A long review.... But please continue if you want and/or need dependable service.!! Recently, my 18-year-old daughter was traveling alone for the first time by train to Palm Springs. The westbound train that she was going to be on is supposed to arrive at 2:00am (at night) at a non-staffed Amtrak station. This station is located outside of the city, in the desert, and far from anything else at all. There is no inside area, or anything else remotely "secure" about it. Amtrak is notoriously late, so I searched for a cab/taxi service that I could call ahead and be sure that they would be there when the train arrived. Not an hour later, not even 20 minutes later. I wanted someone to be there when my daughter arrived. And I wanted to know in advance, as to who they would be. I found a few reviews for Mom's Rides that seemed very promising. My daughter called (so did I secretly) and spoke with "Mom". I let her know the situation, including that the train could be late - and asked her if she could be counted on to pick my daughter up regardless of the time. Mom assured me that she would keep in contact with my daughter to keep updated on the actual arrival time, and that she would be there BEFORE my daughter. My daughter would NOT have to wait at all. The train was very late. Not only did Mom keep in contact with my daughter - she also updated me in case my daughter happened to be in a dead zone and couldn't contact me. Mom texted me when she left to go to the station. She notified me once she was at the station, and again when she saw the train arrive. She actually met my daughter on the platform itself. She took my daughter to her hotel and waited until she was checked in. And notified me then as well. A week later, we needed the same service coming home. The train of course was late again. Mom, once again came shining through. The train was VERY VERY late. Mom kept in contact all night, picked my daughter up at her hotel and took her to the station. She waited until she boarded and the train left. Once again, texting me to let me know my daughter was homeward bound. We had checked Uber, Lyft and some local taxi companies before the trip. While some were less expensive, none could even remotely give us the guarantee and assurances that Mom did..!!! If you're looking for absolute dependability and punctual reliability - Mom's Ride is my suggestion for the Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage Area. My husband and I booked a ride from Uber two days before our trip to Europe which was confirmed with a driver named Bertha who was going to be taking us in a Yukon vehicle to the Los Angeles airport from Palm Desert, where we lived. The reason we booked and reserved a ride early was because we were going to be leaving at 2 AM in the morning to be able to catch our 8:15 AM flight to Washington (Dulles airport) then proceed to Rome,Italy. We knew how difficult it was to get a ride at that hour. Well, at the last minute, Bertha canceled and we could not get anyone to drive us to the airport via Uber. We tried calling cab companies like the Coachella Valley Cab Company but even though their services said they operated 24/7, no one answered the phone. We were in a panic since time was ticking away when I saw "Mom's Rides" under Google. Feeling hopeful but still nervous based on our past experiences, I called and thankfully, Mom answered, although I could tell she had just woken up. Mom was at our house at 3:45 AM and despite the early Monday traffic heading towards Los Angeles, we made it at 6 AMwhich gave us enough time to check in our luggage, go through TSA, use the toilets, and eat an early breakfast with coffee before our flight left. Mom was an EXCELLENT driver. She drove quickly but made sure we arrived safely. We were even able to have a bathroom break during the drive. She has a pleasant personality, loves dogs ( we enjoyed meeting Marley!), and acted like a true "Mom" to us. My husband is disabled but she would patiently wait for him to get out of the car and helped us with our luggage. In this modern world where sometimes, people only look out for themselves and care less about others, Mom is a reminder that despite the many changes in our world today, there is still some good in the world through the people who show their "light" for others. Two years ago, my mom and I were stuck at the Dessert Regional Medical Centre after an entire day in the ICU with my dad, things were not good. We are from Canada so unfamiliar with the area and far from our supports. Traumatized and exhausted by the days events we returned to our car to find out our battery was dead. It was close to 8:00 pm and I had 10% cell battery and my mom had zero from calling our relatives. I went into the hospital to ask for assistance with calling a tow truck and received zero help. I called 3 companies who were all too busy when they heard it was just a battery boost, the 4th said they were on their way, so we waited two hours in the parking lot while they kept sending texts confirming they would be their shortly, at the 3rd hour they ghosted us. We were staying in LaQuinta which isn't close. I used the last juice left in my phone to call mom's rides while in tears and feeling hopeless/exhausted. She was an absolute angel, I shared my situation and she promised me she would assist us ASAP, but she had to find some booster cables first. She told me she would ask her neighbour, or buy some from Walmart if she had to. She arrived shortly after and got our car running again so we could get home to rest and return to the hosptial early the next morning. She was very caring and gave us wise tips and advice about the Valley. She then offered to follow us back to LaQuinta for no extra fee just to ensure we got home safe with no further issues. At the time when the entire world felt dark, she brought us some light! She was kind, caring and reliable. folks like this are truly special, she is one of a kind and my mom and I will never forget her kindness and support that day. Mom's Rides saved me. I had called another taxi service and after an hour and a half of waiting, they still had not found me someone to pick me up and really did not care about it either. I called Mom's Rides and she was there in a flash. I was so appreciative to them for immediately caring about me and picking me up. The price was very reasonable and worth it. We conversation was great and I felt comfortable and safe. Based on what Mom's was telling me, they do a lot of great things for the community as well as working with the police dept and fire dept to help people. At one point I called to see if they would take me all the way to LAX and they said they would. I ended up getting a rental car but the fact is, they were willing and that is everything that good service is. If I could rate higher I would but can only give 5 stars. My Uncle is disabled and unable to drive. I live in another state. I asked Mom's if he could call them if he needed a ride to an appt and they said yes, anytime. I was getting him a ride one way by someone else and the other by Mom's after appt. Mom's said they would be happy to do both ways. We just returned home via a ride from Mom's Rides. This is the second trip we have used her service for airport transportation. Our first tme using her service was in September of 2023. Our return flight from Rome was a nightmare. We were stuck at DFW for hours. We were originally expected to arrive at PSP at 9:30 pm but due to extended delays we did not arrive until 2:30am the next morning. We kept "Mom" apprised of the situation and when we finally arrived at PSP she was there waiting for us! Due to our pleasure with that transport, we again connected with "Mom" this September and were again pleased with her dependability. We experienced no flight delays this time, but she picked us up to take us to and from the airport with absolutely no glitches. All rides were on time, communications prior to each pickup were reassuring that we weren't going to get forgotten, conversation was pleasant. Plenty of room for luggage. As far as fee, I can't compare with other services as my main focus in retaining a car service was dependabilty and after reading several reviews, I decided on Mom's Rides and was not disappointed read more

I absolutely love what I have been doing here in the Coachella Valley for 10 years. All services are for donations and the donations go to and helping others and provide the basic necessities for those involved. Several rides over the years have been provided for free to those in need. That includes those at the fests{Coachella,Dinah, StageCoach and any other fests that are here in the valley . I cant tell you how many boy/girl friends I have rescued when they were left to the boiling hot temperatures to find out not only am I about to provide a ride for them but it is included due to others donating, Every year I make it a point to stop when I see people on the side of the road and ask if they are ok or need anything: a bottle of water, to make a phone call or a ride (even if they do not have any money these rides are provided.) Since Coachella 2017 we have already helped 5 people this will continue through out the year until we reach the next fest.Mom's Rides is a safe ride in the valley. This car service was an unexpected and now treasured find in the desert. The company's owner really cares about her clients and makes sure she is (a) on time, (b) communicative, (c) priced fairly and (d) kind. This is not an anonymous black car company. You'll get to know your driver and they use comfortable minivans that are clean, non-smoking and the drivers are vaccinated, regularly tested for covid and they mask effectively and they expect their clients to mask too. The level of care surrounding health and safety in the covid era is really notable and just shows the heart in this company. The first time I used Mom's service I needed a ride to Palm Springs airport from the Yucca Mesa / Landers area. Pick up was at 3am for a 6am flight. The pick up location was down dirt roads, no street lights, and impressively Mom's service was right on time. Superhuman service. You could get slightly cheaper cabs, but you'll never get this level of thoughtful and reliable service elsewhere in the desert. A high recommend, read more

How dare anyone could give you a bad review??? Mom's taxi ! You didn't even force charging them rate by rate! This is voluntary job ! Could you imagine establishing a taxi company around Coachella and charge people high rate ! Maybe these people didn't realize how lucky they are to have a half price service to the airport! Thanks for the great ride, Mom! We took a long train journey from the Midwest that was scheduled to arrive at Palm Springs in the middle of the night. It was a challenge to find a car service that would accommodate the late night/early morning pick-up, until we found Mom's Rides. After that, it was smooth sailing (not train-ing). Jill (Mom) touched base several times prior to our trip to check that plans were still in place. She also pointed out the need to monitor train status (these West-bound trains are periodically late .... as we were to discover). Jill also kept in touch during the train journey, and we were able to update her on the train's progress. I was on my way back home from dropping off my bf at work when my car started over heating. I was driving less than 20 mph with my hazard lights on hoping that I would be able to make it home that way . I had noticed the car behind with their hazard lights on so I pulled over into a private community where they followed me into. The kind lady asked me if I was okay if there was anything she could do to help . i told her I needed antifreeze for the car but only had 3 dollars in my bank account she was willing to go to autozone and buy it for me which is the nicest thing anybody could do for you in that situation. I honestly don't know how I would've made it home safely without her help. I appreciate her kindness and how much she really cares . Good price requested, for a driver who has to serve a somewhat remote, desert area (ie Palm Springs). Since I needed to ensure getting to its airport early enough before my flight boarded, the on-time service and fare is worthwhile, given that the driver knew the direct route and got me there in just 5 minutes, if not less. As sociable people, our few minutes of conversation made the ride speed by a bit faster. Clean cab, plenty of room to put my tote in the back, and most importantly, I felt safe. She "went the extra mile" (figuratively) in my opinion, by standing outside the cab to keep safe-watch when I needed to needed to use a Wells Fargo ATM at that pre-dawn hour. Urgently needed last minute pick up in Palm Springs on Wednesday last week,4 :45 am and she confirmed immediately,and talk about service even offered me a wake up call, and was there for me early and helped me with luggage. Asked her to pick me up a week later, and she confirmed twice without even a reminder. After talking to other friends in Palm Springs I was really worried as their feed back regarding other services was not great, like they didn't show up and my friends had to rush to the airport and park in long term for two weeks and almost missed flight. Jill was my lifesaver in regards to trying to get a ride! I had a situation where I couldn't drive my rental car and needed to get back to Palm Springs airport an hour away. I was in a remote mountain town and getting a car service to come out there was extremely difficult. She was able to come all the way out there and get me to the airport exactly on time. Not only was Jill professional and courteous, she is so personable and warm! I had wonderful conversations with her during the long ride and hands down was one of the most enjoyable car rides I had, it was like riding with a good friend! I currently have 35 5 Star reviews in the non recommended section I invite you to read those reviews. Contact any one of them they are all real reviews. Yelp has many cross action suits against them for this same type of behavior . I asked them to remove me from yelp and they wont they have been doing this daily for over 2 months began right as holidays hit. a person came into the barber shop today and ask if i could call a taxi for him.  i couldn't really understood what he was saying but i could hear the word taxi. i went on yelp and pointed the word taxi to him and he said yes. Mom's taxi came up so i decided to give the service a shot. she said she would be there in 10 min and she arrived a little late. no biggie cuz the barber shop is hard to find. after the drop off the driver told me the person i called the taxi for had no money. i felt bad cuz that was not my intention. the driver went on about her business and did not ask for money. great service and even GREATER person. I flew into the airport and my brother-in-law forgot to come pick me up. I didn't know what do to. I went on the internet and started looking for some type of ride. I stumbled across Jill and her reviews seemed too good to be true, but I decided to take a chance, and thank goodness I did! She was AMAZING!! It was like riding home with an old friend.
