They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. Also love that the playground is covered and kids can play in the shade. That's a MUST for Texas parks!

I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. So, don't go by appearances and actually tug on the door! There are two relatively small parking lots that fill up quickly but there is also street parking available.

They have kiddie pools you can fill up with water, over by the hose to the side. There is a fire hydrant that mists water when you press down on the button. There are benches/places to sit throughout the park, with the largest being the gazebo at the front, near the fence. If you ever want to host some sort of puppy gathering, this would be the place to do it. Plenty of room!

I've hiked here in every kind of weather all year long. I love how there is always something new to see and its so wonderful to live in the city but so close to a place where you can go and not even hear a car. I've seen owls, alligators, wild boar, deer, snakes, and so many different kids of birds. I've lived all over the country as we used to be a military family and this was a hard move for me, initially. I'm not near any of my family here, and I had been living near mountains or the ocean my entire adult life. But I've grown to love the bayou wildlife and scenery as well.
