The unit we were in was stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed. They had a grill out by the pool and a bag a charcoal was provided in the unit. Staying here is more a campground feeling compared to other rentals in the island. That was ok with us. Very nice tree covered area . The way the area used to be before the mega condo .One thing with the unit was the bathroom door stuck , which means you had to pull the bathroom door rather hard to exit. When your in bed at 330 am and your son is stuck in the bathroom and you wake up still drunk from the night before thinking someone is breaking in from all the commotion , it's kinda scary. My biggest issue here was the management company. We arrived to the unit around 330 pm to the address of the unit , 5955 Midnight Pass Rd to find the office empty. After wondering what we were supposed to do I called all the numbers I could find , including the property owner and they told me to 124 Columbus Blvd to check in. Ok , not a big deal. Wish I had a heads up before hand of where to go , driving 14 hours straight doesn't put one in the best of moods , we drove down and checked in. They told me at check in WiFi was only available at the " club house " which was mentioned NOWHERE on the VRBO listing . LUCKLY the owner had it in his unit. Unfortunately we had some work to do and sitting at a club house was not really an acceptable option. After check in , My wife and I wanted to hit the beach for the last hour and a half of sunlight (we were here over New Years ) and the key fob to access the beach was missing. By the time the management company found one and got it to me , we had enough time to watch the people leave the beach . The next day I inquired about the court Games that were in the office , the office no one occupies , they said sorry no court Games. Then I asked if we could bring a bike and leave at our cottage for the 4 days while we were here to use around the island , they said no to that too. So I had to drive 20 mins ( holiday traffic ) to rent bikes for 3 hours . Now keep in mind they charge a condo fee of 18$ a day on top off what you pay for the unit, which included WiFi , bike rental , beach access, parking. . Would i stay in this unit again , yes. It has a cool place with a beachy feel to it. I don't care for the 18$ a day extra fee charged by the MGMT company. I don't really see a value in it. We found this place from VRBO and was very happy to get this place on short notice for the New Years and the place was as expected. the place was nice and this post is in no way a reflection of the owner , unit or the grounds. Just the MGMT company.

We got a first floor room and it definitely helps when you are going out in the middle of the night with the fur baby. Well lit parking lot. This La Quinta is around a lot of shops. Very busy area, traffic is tough if you are not used to assertive driving. Good restaurant right around the corner. You can even walk to the restaurant. I always like the free breakfast.

The staff at the front desk were really nice and friendly and did their best to make our stay relaxing and stress-free. The rooms were very spacious and had plenty of space for four people. It came with a small refrigerator and a microwave as well. We had two adjoining rooms which made it nice because each room had a tv and there were three sinks in total. There was also a jacuzzi tub which the kids loved. Housekeeping is available only upon request and we didn't realize that until we checked out. We didn't really need it so that wasn't a huge issue. The one big disappointment was the breakfast. They didn't have a lot of options and the ones that they did have weren't so great. The hands-free pancake maker was cool although it wasn't working the first morning. I would like to see wheat bread (they had bagels and English muffins) and more fruit. They also need to have dairy-free options. I have stayed at other hotels with much better breakfasts. The price was great and the location wasn't bad. I might stay here again although it depends on what the price of the rooms are. If I do stay here, I hope that they improve their breakfast. Oh, and they should provide body wash. Bar soap is fine for washing my hands. They should give out body wash for the shower.

Our unit was dated, water damage visible on ceilings, silverware drawer hits oven door so doesn't open all the way, bath tile had been painted & paint is chipped & peeling, repairs made appear to be cheaply done & poorly constructed (marble sills atop ripped boards instead of trim???) We stayed 1 week and the staff & location made it a great stay but when we decided to extend our vacation we chose another resort on Manasota Key. This would be a great place but needs a complete gut & redo of interior.

Day one we ate it day two we went out. Apparently they have a thief problem with the towels etc.... There is a sign in the bathroom listing what you will be charged if you "keep" them.
