Worst pizza ever.. i would rather make something else at home then eating there. I ordered 2 pizza cheese and veggie ( without mushrom and with pineapple) . They made both my pizza wrong . I am vegetarian, they added pepproni in my cheese pizza. Also in another pizza they didnt added pineapple and instead of that they added mushroom. When i ate pizza there was 2 hair in it..eeewwwww... i told to manager he returned my money . But i had so bad experience i wont suggest anyone to eat there. We tried a pepperoni pan pizza, thin crust BBQ chicken, and bread sticks. The pan pizza was dry and fairly tasteless. The thin crust was a cracker with no sauce. The breadsticks were freezer burnt on one side. The inside if the establishment looked fairly clean and pleasant. read more

The worst take out experience ever. Tried using coupon ordering online was not able to use then went to pick up pizza and it was wrong. To top it off the owner was not wanting to be bothered at all. Then come to find out that they had another promotion going that would have been a better deal and they never even offered it. I just moved to the area and was jonesing for some good pizza. I asked a local cashier where to find some and she told me Monicals was across the street. I ordered a 12 inch thin crust pizza and although the place was not too busy, it took 25 minutes for it to get to my table. (I did see a large carryout order go out in front of mine.) The pizza was, in a word, tasteless. I could get no sense of sauce, cheese or pepperoni. It was all just a globular cardboard mass. Maybe their other menu items are better, but I don't see me going back. Sad face, but I'll keep looking for good pizza. read more

Great pizza. The thin crust is amazing and love the bread sticks and cheese. We always get the family meal which includes a fresh salad and great choices of dressings. Even when they are extremely busy you get great friendly, fast service. read more

Pizza is good. Delivery service sucks. On multiple occasions, I had pizza delivered to my employment for lunch. No matter how much I stressed that it needed to be there by 7:00pm, they couldn't get it to me before my lunch break was over. Bunch of kids with poor attitudes. read more

The Yelp app said that this particular Monical's delivered to the Plainfield, IN area. When I called them they said they DO NOT deliver to the Holiday Inn Express at the I-465 and Rockville Rd. Exit. Funny, they're just down the road about a mile. I guess they must not cater to hotels. read more

Very poorly ran business. Ordered some pizza for my sick child and was stated an hour for delivery. After an hour, I called to check on our order. Employee stated that they hadn't started on the order and transferred me to management. Management then stated that someone else came in so it will still be another 45 minutes for delivery. What???!!!! Instead of offering a discount or even an apology, he merely asked if I wanted to cancel the order. Horrible customer service. I have been highly satisfied with other Monicals chains, but we will NEVER order from this location again. If I were the owner, I would be highly concerned with management driving my business into the ground. If you really want a pizza in less than an hour or two, order from somewhere else. I love Monicals deep dish pizza. Amazing taste, not too greasy as many pizza places serve. The breadsticks are yummy. The menu had many options, it's not just a pizza joint. Pasta, salads, sandwiches are also available. I have been disappointed twice with delivery. Forgetting part of my order. The lasagna didn't fill even half the container it was delivered in, so it had slid all over and separated during delivery. We won't be getting it delivered anymore, but I will still dine in. read more

Great pizza, breadsticks, pepperoni rolls, and garlic bread. Other food....not so good, specifically spaghetti and lasagna. Salads are bland with a lot of lettuce and minimal toppings in a little bowl, but you do get a whole bottle of dressing instead of a little cup. Service is sometimes slow but always friendly. Outrageous phone etiquette by the guy who claims he is the :"General Mgr" wouldn't answer my questions and the prices are crazy when I just wanted them to REMOVE a few ingredients and they wanted to CHARGE me for that! Just got a pizza here for the first time, and sadly we were very disappointed! We ordered a thin crust with mushrooms and spinach. I was surprised to see that the spinach leaves were whole and on top of the cheese. The crust was extremely tough (not crispy) and way too salty. Honestly I wish I had just bought a frozen pizza, because it would have been much better and WAY cheaper! Never again. read more

OMG! I ordered a veggie PAN PIZZA! and Bread sticks today. yuck !!!!!!!! Worst Pizza and Bread sticks i had in my life! No Salt in both I had to throw the whole pizza in the Trash. Hard earned money going in trash! I was very disappointed when the cheese-free, gluten-free veggie pizza I ordered arrived at my home covered in cheese. Because of my severe allergies, I had to spend my birthday dinner dissecting the pizza, picking out untainted toppings, and reassembling it. Not much fun! I do applaud Monical's for having GF crusts, but it's annoying that they cannot be ordered online. read more

This was my favorite pizza in Avon, But in recent days they turned to be the worst. Last two experiences with them has been bad and both the time they completely delivered a different order than what I have ordered. Not only that, the taste as well gone from best to worst. I really enjoy Monical's thin crust pizza. It's not the crunchy cracker thin crust, but just a thin doughy crust. I've only picked up pizza to go so I can't really review the dine-in service but the pizza to go service is good. And, I've only had the thin crust pizza & the bread sticks so I can't review the other styles of pizza or the salads or the wings, etc. The bread sticks are just sticks of........bread. Not the chewy pizza crust style bread sticks. Disappointing unless that's the style you like. But, the Italian Special thin crust pizza is what I crave from Monicals. It is covered with a flavorful red pizza sauce, tasty small crumbly sausage, onions, GREEN OLIVES, mushrooms and pepperoncinis. And, on top of this they add their own special seasoning blend that is very peppery. They say a large 16" pizza will feed 4-5 people but I think 3 people can pretty much polish it off. I used to think Monical's was a 4 star place. I have to say though. Last time I ordered a thin crust pizza it was partially burned. I was somewhat disappointed because I've had superb pizza there in the past. I think they are capable of being an excellent pizza joint. Consistency is an issue here though at times. Usually the servers are good but sometimes the cashiers at the front take too long to acknowledge you when you are ready to pay your bill. I believe that Bazbeaux is the best pizza in Indianapolis area so I highly recommend that. As an alternative to Monical's I would also recommend Randelli's down the road. There food seems to be more consistent. It's not as good as Bazbeaux but you will know what you are getting every time. Monical's prices are somewhat high which does not necessarily deter me. I will pay more for consistently good food. But, to earn my business the food needs to be commensurate with what they charge. I will probably give them one more chance. I just wish Avon had a Bazbeaux or a Greek's pizzeria like in Fisher's. read more

I went to Monical's Pizza today and I have to say that it was definitely not the best experience I have had there. The service today was pretty bad, which normally it is not. However, the reason I am giving them 4 stars is because the pizza we got was amazing and after talking with the manager she went way above and beyond when I brought the poor service to her attention. Best pizza in Avon! Love the family atmosphere of this restaurant. Its always got a crowd, but they can usually get you seated right away. Love the backroom specifically set up for large groups. Great place to meet friends and enjoy some excellent pizza! read more

Let me just start out by saying that I grew up on Monical's. It originated in my mother's hometown and it was the only restaurant we ever ate at whenever we would go visit our grandparents and aunt. When Monical's moved to Indiana, I was beyond excited. I was absolutely, positively thrilled! Although the pizza here tastes slightly different (I'm assuming that's because there's all new cooks trying to recreate a dish from a single restaurant in a different state), the food itself is delicious. I love their thin crust as it is nicely crisp and they always use the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Not to mention their breadsticks, garlic cheese bread, salad, and sauces are DIVINE. Customer service in the restaurant is impeccable; employees are always willing to help out and their work ethic never ceases to amaze me. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this Monical's and will be eating there again. (Probably tomorrow!) read more
