For all you can eat, this place is hard to beat especially for the price. They have pretty good quality ingredients and tons of sauce options. The best part of the experience was the staff who were all very friendly to us and the other guests but most of all was the hostess. It's not the best food by any means but you can get whatever you're feeling at the time and the price is unmatched at about $23 for food and drink for 2 people.

Cooking the food, If you did not put enough sauces on, they will add water to the food to keep it from burning, I always use LOTS of sauces

I have eaten here for many years, but not for some time as I no longer work close to the grill so I never make the time to come during the week and normally I am with my wife during the weekend and she is not a fan. I like this place. I get to choose how the flavor will be with my selection of vegetables and meats. The staff has always been polite and this time was no exception. The food is never outstanding, but it is good and it is filling. I always wish I had chosen a larger bowl when I am done, but ten minutes later, realize it is good that I did not... I will be back.

Great restaurant! A family favorite. You pick what you want, how much you want what sauce and how much sauce! Great service as well! Their covid protocols are using gloves when picking food and everything is sanitized!

What can I really say about this place? It is like most of the Mongolian bbqs. The place has the usual items to choose from and the night we went was a good night where most of of the containers had something in them. I must admit that I wonder where they get carrots that appear black in the middle. It's the only place in the world I have seen this phenomenon. I do like the control these places offer however, this place didn't bring our rice or drinks until we had been eating for 15 minutes. I still enjoy this place and will return again.

The aspect I appreciate most is the ability to customize my meal. The food is healthy, fresh, quick, and delicious!

This place sucks compared to the other ones service was horrible he dropped all my vegetables while cooking my food so I only got a bowl with noodles there very picky they don't want you getting a second bowl for your sauce and there's signs saying don't push your meat down in the bowl and there more expensive then other places won't be back to this one ever!

The nasty flowers near the tables that obviously haven't been cleaned in forever. What else do they not clean??

Please know that I never write bad reviews for restaurants. But I was so appalled at my food from this place, that I needed to write an honest review for those who don't know what they are getting themselves into. This was 100% the worst Mongolian grill I have ever been to. I tried really hard to have an open mind, but either I have experienced overly incredible food before, or this was seriously just that bad. The cooks wouldn't respond to anything I said (I'm guessing there was a language barrier, and so I'll give some grace for that. I don't expect you to speak English in order to live in the US). And when they placed my food on the grill, they let most of the juices and flavors from my bowl escape off of the grill and drain away, and within 30 seconds they refilled the bowl with WATER and added it to my food. They also let my food's juices(waters) to mix with another customers- what if the other customer didn't want my spicy sauce?? (Not that it matters, because you couldn't taste it anyway.) When it came off the grill, the food was completely flavorless and the noodles were a little undercooked (when I had asked the cool to cook the noodles well done. Again- language barrier?) I had to go back to the bar and pour in some more sauces to get a little flavor in there. Even then, it was pretty bad. My friend got some crab in hers, and it was nasty and rubbery. Not okay. And if you look at the pictures with this post, you will see that they don't have the cleanest idea of what a restaurant should look like. I am have a stomach ache from the food, and a bad taste in my mouth. I'm so sad and disappointed. Please just do yourself a flavor ( ;) ) and go somewhere else to eat. Redeeming qualities: -Our waitress was decently sweet. -The meat was cooked. -The water wasn't horrible for a restaurant.

    Grossly watered down bowl.

As always, Mongolian Grill has great food, the only thing, if you get crab or shrimp in your bowl, the seafood is very strong tasting.

The staff needs to figure it out. I know you don't speak English but a smile is universal.

CLOSED as of July 30, 2025…read more A couple originally from Portland (I think I have the city right) opened their kitchen offering take out only (delivery in limited area) Cantonese food that was pretty good for what it was. They operated out of one of the 17 ghost kitchens in what was the former CRAVE! Delivery kitchens in maybe 2024. (Honestly, the original owner of this original ghost complex added the naming emphasis but the original line up and the one that followed was a terrible disaster.) Now the owner of the ghost complex is apparently going to sell it. My understanding from the Wei people is they are closing now, they plan to travel (including China) for a while. Hopefully they'll come back and be able to open a bricks and mortar place. PS - Mai Thai that was also operating a take out operative from this same ghost complex after the kitchen fire and closure of their restaurant in downtown Boise announced earlier this month that they were leaving this ghost kitchen complex on July 27 and reopening in a Boise ghost complex. They didn't mention that the Meridian complex was being sold.

The generals chicken was soggy and perhaps it'd be better not to mix the sauce with the chicken, the other two dishes left something to be desired as far as I was concerned because the chicken pieces were too large like two slices and made vegetables were also large chunks. Overall flavor was acceptable. I guess the presentation was a biggest problem.

I'm amazed at what some people consider good Chinese food. I'm sorry to say this, but this place is…read morenot one of them. Never in my life have I ever walked out of a restaurant until this place. We ordered the egg roll (which is not a typical egg roll), it was huge with a lot of stuff inside it and was so big it could be an entree. That was the "better" item. We also ordered the spicy orange chicken. We could not figure out what parts of the chicken it was from, the meat looked so strange I honestly questioned if it was chicken. The breading was greasy & gross tasting (and I'm not opposed to greasy things). We had also ordered chow main at the same time as everything else, but after receiving our chicken dish & waiting 15 mins, we decided we wanted to just leave at that point. While we were waiting to try to get our check, the chef came out to go to the bathroom & his apron was disgustingly dirty. I'm scared of what the kitchen looked like if he was that dirty. When we got up to pay, we talked to the couple next to us & they agreed the place was terrible but they keep coming there (why?!). Writing this to try to save others from the disappointment (how is this a 3 star avg?).

The seats are cracked and the tape they used to repair them was peeling. The Chinese lanterns are dusty, carpeting in disrepair. The greeting upon entering was a young woman yelling across the room for us to seat ourselves anywhere we'd like. The young man who was our server was wearing a hoodie and jeans. He took our beverage order. The food: crab pops, they're supposed to be crab Rangoons. There wasn't any crab! They consisted of a quarter tsp of cream cheese and a piece of scallion. The chicken fried rice was soggy. The pot stickers were under cooked. The lemon chicken hardly had any lemon sauce . The egg rolls were huge but dry. The meal was awful. Our check wasn't itemized. This experience cost us $60.00. Within 30 minutes of leaving the restaurant my daughter was in the bathroom vomiting.

I recently read in the Idaho Statesman that this local Chinese joint was going to close at the end…read moreof the month. So sad, their situation. The rental company didn't give them an option to renew their lease. After 17 years, they are closing their doors without a choice. With closure comes choas. I remember when my family gave notice of our closure. We were chaotic from the time we announced it till the doors closed. Everyone is getting in their last hooray in. I anticipated that kind of madness when we stopped in for lunch today. And I was right, the place was a madhouse. When I have eaten here in the past, there was hardly anyone. It was just another table along with mine. It's always chill. Today on the other hand was pure madness. Tables were full of customers and dirty plates. I went ahead and sat myself and waited for my server. It took a minute for my server to get to me. She was the only one working so I just hung out till she got to me. Tea and menus were finally dropped off and I kicked it till my daughter showed up to have lunch with me. My daughter and I looked over the menu. Knowing it's our last meal at this joint, we decided to go ham. We both ordered soup, a lunch and I also snagged a tofu chow fun for later. My soup order was hot and sour. For lunch I went with your typical order of mandarin chicken, chow mein and pork fried rice. My daughter got won ton soup and beef with broccoli, fried rice and an egg roll. We waited for a hot minute for our food to be prepared. You can tell they were not staffed properly. Only one server with a whole dining room full of guests. I'm sure there were only a couple people working the kitchen trying to push out all of the orders coming in. Our soup did finally make it out. We both ordered small bowls but the bowl size was gracious. They were both hot and steamy. My hot and sour soup was ok. It wasn't really spicy but it did have a nice sour element to it. There were pieces of tofu, bamboo and carrots. It was thick and hearty but overall it was ok. My daughter's won ton soup was average. The broth was nice but there was not a lot of filling in the won ton. It was mainly won ton wrapper. And I found it odd that they put lettuce in the won ton soup. Lunch was dropped off shortly after we started working on our soup. When I placed my order, I had asked for fried rice with my meal. Server said it would be an extra charge and I figured it would be. My plate didn't have the fried rice. It only came with my chicken and chow mien. After I addressed my server about it, she looked completely lost. I got an "ok" and never saw her again. So, I just worked on what I had. The chicken was good. It was fresh this time around. I love the saltiness of the chicken with the sweet and sour sauce. The chow mien will always be one of my favorite dishes. It reminds me of my childhood, growing up at my uncle's Chinese restaurant and eating it all the time. I love when the crunchy noodles get all soft from the sauce. The bean sprouts are my favorite. The chow fun was really good. It was savory, the noodles were chewy and the tofu was perfectly fried. They will always have some of the best chow fun in town. I'm giving today's visit a 5 star but in reality it's truly a 3. I didn't get my rice, our server didn't really tend to our table and I had to get my bill adjusted for extra charges. I know the end of the road is coming soon for them but hopefully they will be able to prepare themselves for the next couple days because the choas will only get worse and clearly they need the extra hands. I wish these folks the best of luck with their future endeavors, whatever they may be. I'm happy I got one last meal in before doors are finally closed at the end of this month. Truly sad that another local joint will be just a fond memory for us now.

If you are feeling some quick Chinese food, pop in here. I enjoy the older feeling of the…read morerestaurant, it reminds me of when I was kid. Most places have remodeled and taken out the charm and ambiance of restaurants making them stale. Lucky Palace still has that charm and evokes that feeling of being a kid, with your family, on a Friday night family date. I will say the food seems to be on the saltier side here, pretty consistently. And I am on the search for the best sweet and sour chicken in the valley, the chicken was overcooked on the sweet and sour and the sauce on the extreme sweet side. The one time I ordered generals chicken, it was a bit unmanageable to eat because of the salt. I never waste leftovers, I did not eat these leftovers because of the salt content. With that said, I think you can find some good things on the menu. We did enjoy the egg rolls (on the super greasy side), and my parents manage to find great options such as the Lo Mein. Give this a few tries and I do believe you can find a dish you will keep coming back for. Hidden in a strip mall type setup, you would never know it is there unless you are looking for it. I kind of like that. It feels hidden. Like a secret restaurant.
