2025 was my turn to host Christmas and New Year's for my family in Carmel, Indiana. We had visitors from Chicago, New York, Florida, Detroit, and Los Angeles. We did Newfields and visited the refurbished Speedway Museum--both great experiences. But nothing prepared me for this. One evening, my family insisted we go to Roselli's to experience "good, genuine" Chicago pizza because it has "good reviews." I warned them that Roselli's was excellent 25 years ago but has since slipped to mediocre at best. I was outvoted, and unfortunately, we went. We ordered deep-dish pizzas. What Roselli's calls "deep dish" is absolutely not deep dish. It barely qualifies as thick crust. It was a thick, bready pizza with almost no sauce, very little cheese, and hardly any of the toppings we ordered. By no stretch of the imagination was this Chicago-style deep dish. It was beyond disappointing. I ate one slice and refused to eat any more. As soon as we left the restaurant, everyone agreed on how bad the pizza was. Unfortunately, by then it was too late--we had wasted our evening and our money on food that was genuinely awful. Hate to say it, but if zero stars were possible, I would give Roselli's zero stars. read more

We ordered a thin crust classic combo pizza to pick up which includes sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers and olives. We're from the Chicago area and this reminded us of a hole in the wall place we always ordered from. For anyone from the Franklin Park, IL area, this is super close to Jake's pizza. The crust is thin and crisp and the sausage is the correct type; it is actually Italian sausage which is the key...the balance of sausage, onions, peppers and mushrooms was perfect. The pepperoni and olives were "extra" in my mind but good! The aroma in the car was spot on a memory from childhood. If you didn't grow up on this pizza you might not like it as it is different from other thin crust pizza styles, but if you also grew up on Chicago thin crust you'll probably love this. Next time I will order it "well done". If they know what that means, they are definitely the real deal. The pizza was ready when promised via online ordering, and was hot and fresh. I was a little worried when I drove up to Roselli's and saw all the police cars, but later learned that police and firemen get a steep lunch discount. We stopped by to get a small pizza for lunch as I wanted to try their Chicago style pies. We saw pretty quickly that everyone gets the buffet. I didn't want a buffet, but after I saw the variety of pizza and an option for salad, we got the buffet. The dining room is pretty dark filled with large wood booths, reminiscent of a Chicago pizza joint. There is a covered patio if you want more light and fresh air. I got a couple pieces of pizza, salad and a piece of garlic bread that I really didn't need. The homemade sauce on the deep dish is really fresh and good. But I liked the crunchy thin crust pizza the best. The pizza toppings were pretty standard. The salad was basic bag salad with options to add tomato, cheese and peppers. There was pasta on the buffet, but I didn't need additional carbs. I tried the bolognese sauce which was delicious and the star in my opinion. The buffet comes with a soft drink, and I had pink lemonade. All in all, it was a decent lunch. The staff was friendly and worked hard to keep the buffet filled and tidy. read more

I'm from Chicago and I'm so glad I found this place! The deep dish is legit, crust is perfection, not too thick on the bottom and the buttery end crust is crispy but soft in the middle. Sauce has a touch of sweetness which I love and ingredients are super fresh. We purchased carry out - a deep dish, thin crust, and fried cheese ravioli. The ravioli was ok, but under seasoned - in particular the dipping sauce. The thin crust was a serviceable pizza, no better or worse than other local places. The star of this place is their deep dish. The crust is a great mix of chewy and crunchy with an almost pretzel texture to the crust. There was a perfect amount of cheese and sauce. I was disappointed at the distribution of topping though. While there were plenty of olives, they were in big clumps instead of scattered over the pizza. Since they melted into the cheese, it was difficult to move them around on each slice. There are worse things in life, but hopefully this was a one off and they are normally fantastic about spreading things around. We will definitely try them again. read more

We decided to give Roselli's another try, as we know many love it. Unfortunately, it was another terrible experience. It took 2.5 hours to get our pizza. When we called, being polite and patient, the staff continuously mocked us and were rude. I can empathize with "busy", but I can't deal with employees turning the problem around onto the customer, as if it was my fault we ordered from Roselli's. When the pizza finally arrived, it was "fine". Service killed our loyalty 5 years ago... and it didn't change. read more

I've heard of Rosellis but finally got a chance to experience. Our waitress was very friendly and outgoing..lots of personality. She made great suggestions. The Pizza is really good and we got the deep dish 10', which was more than enough for pizza for 2. Our appetizer was the fried Ravioli which can see are not in the pictures. It didn't really have a chance to survive to make a food selfie Perfect place to catch a game because it had few TVs indoor and outdoor. Definitely will go again and I recommend it. We saw pictures of this fabulous buffet on facebook and decided we needed to try it next time we are on the north side (Carmel) we live in Greenwood Wish we took pictures because it didn't even closely resemble what we saw. 5-6 different pizzas, garlic bread and a salad bar with lettuce and two different toppings and 3 dressings. Amazing food, service, atmosphere, and price was great!! Went for the buffet today with my client. Was something planned for him. He was looking forward to it and it did not disappoint. The pizza was top notch! Salad was very good, garlic bread was great to have...great to dip in cheese, marinara or even the meat sauce. My oh my, the meat sauce was good! Service was good but pizza was pretty bad. I got a 10"cheese pizza that had very little cheese at all. Sauce didn't taste fresh. The bill for just my husband and I was $60+tip for 2 -10" pizzas and 2 sodas. Way overpriced for quality of pie. Very disappointed. read more

OMG! We have been looking for a good pizza place in the area and have finally found it!! We had the deep dish pepperoni special and it was deeeeelicious!!! Also got the chopped salad (regular) and it was huge and had so much flavor. Service was top notch. So happy with this find. Cannot wait to come back and try some of the other menu items. read more

Roselli's is the true essence of Chicago. Many not from the Chicago area will probably order the deep dish Chicago is famous for, but the locals always order the thin crust. It was perfect made with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere quiet and quaint with wood accents. I haven't been there in years, but my wife and I will put into our rotation. We've been coming here for years. Being that I'm from Chicago, I'm always on the lookout for pizza that reminds me of home. While not exactly the same, I feel like the thin crust is as close as I can get here in Indy. It's always really good. The service is fine - they are usually busy so it can be a bit slow, but not bad at all. And the ambiance is the typical pizza pub. I do recommend giving this place a try! read more

This was my first time trying Roselli's pizza with my family and we didn't have to wait to place an carry out order. The guys there were very nice and welcoming. While we waited for the pizzas to cook we were catching up on the games next to the Christmas tree (the Christmas tree was probably my favorite thing because of the cute pizza ornaments). The deep dish pizza scene in Indy leaves much to be desired so when you come across a place like this it's worth mentioning. The factors to consider are: sauce, cheese, ingredients and crust. The sauce: the sauce was flavorful while having both and sweet and tangy flavor. The sauce is what prepares you for what is to follow. The cheese: the cheese was thick and chewy and did not disappoint. The ingredients: I ordered sausage, pepperoni, Canadian Bacon and meatball. these were very flavorful and I savored every bite. The crust: the crust was not soggy and the rich buttery crust, while not Chicago grade, still held its own for an Indy locale. Overall this was a good pizza. My husband and I like a variety of pizza and we really enjoy the deep dish pizza of Roselli's, which is just as good as any I've ever had in Chicago. Roselli's gives generous portions of sauce and cheese, and the crust is buttery and delicious and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. They also take special orders like I'll take half of the pizza with pepperoni and I'll take half of it with something else less sauce more sauce they're very accommodating. read more
