I went on the butterfly monarch walk, then afterwards I went and ate. The place is clean love the water with the ice .. the food was good.. I didn't even know that this place existed. They have a full bar in there where you can watch the game .. I just thought it was a golf course i would go back to eat and maybe have a drink

It's been more than 2 years since I've been back here. The golf course had some changes, not too many thick bushes to lose balls, the fairways are nice but the tee boxes are spotty. The Sand Bunkers have no sands at all. The views are still beautiful. It was a Friday morning, I walked in and had a Tee Time available, lucky me. Senior rate is $36 walking, but I forgot the golf course is so long, especially the walk from the 17th back to the 18th is a long one since the bridge in the middle no longer or ever finished building. Next time I would rent a cart. 6.5 miles walking in the 86F heat really drained me although the sea breezes were cooler. The green is quite slow because the grass is thicker than most golf course. The golf course is still under renovation, quite a few holes are under construction. The fairways are nice, although some are still being fixed with new grass. Regardless, it's still a very nice golf course for the price. The pace was quite slow, but not bad for a Friday, it's almost 5 hr, Tee Off at 9:36 and out at 2:20PM. I would come back again when I have a day off, not sure how slow it would be on the weekends.

Castro Valley hosts this mini golf spot that's an affiliate of the Golfland family and features its two 18-hole ranges perfect for beginners and experts alike. After a few rounds on the green, consider venturing into their arcades to play some good old fashioned video games (Time Crisis and other dual player shooters, Mario Kart and other racing games, and fighting games) and skill games (like skee ball, table air hockey, and claw machines). Be wary, however, for those who have game cards from other Golflands, they're location specific so they won't work here unless you have one from this spot. Starting from the giant parking lot which is just off of a busy street, you'll make your way through the gates and stroll up the long walkway to the front desk where you'll register to get your clubs and balls (you'll get your choice from among a few colors). From there, you'll have your pick of the two courses, one for novices and one for the more adventurous. Make your way through the obstacles and mark your scorecard to determine the winner of bragging rights! We came for a birthday party and logistically, they have the main room amongst the beginner course which is well lit from all the open windows but I believe they have another space near the arcade for those looking for a more enclosed, private gathering. Once the guests arrived, they hosted an orientation and got the members all equipped and ready to go. The youngsters had a lot of fun and can't wait to return! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. You'll interact with them more at the arcades especially if you'll be redeeming prizes with your hard-earned digital tickets. The ticket values on the top tier prizes were pretty large but for frequent visitors or lucky winners, you can get some pretty neat stuff here. The mini prizes definitely reminded me of my times at the arcades when I was a kid, very nostalgic! Overall, Golden Tee Golfland is a well-maintained, family friendly environment conducive to an awesome time outdoors as well as an exhilarating experience soaking up the old school arcade vibe. We accumulated a ton of steps during our visit here and the kids could not stop hitting the greens to get their fluorescently colored balls into the holes. The obstacles are fun - there are water effects and moving doors and bridges. While most of them functioned as expected, there were a few hiccups with some like balls getting stuck or certain doors just not functioning as expected. For wetter seasons, the holes for the balls do end up pooling which makes picking the balls out a bit of an unpleasant endeavor. For being exposed to the outdoors, the place was in pretty good shape, however. It's a bummer that the Golflands don't have a unified system for the game cards as it just incentivizes families to just pick one and stick with it instead of venturing out and exploring the other amazing locations like this one. If you're a local, this is a great place to take a date or the family - it'll tee you up for a good time!

The road to the golf course is beautiful with trees on both sides. I always walk with my golf cart, but booking online it only had the option with cart. I was glad that they forced us to pay for the golf cart, BTW, when you book online the night before, you have to pay for the tee time non refundable with a credit card. If you want to walk which is a little difficult and slow due to many hilly fairways, you must call the pro shop to book. I didn't see anyone walking on last Friday. There are 2 courses on this establishment, there's one 9 holes and one 18 holes. The check-in pro shop is across from the cart return area, hard to see, a small house, may be it's still in renovation? The driving range is right next to it. BTW, it's a little difficult to find a parking spot close to the pro shop, the best is to park, then check in to get a cart and go to the car to get the clubs. Anyhow, the first hole is right there at the golf carts. I could see the hill already. It's beautiful. The fairways are very well kept, plenty of grass but many bushes on the sides, easy to lose balls if they went in there. Many fairways are quite narrow, and a few that have flags up in the hills to guide people for teeing off due to blind fairways. The greens were just aerated a few weeks, still very thick and spotty but puttable. Many greens are quite small although some are big. I like number 9 par 3 on the top hitting to the bottom of the hill, beautiful but quite challenging. The 18 hole is amazing, par 6 and so vast, long, hilly, and beautiful. Love this hole. Most of the holes have wonderful views of the valleys, canyons, I love the scenery. Ah, at the end of the 11th hole, the BBQ grills smelled so good that I had to order the Cheese Burger and believe it or not it's the best $13 cheese burger anywhere at any price. The young lady did it so well, so perfect and I even had a bag of chips to go with it. She deserved a great tip. The prices on weekdays are quite reasonable, for Senior like me, only $43 including cart which is inexpensive. Yes, I'll come back here again and shoot a better score than the first one due to not being familiar with the golf course.

Despite that, I can have fun playing, especially when I have plenty of spare balls and the course is a par 3. I think I probably found as many balls as I lost, so that was an added bonus. You can usually see some wildlife on the course. There is a nice little putting green to get warmed up before you play or to try and relive some of the missed puts from the round you just finished. It is inexpensive, public and usually not overly crowded.

It is a beautiful contoured layout with midsize, fairways and true rolling greens. The spacious grounds had a delightful green and fecund aire . A welcome feel for a January afternoon during Rev Dr Martin Luther King weekend! Superb drainage is just one of the great features of the course ...with all the December and early January precipitation and foul weather our playing partners indicated that they seldom missed their regular appointed rounds. We were fortunate to be paired with two very splendid amateur women players - one from Stanford and another a consultant with Apple Management... So you never know who you're going to meet at Corica. My friend - a local denizen - was just beginning to explore the challenges of the game. ... it was a difficult course to learn and implement swing changes on. Though the driving range provides elite swing technology, it lacks key indicators such as spin and ball speed, that are helpful in teaching a new player, but it's still a feature that most driving ranges around the country lack. The par threes were particularly bland and I found the 17th almost unplayable. I also thought the weekend greens fee was exorbitant close to $151 +2 cart fees, plus a 75 nonrefundable non-applicable reservation fee, which is total nonsense. The pro shop is as unimaginable as any I've ever visited thank God for the restaurant and the wonderful people that run that place

A Bay Area golf gem!…read more Corica Park Golf Complex has quickly become one of my favorite places to play in the East Bay. From the moment you pull in, you can tell this isn't your average municipal course -- it feels modern, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly well-maintained. The South Course is the standout: wide fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and greens that roll true without being unfair. It's challenging enough to keep low-handicappers engaged but still welcoming for casual players. Pace of play has been consistently good, which I really appreciate. The practice facilities are top-notch. The driving range is spacious, the mats are in great shape, and the short-game area gives you everything you need to actually improve, not just warm up. It's the kind of setup you'd expect at a private club, not a public complex. Staff is always friendly, and the clubhouse has a relaxed, community vibe. The snack bar and patio area are perfect for a post-round drink or bite while looking out over the course. Whether you're a longtime golfer or just easing your way into the game, Corica Park delivers an experience that feels premium without the premium price tag. Absolutely worth the visit!

This Redwood Canyon showed up, but not on the front page. I checked out the golf course website and decided to play here on a Thursday. Amazingly this one is the one I had my wedding 23 years ago. This golf course is so beautiful, I have to say it's the best kept secret of the East Bay. The course is a short or average 18 holes, but it's not easy. The fairways are actually narrow so you have to hit straight, easy to lose balls in the rough or the hills or the creeks. The fairways are well kept, green and beautiful. Every hole is a scenery of trees and canyon, so beautiful with some bambi walking around but also some rattlesnakes too so watch out when looking for balls in the bushes. The greens are so well kept but somehow every hard to put, none of the holes are flat, all curvy like a dome although they're not breaking badly, just not flat, sometimes like sitting on a dome, balls can roll either side of the holes. The price is amazingly inexpensive, the membership club is only $40/year, yes, year not month and you get discounts on everything, especially green fees. Just a few rounds, it's paid for. For Seniors like me, after 62, it's only $27 walking at this time, perfectly for walking, exercising 2 times a week without breaking the bank. Thursday special LOL. There's a women club that starts at 9-9:30AM, if you play after this time, it's a little slow until the 10th holes because they finished at the 9th holes most of them. My Verizon iPhone 15 had no signal through out the golf course, some ATT phones had some signals but not all holes. To my surprise she yells, "You're not even going to say excuse me?!" repeated this 3 times as I apologized if she didn't hear me but went on with her attitude anyway. There was another golfer in the restroom who felt that was absolutely unnecessary he heard me but it was apparent she didn't. Needless to say it will be the first and last time me and my friends organize our tee time here. Never experienced anything like this at any golf course in the world! Maybe aim that energy to your mop next time cause the bathroom was absolutely disgusting! A good time ruined by a rude staff member. Unnecessarily aggressive and uncomfortable especially after a good round of golf.
