My wife and I recently had our wedding reception and she loved the food and atmosphere so much from when she attended another friend's wedding here that she knows she wants to have our reception here. Our guests have had nothing but praise for the quality and taste of the food. Thu has been instrumental in helping us stay on track and stayed on top of our itinerary to keep things going smoothly. She was easy to talk to and receptive to our questions and concerns and made sure we get what needed. I have been to this venue before for a work holiday party and recently booked for my mom's 70th bday party. We went with the 9 course meal and the food was good. The place is beautifully decorated. We had pretty good service except when the servers decided to clean up even before 9:30 pm. They did not communicate if they can start cleaning up. We had the place until 11 pm (confirmed with the female host that night) and the guests felt rushed and felt like they were getting kicked out. I did give feedback via text (this is how I was communicating with the restaurant about any questions I had before the event) but there was no response. So I guess if you book an event here just be clear with them to clean up towards the end of the event. I posted about this place on my socials and many people were asking about the venue. Many times, coming here for family gatherings, we eat the 7 course meal with traditional dessert at the end. The smaller venue side has just one restroom but the larger venue has multiple restrooms with stalls. My first time at this location for an event and there was lots of parking. The wedding venue was bright, clean and well staffed. They were very professional and attentive while delivering food and clearing plates. This review is solely based on lack of communication. I reached out via e-mail to inquire about reserving their private room for my daughters 1st birthday. I should have known from the first email I sent that they didn't respond to that communication would be an issue. I sent a follow up email and they finally responded but the several emails sent after that required me to constantly follow up multiple times. When i finally managed to go in on a Friday to pay the $500 deposit, no contract was given to sign, no one said it would be nonrefundable, nothing. I reached out later on to ask if I can cancel/receive a refund/or even dine in credit and was told no that the nonrefundable deposit was part of the contract. There was no contract or agreement. They just charged my card and called it a day. I wanted to cancel because I realized I made a mistake choosing this place to host my daughter's birthday. How are people suppose to plan their event when no one responds to all questions that are asked in a timely manner? Also I was told their Westminster location is open weekdays regular hours but tell me why when I show up on a Monday afternoon it is closed? When I asked the worker what days and hours they are open he said he doesn't know. What kind of dumb response is that? Ridiculous! So be warned of you decide to book this place for your event, you'll be constantly reaching out because they never respond! read more

My boyfriend and I thought that the food was better than the typical wedding menu options: steak, chicken, and seafood entrees. Our menu that day consisted of: special seafood cold platter; abalone, fish maw, chicken, and crab soup; special shrimp paste in two styles; dice beef fillet mignon; house special lobster with E-fu noodles; Peking duck with steamed buns; fried crispy rex sole with spicy Thai flavor; Yang Chow fried rice; and sweet taro pudding. We had our wedding at Diamond Seafood Palace #1 this past week and the Diamond Seafood Palace team was great in assisting us and our family have special moments during the reception. Our family puts a lot of emphasis on the food during the wedding reception and from the food tasting to the day of Diamond Seafood Palace took our feedback and menu requests and we had dish choices that was a fan favorite such as the house special lobster w/ e-fu noodles and shaken filet mignon. My father-in-law also loved the steamed fish that they had. I was also glad that Diamond Seafood Palace was also able to accommodate a last-minute seating increase of 150 seats! I was stressed about that but they assured me that it was possible. I am glad we chose this venue and I can't wait to come back one day as a guest. read more

The first time I came here, it was my cousins wedding and the food was not tasty at all. It was super salty and the dishes they picked were not great. So when my friend said he was having his reception at Diamond, eyes starting rolling cause I imagined the food being so blah. To my complete surprise, the dishes he picked were so good. What a beautiful venue! I am not Vietnamese but my wife is and she wanted to have a Vietnamese style reception so we ended up booking Diamond Seafood Palace. I had certain concerns about how everything would go because this was a different style than I was used to. However, the second we arrived at this venue on our wedding day, I was beyond impressed. This venue went above and beyond what we could've expected. The smoke machines, the champagne tower, the lighting, and the projections on the floor were all so beautiful! I was even more impressed when dinner began and the servers walked out in such a presentation it was like watch a choreographed dance! All of our guests could not stop talking about how good the food was and how much food there was. Even my friends who eat like growing boys had leftovers! Below was our experience with the venue on 10/16/2022. The initial quote and planning went ok without issues. We had our trial meal course at diamond seafood palace 3 and it was great. On 10/16/2022, the service we received for our wedding was horrible. We paid for full bar services and there was only one bartender, guest has to wait long time in line. In addition, the bar ran out of wine and many of our relatives could not get any drinks. Multiple relatives reported that soups was very bland and the lobsters were very small. Next day when I called and complained to Tony, he didn't offer any compensation or reimbursement, just simply hang up on me. Be careful when you decide to book your reception with this venue. Service: I just had my birthday/retirement party here last Sunday, April 28, 2024. Tim was very helpful with setting up my payments and party details. Laura was really nice about confirming the total number of guest even with guests canceling just a few days before the event. This is a great location, plenty of parking to start with. Ambience: The decoration is just beautiful though I wanted something informal so this is great for both formal and informal occasions. They can hold up to 200 guests, possibly more. There are two big roll down screens for photo or video montage, a stage for performers and a roomy dance floor to accommodate lots of people. Food: I really enjoyed the 7 course meal though I got really busy entertaining the guests. The guests praised the food and service of the waitstaff. We just had our wedding at THIS location (there's 3 different locations). Everything from the consultation, booking process, food tasting, planning stages, to the actual wedding day was amazing and a great experience. We are NOT Vietnamese, but the communication and planning process was still smooth and a breeze. Tony and Phong were very helpful in everything. I have no complaints about this venue. The decor, drapery, up lighting, and center pieces were all included in the price. We also had an open bar, which everyone loved. They had space for a photobooth, and provided a table set for candy bar. We brought in our own vases and candy, but the decor was provided. See pictures attached (I noticed some pictures posted are NOT from location ONE). Overall, I'm glad we picked this venue for our wedding reception. My aunt had a graduation party for her daughter here and I didn't really care for it. she got the 7 course meal..or 9..I don't remember but all I remember is that the food wasn't great. I've had better at other places. It was mostly flavorless. I'm not sure if it is because they are making it for 15 tables, but it should all be the same. The taro dessert was good. Other than that and the peking duck, was tasteless. Service was so so. they mostly came to drop off food, but didn't come back to pick up plates unless you called them to. Overall my husband and I had a great time on our wedding day. Everything went smoothly and our coordinator Tony did a great job handling the lights and fog on the dance floor. We picked this venue because it made wedding planning so much easier with their beautiful decorations and services. The guests said the good was really good, too. We came here for a wedding. The venue was beautiful. It was not hard to find parking. Food : some dishes were decent. Fried rice was a bit wet and needed more flavor. The service: need to have major improvement! Some waiters don't even smile. A guy dropped and dumped a whole bowl of hot soup on my husband's suit and chair and didn't even apologize. This place really dresses up nice for banquets. I've never been to this place before so I don't know if it ever was a restaurant in the past. From outside it looks like a generic restaurant for Seafoodies but inside it caters for even more. I came here for my best friends wedding reception and I was kinda impressed inside. I'm not sure how it is for every wedding. Like if the decorations and organization are the same for every event. I'm pretty sure they have options. I did feel a little cramped at my table and there wasn't a lot of leg space. I was thankful to be assigned at a table with unassigned seating. And the food!!! Came here for a wedding dinner and the restaurant can be a bit tricky to find. It's located in the Sam's plaza all the way in the back though. On the same strip as Subway & Alerto's. Restaurant was pretty big and restrooms were really clean. Service was great for an Asian restaurant, but the food definitely lacked flavor. Shrimp & fruit salad - Interesting combo, I enjoyed it, but they really should put the sauce on the side for this. The salad was drenched in mayo which was gross on the fruit. The fruit was ripe & sweet so no complaints on that, but our table didn't finish it 'cause there was just way too much mayo on the whole dish Abalone, Fish Maw with Crab Meat Soup - Surprisingly it was good especially w/ the white/black pepper. I have never had a house special lobster this flavorless before. Everyone that night at every table agreed this dish needed work. It needed more garlic & onions for sure or even butter. This was sad cause everyone loves lobster Fried rice w/ scallops - scallops were tiny and a bit dry, but the fried rice wasn't bad. Sea bass - Served hot and was a good amount of fish, but it was definitely over cooked. CONGRATULATIONS TO MY UNCLE KEV AND HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE!! I originally had low expectations of this venue because I've heard a lot of negative comments. I'm fairly certain I've been to this venue before (I've been to countless weddings ever since I was a baby!!), but it all seemed new to me this past weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it! First off, it is the building with no name on it. You'll see Diamond once you drive into the parking lot (it's located right by Subway). It's a little tricky, and I found myself driving past it several times. There is ample parking right in front, but the security guard will ask you to move your vehicle if you are a guest at the wedding (to not take up parking spots from the other businesses next door). We had well over 400 people in this building, tightly packed into the scarce space.. but we all made it work! Of course there's a dance floor and a stage for the singer/ DJ too! When you walk past the dance floor, there's a spacious room where my uncle had all the bottomless wine/ beer and photo booth! The staff here is incredible. I'm sure they had to take a few classes on trying to contain their temper for rowdy party goers like us haha. The food the servers brought out was pretty much what you'd expect at a Chinese/ Vietnamese wedding. It wasn't anything too spectacular. My sister and brother had their wedding reception here approximately a month ago. I'd have to say, this place exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, decor was beautiful, and service was decent. I believe they recently switched to a new manager, and he organized and handled all the tasks so well! The restroom is pristine, modern, and has enough stalls to accommodate crowds. There is also a spacious changing room for the bride near the restroom, too. The centerpiece came along with the wedding package; the manager even gave a special deal to add more effects at the wedding, such as confetti, lights, etc. Guests were given nicely displayed appetizers and water before they were seated at their tables. The open bar also offered many alcoholic drink options, entertained the guests, and had an efficient bartender! Every entree that came out tasted delicious. I had my wedding here and I wish I have the photos to show you what their deluxe package looks like, first off, it's only $500 for them include decorations for my wedding and i was very pleased with how beautiful it came out, they made sure to use new napkins and the cake that they included Tommy package was so beautiful I was speechless, for something that pretty to be free ... it made me felt really smart. Their staff were so attentive that no one were disappointed or left the wedding complaint about the food or service. Kevin ( the owner ) and his team were very respectful and gave us a full break down of our bill, i felt like it was transparent and different from all the other places that I've talked to before coming to diamond seafood. You can switch out the dishes if you don't like any of the dishes on the wedding menu that you selected. We made a kid table and Kevin also hand crafted a menu that is appropriate for the kids, peanuts allergy were addressed and he made sure no peanuts were served at our wedding. Our Rosé wine were chilled overnight and served perfectly as requested. I'm really glad I had my wedding here. I ate here for a casual banquet style dinner. They start with seafood soup and end with a soupy hot tapioca desert. There was a wedding going on when we went so we ate in a little curtained off area. The table settings were very fancy considering that we weren't attending the wedding. I got the Peking duck (always try the Peking duck). That was pretty good! You get more meat on the duck pieces here because they don't do the second half where they chop up the meat and serve it in lettuce or something. They did however serve us a dish of very boney duck carcass which we chose not to eat but did ask them to pack up so we could make soup at home later. We also ordered the crispy fish. It was very good. I wanted the sweet and sour chicken but, while it was on the menu, they said it wasn't available. We got the orange chicken instead. It wasn't anything special. My now wife was concern on what restaurant to pick because cost and great food was our number one things to balance especially when these two are extreme opposite. Our viet parents weigh heavily on great food and they were super proud of us. I love the xo fried rice!!! I had to tailor my menu so I can have it. I choose the colors which Anh Phong allowed me to do. My wife's favorite color is purple and I picked blue to complement it. It made the whole place like a dream land. I loved IT!! All we had to worry about was the chapel wedding and man.... I wish I hired Anh Phong to design it us for too.... Seriously....I suck... There is a food tasting too.... and they cook a WHOLE table of food for us two... I had food for a week... gotta love him! This is an excellent venue to have a Chinese wedding banquet ceremony. The decor was excellent - they tried to decorate it in a more contemporary way. Table, chairs, and centerpieces were done tastefully. The confetti canons were a nice touch (albeit scary if you don't expect it) and the karaoke was working so the kids were having fun. The food I heard was excellent since I didn't have the chance to try any of it. The service was good and attentive. You always go home pretty full at the end of the night & sometimes with to go. They have one room that fitted up to 33 tables or a small room for 9 tables max with no dance floor space. Very very very tight though. From what I remember, they also provide decorations, champagne, soda, centerpieces & cake for wedding packages. What a steal!!! We had 8 courses meal that night and all the food taste pretty good. The first time, I actually enjoyed the appetizer dish! And their fried fish taste much better than steamed fish that people normally have. The one dish I always look forward to is peking duck but itvwas a lil disappointing due to the meat was not soft and semi flavorful. They did a good job with the decor.
