Celebrated Sabaidee Fest New Year's Eve Gala 2023 . We were 20 minutes early and decided to sit in the car in the parking lot , noticed the lot is not that big . I am assuming there is street parking available to accommodate big crowds ?. Restaurant had a nice ambiance feel . set up , table displays / floral arrangements, And lighting were beautifully done . Dance floor / stage were just right for the amount of people attending and dancing . Not sure if the food was made in house or catered from elsewhere - so I won't give my two cents here. I did purchase a bottle of Perrier carbonated drink at the bar it was outrageously price ( $10 I think ) Our waiter were not great , they didn't bother removing the individual dirty soup bowls , it was left on the table until I asked if she can first take it away before trying to squeeze in another plate of food . Crystal Banquet is a seafood restaurant that serves family style Chinese seafood cuisine that is great for dinner or upscale traditional parties. The venue itself was very spacious ... we had a large gathering of people and the food was delicious. We were served a 10-course meal but my favorite by far was the fried fish fillets and lobster fried noodle. The fried fish fillets were sauced but they were still amazingly crispy and unlike anything i've ever eaten and the lobster fried noodles had a lot of flavor. I've heard that it could also be expanded to also accommodate for an even larger group. I definitely recommend this place if you are planning on having a big wedding! The food was so delicious! Went here for the Sabaidee Fest NYE Gala because my friend, Mimi told me about it last minute, literally the day before!!!! Everyone was in their formal attire and ready to party. I didn't know anyone but Mimi and literally everyone that I met was so nice, except for one of the singers who I won't name but I complimented on her hair and I said it twice cuz she didn't say anything to me the first time so I thought I would repeat myself, and she still ignored me. But the venue was awesome, a lot of beautiful decor as soon as you walk in, so many photo opportunities and very spacious for sure. The first half was just more for photos and the bar was there and the second half had really nice tables and the setup was beautiful!!!! I can see why this place is for celebrations and special occasions. They had a really nice stage for the band and the performers to do what they do. It was a good time and so much food, almost too much. I actually wish I could've taken some home but I was actually still gonna go to the other party I had already planned to go to weeks ago. I was planning a formal event for my organization which would have 40 people in total (who would be attending the dinner). Despite the one star reviews, I decided to focus on the really good reviews that were on here and give this place a try. On my end, due to many circumstances, I had to change the date to my event and the owners were helpful in that, which I appreciate. My first mistake was paying a deposit before obtaining an itemized list of everything I was paying for. When I did ask for one, the owner did not know what I was asking about so I showed him an example from a previous venue I had used and he told me he would send one to me via email. Although, when I did receive his email, he just gave me a quote, which is not what I was expecting because we had already agreed on the price I would be paying. The pricing of food was $275 per table of 10 which was $1,110 out of the $4,500 I was being charged. I wanted to know what the other charges for. I was okay with the price I just want to know what exactly I was paying for (i.e. cleaning fee, service fee, etc). Once again, the blame cannot fully go on them since I did not ask ahead of time. The next encounter that was confusing was when he asked for a second down payment when the contract agreement was that I would pay the first $1,000 to save the date and the rest of the payments at least 2 weeks prior to the event. The venue itself is very nice and spacious. The day of the event everything was set up and ready to go. The owners were helpful in what I needed during the event. It was very hot inside the venue though. I did ask them if they could turn on the AC and they did, but my guests said they were still very hot. As for the food, I heard some mixed reviews on it from my guests, some said it was okay and others said it was really good. Unfortunately, I was not able to taste much of it because I was running the event. Overall, it was a mix of good and bad. The owner was helpful in times but I feel like communicating with him was difficult as well. I do think the event was successful and everyone had a good time. I hope that if I do plan another event here, the planning process would be smoother than my first time here. It is a nice venue to use so I would say if anyone wants to check it out, definitely go for it! Just be sure to not be afraid to ask questions about what you need! read more

Chris The owner/manager actually charged me to wash forks and knives for extra guest that came in did not allow my rental company to pick up their Schaeffers/warmers that I rented he also use them for other peoples events !!!and did not allow my rental company to pick them up and argued with me and the rental company. He's cheap and he's extremely dirty all of the cups had lipstick on it!! He wanted to steal the Party Reynolds warmers for his own Buffay for future events.
