizza was tasty. It had different flavors and textures. The pepperoni, ham and sausage meats were good. The crust was doughy which I liked. It was a good pizza. Lastly we shared a Cinnamon Dessert. Which is a cinnamon bread with icing. It was delicious. The bread was warm and doughy and you could taste the cinnamon. The icing added that extra sweet element to it. It was so good. The perfect ending to our meal. Overall Aviator Pizza had a good selection of food. The counter service where you order was easy and fast for us. The menu consists of more than just pizza, in fact many people near us had salads for their main course. We chose a gluten free crust pizza with meats (ham, pepperoni & sausage). The pizza toppings were tasty but, the crust was just ok (too thin to pick up and too tough to cut with our plastic knives. The soda selection is quite limited (Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, a pink lemonade and unknown sodas. The situation wasn't helped by the fact that the machine's ice dispenser was broken on a hot evening. We chose to sit outside to enjoy our meal at one of the super long picnic tables. Each probably sits 12+ patrons comfortably. Great area for kids to run around nearby so as you would assume, lots of young families. It seems to be a great meeting place for families & groups. The biggest downside to our dining experience was the outside trash can. Patrons cleaned up after themselves & the trash can was overflowing. I chose to go inside to throw our trash away and to inform staff of the trash situation. (No need having all that trash near your tables & front door) The staff informed me "we don't touch that. That's the City of Kyle's responsibility. They pick up on Saturday nights." Unfortunate that my visit was 6pm on a Saturday night. I can only imagine how messy the entire area will be by 9pm. I hope that the owners and management can figure out a way to handle this issue since the majority of the trash I saw inside & outside of the trash can was from their patrons.

The gentleman on the phone said they did but had run out of some of the other meats and had limited quantities of brisked, chopped brisked and smoked chicken. i told him we'd head right over. We got there and 1. were greeted with firendly happy faces, 2. I noticed a small bar area as soon as you enter and 3. even though most people were freaking out about the freeze later this evening, the place was half full which to me, is an indication that this olace must be pretty damn good if it was literally freezing and people were willing to risk it for the brisket. While we waited in line to place our order, I get a callback from the Bloodworth which i though was odd. I answered and it was the gentleman I had spoken to earlier to let me know they were running out of chicken and wanted to know if we wanted him to hild some for us. Ain't that super nice and fantastic customer service??? I told him were already in line and about to place our order. He came out from the back while he still had me on the phone to greet me and we both laughed about it. Super nice guy and turns out he's also the pitmaster. We placed our order for the smoked chicken and also a to go order of brisket to have the following day. We also ordered their 5-cheese mac and cheese and their potato salad. The staff helping us was super helpful and cheery telling us about their menu and how everything is made onsite. Their chicken was moist and tender with a good smokey flavor and well seasoned with sald and pepper. The wife and i split a chicken quarter each and that was more than enough, especially sonce we were also non-stop digging into the tangy, mustard based potato salad and creamy and heavenly mac and cheese. Neither is to be missed! Also, while I'm not generally a fan of bbq sauces, their Gold and Spicy are freaking out of this world. Kudos to the entire staff as they were all incredibly nice, from the two young ladies behind the counter slicing the meats and packing the sides, to the gentleman behind the bar (thanks for asking of I needed another Lonestar) to the pitmaster checking on his customers, it was just such a great, refreshing experience. Glad to have a fantastic option close by to indulge in great tasting smoked meats!

Huge pieces of fish and the nicely wrapped roll. We also got the salmon roll, tuna roll, spicy yellowtail roll, gyoza, and the Hamachi Kama. Salmon and tuna rolls were plump pieces of fish and nicely wrapped. I love that there was plenty of fish in them instead of primarily rice. Spicy yellowtail roll was also very fresh and delicious. Nice and simple but fresh and tender. Gyoza were deep fried, but I wish they were more traditionally cooked which is pan fried - the softness of the dumpling and crunchy bottom is what I love about gyoza, but when deep fried it is all crunch and not as tender. The Hamachi Kama was the star. The moment it hit the table with the bowl of rice, it was game over. I was gnawing on the fin just to get some more of that tender fish. I love it when it is seasoned simply with sauce on the side. Perfectly seasoned and delicious - the fatty parts are my favorite. It also came with rice which my kiddo loved. We walked in, told the person at the front our name and were seated quickly. The restaurant is nice. It includes a little market in one section with various food items that you can purchase. There is also a seating area with couches near the market section. The restaurant has different sized tables for seating. Not long after being seated we were greeted by a waiter that did an excellent job taking care of us the entire time we were there. He took our drink order, gave us menus and some time to decide what we wanted. After a few minutes he brought us our waters and took our order. We ordered several items. El Olivo which is a garlic bread. It was okay. The bread was good. It was nice and warm and the garlic flavor was all on top. Whipped Feta which comes with grilled Naan and cucumber slices. The Naan was okay. It was a little cold and needed to be warmed up a little more for my liking but my kids ate it up. The cucumbers were fresh and crisp and the whipped feta was pretty good. It had a slight lemon flavor but not enough to where you could taste the lemon with every bite. Pork belly chicharron which had pork with avacado covered in a sauce. It came with tortilla chips. The tortilla chips were thick and crispy. Perfect for scooping up some of the pork belly. The pork belly was delicious. The sauce that covered it added flavor and the avacado was fresh. The Lamb chops came with Lamb, carrots and a puree. The lamb itself was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and was tender with each bite. The carrots were slightly sweet and the puree was soft. It was a good mix of different textures with each bite. The Truffle mac and cheese was a macaroni and cheese with chives and truffle flavor. This was very tasty. The macaroni was tender, the chives were spread out and added that slight onion flavor. The cheese was very flavorful. One of my kids ate almost all of this. Barbacoa Doughnuts which are mini doughnuts filled with barbacoa topped with a salsa. I don't really like barbacoa but I tried them and was pleasantly surprised. These were delicious. It was basically a soft and warm mini doughnut filled with flavorful barbacoa. The sauce on it added a slight spicy flavor. Patatas Bravas are potatoes with salsa and a garlic aioli sauce. These were very tasty. That salsa and aioli sauce are what gave this dish all of its yummy flavor. The potatoes had a crispy exterior with a soft interior. All of the ingredients mixed together made a very good side dish. One of my sons ordered the Dos Olivos Burger with Tater Tots. He said that the burger was okay. I tried it and I agreed. The tater tots were good. He ate those up with some ketchup. My other son ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwiches with everything on the side. He substituted a salad instead of the fries. He ate the salad up. He also ate the Fried chicken from the sandwich. He said it was good. He is not a fan of sesame seed bread so he opted not to eat the bun. I tried the red cabbage apple slaw that it comes with and it was okay. Lastly I ordered the Beet Salad which comes with beets, pears, and candied pecans. I don't usually eat beets but I wanted to try it. It was very good. The beet chunks were large and soft but not overly soft. The pears and the candied pecans added a crispier texture and the mixture of all of the ingredients along with the sauce that was on it made this a super sweet beet salad. Almost like a dessert. It was delicious. Overall the restaurant is a cool spot to visit. The market is a neat addition that adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
