Beautiful banquet hall where I've had the pleasure of knowing two beautiful brides celebrating their love. My most recent visit was definitely one to remember. Loved the ambiance the banquet hall provided. The hanging flowers off the ceiling, the lights and vibes, and great dance floor was spectacular. The venue staff were great and made sure to pace everything for our ten-course meal, and I was happy to see some dedicated vegan options provided for me too. I ended up having quite a bit of food and was very pleased to not go hungry at my friend's wedding. Only thing I wish would've been better were the acoustics. My friend's wedding was nearly 300 guests so it was very hard to hear what was happening if you weren't sitting right near the center stage. All in all, really happy with the venue providing a great celebration for my dear friends on their biggest nights. read more

Unassuming exterior but beautiful decor on the inside - especially the flowers hanging over the dance floor. Came here for a wedding reception and the staff was nice and the food was good. Lot's of spots for cute pictures. The lazy susans in the center of the tables are a bit small for all the courses and chairs, but potentially it was just a large number of people for the reception. Personally, the music was a little loud for my taste, but the live singing was a nice touch. There's a parking lot right outside and lots of parking spaces. read more

Reasonably priced and Co Thuy is amazing! She's super organized and helpful. We love the food here from previous weddings we attended here. So we decided to celebrate our wedding here. It was elegant and beautiful. But I'm sad we didn't get to eat much for our wedding day. Only thing is that they only do large events (like 200+ people). We attended a wedding ceremony and reception earlier this year at this location. Pros - plenty of parking as it shares space with the DMV. They had two bathrooms. There's a subway and McDonald's nearby . . . Trust me, this is a pro. Cons - very disorganized event with the coordinator asking the wedding party to redo their entrances - twice. They tell everyone to leave the reception space and go to the small hallway for cocktail hour which last more than hour and there's NO SEATING. There was only 2 bartenders for a 250 plus reception. We ended up just sitting in our car for a half hour as those were the only seats available. Now why is it good that subway and McDonald's are nearby? Because they will serve food well behind schedule and take way too long to bring each dish out. Two tables near us just went to McDonald's they were so hungry and had kids with them. Couples, if you want your guests to have a good time, I would really look elsewhere. read more

Our wedding reception was a dream come true at Mon Amour! It was everything that we had envisioned and so much more. Chi Thuy and Anh Hung were so wonderful to work with, and they made the planning process so easy. They allowed us to visit the venue several times to get a feel for different decorations, and also provided us with a list of recommended vendors. They were transparent with us throughout the planning, and were quick to respond when we had questions or when needing to implement last minute changes. They provided templates for bar menus and table arrangements, which was so helpful! On the day of the wedding, we arrived about half an hour prior to cocktail hour (our day-of coordinator was also already present earlier in the day to facilitate the set-up), and everything was already perfect and what we envisioned! We had such a busy schedule that day, but the Mon Amour team made sure that everything was already set-up upon our arrival so that we did not have to worry about much else. Our family and friends had so much fun, and had nothing but positive things to say about the food, bar, and service provided at Mon Amour. We did not have a chance to eat our food throughout the night, but the Mon Amour team made sure to pack up our food for us to take home at the end of the night. We are so grateful to have chosen Mon Amour as the place to celebrate as newlyweds with our loved ones. We genuinely had such a fun night, and it was incredibly memorable! I HIGHLY recommend booking your wedding or event at Mon Amour. We had our wedding on September 15 2024 and it was the best day of our lives. The owners are such honest, genuine, and helpful people. They will do whatever they can to help bring your wedding vision to life. Even on the wedding day, they were there to oversee everything and made sure me and my husband were taken care of/fed. Communicating with them was easy and put my worries at ease. The price is very fair and the venue is a blank canvas which, when decorated properly, can look spectacular! It was so amazing to see how happy my friends and family were. We received so many compliments on the quality of the food as well! Review for our wedding 8/14/21 Many thanks to Thuy and staff for hosting such an important event of our lives. From the beginning Thuy made the process so easy. We visited the venue a few times and each time we saw different ways of how we'd want the uplighting, draping, and centerpieces to look like. She gladly showed us photos and gave us a timeline of when things needed to be done. It's just amazing how so many things were included. Ex. We didn't have to pay for the cake cutting and champagne. I also felt like she was coordinator as well since there were so many last minute changes or having to text her at night. It had the right elements for our guests, which was a mix of American and Vietnamese friends/family: - 9 course dinner menu (Seafood Cold Platter Scallop, Crab, and Abalone Soup, French Beef Tenderloin, Scallops in Butter Sauce, Abalone, Sea Cucumber, & Mushroom, Lobster in House Special Sauce, Royal Fried Rice, Steamed Fish with House Special Sauce, and Taro with White Nuts - Vegetarian or special dietary options (addt'l $25 per person) - Cocktail area with complimentary hors d'oeuvres - Ability to leave a bottle of cognac on each table - Raised Platform for Sweetheart Table - DJ platform with all the audio equipment included - Elegant center floor for our first dance - Customizable table cloth colors and lighted drapes options - Two security guards and Two bartenders - Huge parking lot - Ending event at 11pm My wife and I collaborated with co Thuy throughout the entire process. She was very attentive and quick to communicate via text for any requests. I would advise that you write down everything that you discuss so you have it for reference during contract signing. Remember that anything that isn't written on the contract "never happened". There were some things I had to remind her that we discussed, which she acknowledged them and granted our request. Mon Amour gets a lot of requests so sometimes we'd work with her husband also since co Thuy is giving tours to prospective couples. Also note that the final price includes an 8% tax, 15% gratuity service, and the holding deposit so make sure you calculate the final amount. That way, you won't be caught by surprise if it's different than expected. I would recommend booking this venue at least 8 months in advance, especially if it's going to be a Summer wedding. We booked ours a year in advance and was able to switch the date due to unforeseen circumstances, which co Thuy had no problem doing since it was available. read more

Bad news for the people who are going to attend the New Year Party on Dec/31/23 at Mon Amour restaurant. Thủy, who is the manager, said they won't allow guests to bring in any preferred alcohol of your choice, even if you are willing to pay for the corkage fee. You have the option to purchase alcohol at the bar. Most restaurants around Bolsa area allow customers to bring their preferred alcohol without charging the corkage fee. This is my last time attending an event at Mon Amour. read more

I have only been here twice, both for weddings, and I have to say this is one of the better, nicer, cleaner, better food quality, typical Chinese/Vietnamese wedding banquet place! Staff are friendly and fast and efficient, also very polite! Not sure if it is part of their usual package but both times, there has always been an open bar, and they don't close early! The banquet is nicely and cleanly decorated, so it goes well with any flower theme. Food was really good, you can judge the place by some of their most expensive course of the multiple wedding courses, the lobster noodle. It was hefty and tasty! Their walnut shrimps were very good too. And their portion is huge for a table of 10! By the time we get to the 5th or 6th course, we were all so stuffed! Thuy and her husband are professional and are very accommodating; we were able to change our wedding date twice due to the pandemic. They really listen to what we envisioned and made it happen. If you want more bang for your buck, come here. We inquired at 3 similar places and Mon Amour provided the best price for what we wanted. We got so many compliments that our wedding was the most fun they ever had at a wedding. What's nice is that they have a lot of decoration that's already included in the venue such as the Better Together frame and green backdrops behind the 2 stages. We were also allowed to BYOA for an open bar and we only paid for the bartenders' services. Another plus is that you don't have to give them a final guest count until 3 days before the wedding which is a plus especially during this time. The guests were raving about the 9 course banquet. Such racist place!!! Went for a quote and was told that they were pretty sure they didn't have anything within my budget or date available. WITHOUT knowing my wedding date or my budget. Such a horrible experience... I had never experienced racism before this. Kept repeating "for you..." statements... Total shock and such an emotional trauma. My wedding was on December 7th, which was about 3 weeks ago, and I'm still getting compliments from friends and family who rave about what a beautiful venue it was and how delicious the food was. I got several "this is the best wedding I've ever been to.." and "every single food item was good, which is unusual for a wedding with 9 courses." My brother got married here 7 years ago, and since then, they've had multiple renovations. It is absolutely gorgeous once you add the drapery, uplighting, and possibly colored table cloths. The dance floor, chandeliers, sweet heart table, backdrops and entrance are so beautiful that you don't even have to add much for decorations. My favorite part was that chi Thuy and her husband (the owners) were soooo great to work with. We booked the venue over a year in advance, and since then, they've always been a pleasure to deal with (and so much fun to joke around with). Even leading up to the few days before the wedding, chi Thuy gave us so many tips such as how to save money, budget what we can, how much alcohol to buy, what colors would look good with what, etc. And then on the day of, they open doors at 11am so vendors could start coming and we could start setting up. She even helps with placing party favors and coordinating on the day of. It was such a blessing that my husband and I chose this place to host our wedding. We had about 22 tables, but it can accommodate up to 40 (might get a little tight though). Even with the 22 tables, it felt like it was just the right amount of space. My cousin also booked this venue for her wedding next year, and I can't wait to go back and be a guest this time so I can enjoy the food! Came here for a wedding reception and had a great time. Food was all delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. Extra props to the bartender who saw me & when I ordered a whiskey poured me a double (or closer to a triple) & said 'I haven't seen you here yet so it looks like you have some catching up to do.' Much appreciated. I sipped that all night and cut down on a lot of standing in line for refills! Now I do have a few minor complaints. First, I wish they had a designated smoking section outside. Instead, everyone just hovers right outside so when you leave the venue you get hit with a giant cloud of cigarette smoke. Definitely not ideal. Secondly, I know it's a big venue, but I wish they could time them bringing out the different courses better. We were in one of the back tables and we saw some table that were a course ahead of us. At times it felt like they had just flat out forgotten about our table & then last minute brought out our course. But those are minor complaints. And it was a free meal for me so I won't really knock them. Just wanted to point those out. Overall this was an absolutely beautiful venue and night. My wife & I had our reception at Mon Cheri which is the smaller version of Mon Amour so we know the people who run this venue are the best. read more

Ambience || We wanted a venue that served the traditional 9 course Chinese dinner without looking like a Chinese restaurant. We checked out several places, but they were lacking one way or another. This spot is a gem if this is what you're looking for. Easily customizable, but still simple and romantic on its own (check out all the pictures!). A little uplighting does wonders. It fits over 300 people which is ideal for most Asian weddings. We fit 365 in and were able to get a cocktail/lounge area set up in the remaining space. Food || SO GOOD. Everyone loved it and couldn't stop complimenting on the food! We were a little bummed that we couldn't eat much of it as the bride and groom, but Thuy was wonderful because she boxed everything up for us to take to our hotel room after the reception. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the night savoring the food. Not what you'd imagine for newlyweds to be doing, but it was well worth it! I had my wedding here several months ago. Chi Thuy was very helpful, attentive, and sweet. Any questions I had, I would call her, and she'd answer her phone every time. This venue is very spacious compared to other Chinese restaurants. What caught my eyes when I first came here were the crystal chandelier ceiling of the dance floor and all the other chandeliers; it's beautiful! I enjoyed my wedding reception very much. First off all, I would like to give a big thank to chi Thuy, the venue owner, who was the main point of contact and helped us throughout the journey. She was very sweet, accommodating, professional and extremely helpful. The venue is beautiful and large enough to hold 450+ guests which was perfect for our 360 guests for our wedding. There was so much room to walk around and dance freely. The place is very nice so there is no need for so much extra decorations and they are continuously making improvements. Did another wedding here for my sister's best-friend, once again Chi Thuy and her husband were awesome to work with, very accommodating and they always greet us with huge smiles and positive attitude! Whatever we asked they both would say "of course!" The staff was also willing to help us with table numbers and setting out the party favors on each of the seats. They never once rushed and try to kick us out like most other places and they even make sure that we get all of our items. The entire team at Mon Amour has truly been wonderful to work with. My uncle recently had his wedding here. Since I've only attended about four weddings in my life (and all but one were at a Chinese restaurant), I braced myself for the typical Chinese restaurant decor (i.e. circa Ming Dynasty-esque). However, I was pleasantly surprised by the actual decor of this place. The furniture and table settings were modern-looking and there was a lovely purple color scheme. The food was pretty standard Chinese restaurant fare, though. The first main dish was this seafood platter with various sliced up sea creatures (i.e. jellyfish, octopus, squid, clams???, etc.). I sat at the kids' table (I was the oldest "kid") and enjoyed watching the children curiously smell and nibble their food. Then came: seafood soup, Peking duck with buns, honey walnut shrimp, mushroom + abalone + baby bok choy, fried rice (which was bland and a bit mushy), steamed ginger fish, lobster, and taro + jelly dessert. (I might have forgotten one or two dishes.) I think we had to provide our own beverages, though (my cousin told us about how she and her parents raided Walmart and purchased all the Perrier and San Pellegrino). I really wish there was non-sparkling water. The area around this place was a bit sketchy (with the exception of Work Out World right next door), but what can you do. read more
