My mom set up an appointment for us to come in a check out some wedding dresses. This being my last appointment for the day, I didn't think I would be walking away with anything that day. We walked into the store and saw a few brides trying on dresses. Ashley welcomed us and asked a few questions on what look I was looking for. I showed her a photo and she pulled a few dresses. For a luxury designer store where I bought two bridal gowns, a bolero, and a veil, I expected a lot more from the store in terms of client service & alterations. This is my experience with the store for my October wedding in '25. Everything was fine up until I came in for my fitting, Talia, the alterations supervisor who's aggressive gave me a speech of what was going to be done, in a way that was lecture. It was not a pleasant experience and I was taken aback. The next three fittings were confusing because I was told that the fittings would take up to 2hrs, yet they only lasted 20mins, 30mins tops. Hardly anything was done. She could have done so much with that time. The 3rd time I was there, I tried on one of my dresses which I wasn't going to get bustled. I forgot and asked her, "Will this dress be bustled?" Talia aggressively responded, "You said you wasn't going bustle this dress!" Who speaks to a client like that? They way she said that was very aggressive. On the 4th fitting, apparently, they overbooked so Talia disappeared mid-fitting to attend to another client. She almost had some other person help me out. I was given a candle the next time I came as an apology, which I wouldn't have received until I mentioned that I'm concerned about my gowns being finished in time to Sammie, my SA. There were a few times during my fittings and it seemed like she went and took bites of food --- I'm not sure why they said it was OK to come in during her lunch time? The next three fittings I was made to feel like there was not enough time to get things done --- I wonder why? I came in for a total of SIX fittings, which should have been more than enough time. I suggested the "sixth" fitting with the way things were going because it seemed like they needed more time. The plan was to come in at 10am so that they had all day to work on my gowns before pickup day. The next day was the day before my wedding day, my pick-up day. Talia to me to come anytime after 1:30pm and that I didn't have to call beforehand. I told her that I'd be there at 3ish before I head over to my rehearsal dinner. Me telling her 3pm shouldn't haven't been code for you have until 3pm to work on my gowns. That day was for pick up ---- not for extended time for alterations. The point of me giving them a sixth fitting was so that they had the extra 24+hrs to making finishing touches. Talia had told me to come in in the morning for that purpose. Monique must remember me sitting there the day before at 10am waiting for them to take me in for my final fitting because she was there and saw me in Oct. I changed my mind and wanted to pick up my gowns before 3pm so I emailed my SA, but she said because I told Talia that I would come at 3pm, that the gowns were still being sewed even after 1:30pm. What the heck?! First of all, I do not want my gowns to be sewn so last min and it worried me that they were rushing and there would be issues with the dresses. I was worried about the end-product of my dresses so I emailed Sammy back, who I could sense that she had an argument with Talia. If she hadn't, then she sure had a passive aggressive tone in her email that I didn't appreciate. Throughout my fittings, there were two instances where Talia forgot or totally made up something about the next fitting. I don't even remember anymore. I'm the client here. I am a kind person, so I brushed it off until I was disrespected on my pick-up day. I asked my SA to please double check the dress and make sure that everything is perfect. I got no response. Her excuse was that she was busy with a client. I don't care. When I came to pick up my dress, I had to wait yet again, for another 10-15mins until they brought it down. No one apologized --- neither person came to greet me that day. Pick up day should be reserved for picking up the dress not making finishing touches on it because they didn't use their time wisely. Sure enough there were issues with the finished product. I was putting on my bolero - which was never worn btw, two people helping me put on my bolero said that there was a big hole by the buttons. I was skeptical, until J.Scheer, the dress cleaning & preservation company informed me of this as well. This is a bolero that is over 2k. The side bust on the Soleil had issues too according to J. Scheer which shouldn't have been there. I regret buying the most important dresses of my life here. This is not how a luxury bridal store should operate. It's shameful and I wouldn't recommend anyone getting their most important piece of clothing there. Service for me was great until I bought my gowns, and it went down hill during alterations. ML isn't fitting you or having her couture team do alterations. It's a different team. I should've mentioned that my FIL is a world-renowned celebrity --- perhaps then I would have received better service. I shouldn't have to. read more

I had such an amazing experience at the Monique Lhuillier boutique. Honestly, it was probably the best part of wedding planning. From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel so special like a total princess. They were incredibly kind, professional, and just genuinely lovely to work with. They were also super upfront about pricing, which I really appreciated. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. The whole appointment felt calm, warm, and personal. I tried on a few gowns Angelina, Alexandra, and Marseille were my top favorites and they were all absolutely stunning. In the end, I went with the Alexandra dress and paired it with the Angelina jacket. I felt so beautiful and totally myself in it. I can't say enough good things about the staff--they really took care of me and made it such a memorable and fun experience. Went to Monique over the weekend as my FIFTH (!!) wedding dress appt with no luck prior. Rachel was my sales consultant during my wedding dress shopping, and I had an amazing experience. She was able to read my responses to each dress I tried on and pull other options from how I was feeling. I ended up finding my dream dress from options she picked based on my reactions in under an hour. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful during the whole process. She offered valuable insights into sizing, measurements, tailoring details, and the entire purchasing process. I went with my friend this past weekend to support her trying on wedding dresses with her mom! They have you show vaccination cards at the door or you will be required to wear a mask. We were shown where to sit on 2 super cute couches and were offered sparkling or regular water. The woman helping my friend was fantastic. I really did not want to leave this review but as I'm receiving more and more pictures from my wedding, I am getting more and more disappointed. I have tried to email the staff member I had been speaking to when I was buying+tailoring my dress but I received no response. The customer service I received in store was nothing short of kind and professional, and even the tailor during our meetings was very sweet and helpful, I am only upset about the final product. I requested to make the sleeves of my dress detachable, which at the time of purchase and even at several of my fittings I had been told would not be a problem. However, I never got the chance to try on my dress with the detachable sleeves as it was left as the very LAST thing to be done, and so did not know just how badly it would be done. The latches for the sleeves to hook on to we're very flimsy pieces of string, and ripped just an hour into me wearing my dress - I didn't even make it to church without the dress literally tearing from the inside, I had to find whatever pins I could get and was constantly asking people to pin me INTO the dress so the sleeves would make it down the aisle. In all my pictures, you can either see that the dress is falling apart, or you can see the literal metal pins I had to use to keep the sleeves on! If I had known, I would have gotten my dress tailored elsewhere, as I was charged around $2000 for the tailoring alone and ended up with a makeshift dress. With the caveat that I haven't actually purchased a dress (yet), I had a phenomenal experience here with the help of Lindsay. I made an appointment here for my first dress shopping visit. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by all the staff. Lindsay, however, truly made my experience. She was incredibly professional, knowledgable, and fun to work with, and at no time did I ever feel pressured or rushed. They have a decent selection in store, with a diverse range in styles and price range. I was able to try on 5 dresses during my appointment, and they were all very beautiful (narrowed it down to 3, and even that was difficult). The dresses I tried on ranged from $5-12k. After running unfashionably late to my appointment because of an obscene traffic jam in the CC mall, my friend and I were warmly welcomed into the gorgeous salon by Lindsay and were encouraged to browse while she brought out the bridal shoes I had called ahead to try on. Like so many other couples, my husband and I were supposed to get married in 2020. So in January 2020, my mom, my maid of honor, and I headed over to Melrose to my appointment at Monique Lhuillier. Like meeting my would-be husband, seeing my would-be wedding dress for the first time was love at first sight. I didn't really anticipate buying my dress right then and there, but I tried on the Bloom Gown and that was that. Then March came around, and the world shut down with the pandemic. My poor dress waited around for over two more years, until it finally had its moment in the sun. But when it did in summer 2022, boy what a moment it was. Monique Lhuillier's work is sublime. I have never looked more beautiful or worn anything more precious in my life, and if there's ever a time to look your best it's got to be your wedding day. I recently got engaged and have been so excited to make an appointment at Monique Lhuillier -- her gowns are truly stunning. I reached out via their website contact form and a couple days later someone called me to schedule an appointment. Great, done. Fast forward-- we walk up to the store on our appointment day and the associate, Priscilla, opens the door asking us how she can help us. We let her know we're here for an appointment and she proceeds to leave us outside for 10 mins while she "checking our appointment". It wasn't until another mother/daughter walk up and another associate who let them in asks us how she can help us, till the other associate finally lets us inside. Finally while we wait inside, Priscilla rudely lets me know that unfortunately they're all booked up today and looks like I don't have an appointment -- although there is a note in the system that they called me previously (which was when I scheduled the appointment via phone!). Instead of realizing there must have been a mistake on their end and apologizing, she just said unfortunately there's no one to help you and maybe we can try to find another day for you to come back. Mind you, my mom drove all the way from Calabasas to meet me for this appointment. It was such a horrible experience. These ladies are supposed to make you feel warm and fuzzy for your special day! There could have been so many other ways to handle this situation and that was not it. I will not be giving a dollar of commission to anyone who treats us this way and will be looking for my wedding gown elsewhere. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. My daughter made an appointment to try on bridal gowns. We got there this morning on time and went up to the door. A sales person opened the door and asked us what we wanted. We told her we had an appointment. She said she would check and close the door leaving us in the street. About 10 minutes later another mother and daughter came to the door and another sales person opened the door, let them in, asked us what we needed and when we said we had an appointment she opened the door and let us in. Then the first sales woman came back and called my daughter by the wrong name, said there was no appointment for us in their books. Then she proceeded to tell us that they were fully booked and maybe they can find another appointment for us. No apology about their mistake. She was so rude and condescending that I started to get more and more angry. She kept up her obnoxious attitude. I finally couldn't take it anymore and told my daughter we are leaving. I will never pay a dollar to anyone who hires such a rude person to sell for them. Walked out made a few calls and another Beverly Hills bridal shop had an opening and got us in. I think we might have even found "the" dress at this shop. Very sad that some people act as if they were raised in a barn. Not a single we are sorry for a mistake they made. read more

Just visited last weekend to look for a wedding dress, and I want to give a big shout out to Lindsay who helped me during my appointment. I went to few other wedding boutique shops and designer flagship stores before going to Monqiue Lhuillier flagship store in Melrose, and not only the dress captured my heart, but it was truly Lindsay's down to earth attention that made me decide to purchase the dress for my big day. She did not make the shopping experience feel like I am just one of the customers who could possibly bring in money (this is experience i had elsewhere), but she was genuinely interested in finding the right one for my day. I built up anxiety from different stores since they kept on mentioning that i'm late in dress shopping, and that i would have to order ASAP, but Lindsay helped me to enjoy the shopping by giving me assurance that I am not late and that everything will be on time. I bought my wedding dress and veil here, and considering how much money I spent, I wasn't blown away by their customer service. Some of the staff seem pretty jaded, probably because they deal with so many celebrity / high profile clients. But come on, weddings should only happen once in a lifetime, right!?! The assistant who usually sits at the front desk was friendly and helpful, but I forgot her name. Kirsten helped me during my very first appointment here. She was sweet, and I found a dress that I thought was the one, but I still wanted to shop around a bit more. Plus I wanted to come back to see the upcoming season's dresses at their trunk show... That's when I really found "the one," and of course it wasn't complete without the veil! Although, I wasn't even planning on using a veil. As can be expected, my appointment on the day of the trunk show felt a bit rushed as they were busy. Luckily, I'm not too indecisive, but I can see how someone else might feel too rushed into making a decision. Funniest part of the visit was my mom... She told me she didn't like their champagne and preferred the champagne at another high end bridal store we visited earlier that day on Rodeo Drive, hehe. Maybe I should have taken that as a sign. Later on, one of the assistants actually ended up telling my fiancé where they get their sparkling wine. I wasn't blown away by the quality of my dress or veil either, especially considering the price and that it was "brand new" and made to order in LA. The boning of the corset felt off / missing in certain areas, and there seemed to be snags in the silky fabric (obviously delicate fabric), which I didn't notice until bringing my dress home after the final fitting and taking a closer look. Overall, the quality is probably better than you would get at a more moderately priced bridal store, but I still wonder how it would compare to other high end bridal stores. Wendy and her assistant did an amazing job with my alterations, and I'm glad they did so because my dress felt at least two or three sizes too big at my first fitting. Not sure if this had to do with the measurements they took being off or weight loss or the combination of both. They were very receptive to my input during fittings. The only issue I had was that at my very first fitting, I felt I had to wait longer for my appointment to start compared to the time I was seen / my dress was actually worked on; they could have been running behind as it was the end of the day and probably the last fitting of the day. They added a blusher to my veil, but I ended up not using the blusher because I didn't feel they oriented the design of the veil properly when it was pulled forward as a blusher. It is also difficult to get the preferred length of the blusher correct if you don't come in with your hair done in almost the exactly same way you'll do it on your wedding day; coming in on the same day as your hair trial might help. Their veils are also very highly priced. I thought my veil was worth the cost, but I saw another bride try to resell her new / never worn veil in a Facebook LA brides wedding group and get responses from other brides saying they bought a very similar veil for 90% less. If you find a dress and/or veil you absolutely love here, don't hesitate to get it. But at the same time, don't be afraid to shop around! read more

It was my first time trying on dresses and I was told by one of my bridesmaids to visit Monique. I made an appointment for a Saturday and after the long drive from OC, valet'd the car right in front (so nice not having to search for street parking). We were warmly greeted and I filled out some paperwork. Melanie asked me what I was looking for and I had sent her some pix from the website. She gave me shapewear and shoes and we got started. I tried on some very beautiful dresses and was able to take loads of pix. She ensured that I was trying items on in my budget and asked if it was outside of my price point. I have loved Monique Lhuillier gowns for as long as I can remember. I'm not one of those girls that dreamt of what my wedding dress would look like, or even knew wedding dress designers by name. For whatever reason, though, I knew Monique. When I got engaged, I decided to make an appointment for a consultation. Funny enough, I told my sister-in-law that we probably wouldn't find anything there, but I wanted to go just to cross it off my list. I must have imagined snooty sales girls, dresses fit only for runway models, and completely insane pricing. I could not have been more wrong! From the moment I stepped inside, I felt at ease. Sara was my consultant and confidently helped me choose an assortment of gorgeous gowns. She made the experience light, fun, and really listened to me. I found two styles that I liked, and set a follow up appointment for the next week. During that week, I stopped in another time with my mom and they fit me in with barely any notice. On my final visit (exhausted after going to 15 other bridal shops that week), I was helped again by Sara as well as her manager, Kirsten. I fell in love with two styles--one for her bodice and the other for her skirt. Sara and Kirsten helped me come up with a custom design combining the two into my dream dress. I felt so cared for throughout this whole process, almost as if Sara and Kirsten were my friends and really wanted to do everything they could to get me into the perfect gown. I gave one star for the look of the store, it's exquisite. But I had such a horrible experience at Monique Lhuillier. A bit of a disclaimer, I don't look very girly, nor do I look like I am extraordinarily wealthy, but I have an amazing mother that has given me a substantial wedding budget. I love Monique Lhuillier's wedding gowns, so I came straight to the source. The dresses were beautiful, but my consultant Wesley was horrible. I explained to her the style I was going for, but never once asked me what my budget was for my dress. I found that odd, but that was just the beginning of a series of errors that left me feeling like she assumed from the start that I was a waste of her time. What really griped me was that she didn't help me into the dresses. She'd take them off of the hanger and just hand them over to me and make me get into them myself. Some were easy to get into, while the fuller skirted ones required my mother or friends help me balance while I stepped into them. That's a bunch of crap. I had been to a few bridal salons before going to ML, and each time the consultant helped me into their gowns. Thankfully I didn't find a dress there that I fell in love with, because Wesley didn't deserve my commission. read more

My experience at Monique Lhuillier was incredible. I had been a bit disheartened with my first dress try-on experience at a very high-end store, that left me feeling "meh" in terms of dresses, sizing available for try-on, and overall experience. I wasn't quite sure what to expect walking into the ML store on Melrose Place. But upon entering, I was warmly greeted by three store associates and walked over to my party, who had arrived before me. Everyone had water and I was brought one quickly as well. These are small touches that we appreciated that did not go unnoticed. My stylist was Lindsay and I honestly don't even know where to begin. She was charming, warm, just all-around lovely and she knew every dress. Every one of my friends that was with me mentioned how incredible she was. I showed her my Pinterest board and a she had a few of the dresses immediately pulled for me. My four friends that came with me (the perfect amount IMO) and they helped me select a few more dresses as well. I have been lucky enough to own two other Monique Lhuillier evening dresses before and the fit was just truly like no other. I'm happy to report the same with their bridal gowns. The fit was impeccable, even with the sample size gowns being pinned, etc. I'm not sure if I quite found The Dress, but I think I might have. I'm so picky that even getting this close to finding one is huge. I'm still mulling it over and going through photos. That was another thing I really appreciated. I had asked in advance if I'd be able to take photos of the dresses (completely would understand either way: yes/no) and they let me know it would be fine. It was invaluable to see how the dresses looked on me in photos vs real life. I can't explain it, but this experience was one of the happiest moments of my life. I know this might sounds dramatic, but it really was. It was great having all my friends there and the level of service at Monique Lhuillier is incredible. Getting to try on dream dress after dream dress was everything I'd wanted as a bride-to-be. We felt welcome from start to finish. I left my appointment glowing. It was the best. I'm sure all the stylists are wonderful, but I feel especially lucky to have gotten to work with Lindsay, she is one-of-a-kind! She even went and pulled a dress from the backroom in my size, which is slightly bigger than the sample sizing so I could see how one of my favorite dresses fit. Lace with a little sparkle is all I've ever wanted! BUT being the indecisive person I am sometimes, I couldn't decide which dress I wanted most or rather I just didn't get the "this is the one" feeling. I tried on quite a few dresses and they all looked pretty but not AMAZING. The service here is awesome though and the selection is astronomical! It's like being a kid at a candy store and I've always loved loved loved dresses/gowns and how they fit. I'm totally in love with Monique Lhuillier gowns, especially the ones with Alencon lace. Some of the bridal lines are classy, modern, and classic. With a Monique Lhuillier gown, you can expect sky high prices. Monique has made dresses for Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Eva Longoria, and other celebrities to name a few. Dresses here do not run cheap. They usually run around 5K starting to as much as 20K and up. I had dreamed of owning an Alencon lace gown by Monique for my wedding but because of the outrageous prices, my dreams had fallen flat. I knew there would be no way my parents would let me purchase a dress between 6K-9K range. In addition, just having the thought of buying a dress that cost that much made me feel guilty and selfish. It wasn't practical at all especially with the way the economy is right now. Luckily, I was able to get a gown here for a special price during one of their rare sales. It was the last one available in store and in my size. The dress fit me perfectly and it was also made of Alencon lace. I couldn't believe it! What I thought would turn out to be a disappointment, turned out to be a dream come true. Let me start off this review by saying that I didn't purchase my dress here, but I really really wish I would have. Before I even made an appointment here, I called because I wanted to try on an older dress in the ivory color that wasn't available as a sample at my local store. The stylist who I was so lucky to connect with was Lindsay. She was so incredibly helpful in getting information on the dress and following up with me that I was excited coming into my appointment. At first I was a little apprehensive because I didn't have a budget as large as I feel like most brides maybe do visiting the flagship, but upon my appointment starting with her that all melted away. I ended up falling in love with a completely different dress and I really appreciated Lindsay's help and honesty during my appointment. She made me feel absolutely comfortable, confident and understood. That is so important during wedding dress appointments because nerves and emotions are running high. Afterwards she followed up with me on any questions that I had and I was 1000% going to purchase my gown from the flagship because I had such an amazing experience with her and wanted the rest of my dress appointments to go the same way but unfortunately I ended up getting a lot of pressure from my local store ( The Bridal Galleria in SF, I do NOT recommend) and my mother and did not make the purchase at the flagship. That has been my biggest regret with wedding planning thus far. Don't be like me and regret your dress experience. If you've visited the Flagship or are planning on it and have your heart set on a Monique Lhuillier dress, make sure to request Lindsay and I can guarantee that you'll be in no better hands. read more

I would have expected more from such an exquisite designer, but I'm guessing the staff that takes care of the stores and online purchases clearly have no "tact." Anyway, I really did like my dress, but not for my body type. I wanted to exchange it for another, but that was "out of the question." --- BTW, with no sort of empathy either. Dude, I totally thought a MONIQUE LHUILLIER boutique on MELROSE would be full of phoney shop girls like most of the bridal salons I've been to. It's so annoying when a shop girl tells you the dress looks "GORGEOUS" on you when it's obviously so NOT. Well, I was wrong. I don't know about the other girls here, but Hannah Bergman is simply the best. There's no BS flattery and she's genuinely gracious. I didn't once feel like she was judging me when my sister and I walked-in, I admit, both looking quite disheveled. I felt like she was so patient, creative, and most importantly, authentic. Honestly, I didn't think I would like the dresses here because I didn't want to fall into a name brand trap nor was I looking for a big poufy white dress. I just wanted to see what all the hype was about. Again, I was wrong to walk in with a closed mind. Yes, the dresses here are spendy, but you can tell there is a huge difference in quality of fabrics, detailing, and design. I have all the respect for the designer and Hannah. read more

My appointment at Monique Lhuillier was a dream from beginning to end, thanks to Linda. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was lovely and asked me if there were any particular dresses I wanted to see. I told her which I was interested in, she let me know which she could get in, and voila! months later, the Candice gown I had been eyeing from the Fall 2013 collection was waiting for me in the dressing room. I wish all bridal appointments were as easy as that. As for my experience at the boutique, I cannot speak highly enough about Linda. My friend and I were arriving a half-hour late to our appointment (out GPS sent us to a Monique Lhuillier warehouse location, so be careful), and I was worried that the consultant would be annoyed with me. That couldn't have been farther from the truth. Linda was all smiles as she asked me about my wedding and which styles I was interested in. She put me in the gown I had chosen first and then suggested some other gowns that met the general description I provided for her. She was patient as my friend took photos of me in all the dresses (to send to my mom), and made sure that the train looked great in all of them. After looking more and more at the photos, I actually think that a dress Linda chose for me looks better on me than any of the dresses I chose for myself. I'd also like to say that despite arriving late, Linda did not rush me at all. She happily took me in and out of dresses, and said nothing about hurrying up for another appointment. She really is a dream to work with and not to mention super elegant and beautiful. I felt like I could trust her opinion about what looked good on me, which has definitely not been the case with other bridal consultants I've worked with. My mother and I came to Monique Lhuillier yesterday for our appointment and the bridal salon was beautiful! We were greeted at the front by my stylist Julia, where we sat and talked for a few minutes about the big day and what I was looking for in a dress. She was so sweet, gracious and warm from beginning to end, asking about me and my fiancé's love story which immediately made me feel like I was talking to a dear friend. She walked my mother and I into the show room to look at the beautiful gowns, and answered all of our questions from budget, to detail work and everything in between. In the end, I didn't find "the one" at Monique Lhuillier, but my experience was truly special with Julia, that I wanted write a review for their salon and the beautiful memory she gave my mother and I! read more

After doing the research I found out that this designer still uses fur, and that is a deal breaker for me. Cruelty towards animals for profit tells me that this designer does not deserve my support or money. It's 2021 and it's not necessary to still use fur, which is very cruel and unnecessary. read more

They are so nice here, as I would expect from such a place! Making an appointment was easy, I asked the lady if they had the particular dress I was looking for and she also told me that since this is the flagship boutique they can make a lot of custom adjustments like neck lines. My appointment was with Sharon, she was super nice although she wanted me to try on a few things that I was pretty sure I wouldn't love. I guess I could've refused but this was my first gown shopping trip and I figured I should be sure! Only advice for others is to be more clear about maybe things you for sure wouldn't like since you have about an hour and a half (at most) for your appointment. When I wanted to try on my top two choices again at the end, she kind of rushed me. I tried on probably 6-7 gowns, and did find 2 that I loved so I'd say I had enough time to do what I needed. She was good about telling me about different adjustments that the store could make for me and also what they wouldn't do which was really helpful. It's kind of hard for shorter people to get a good idea of what the dress will really look like on you because they have to sort of tuck it under or you're on a little platform and let's be real, you do not have the legs of a supermodel. They have the most amazing skinny mirrors but that doesn't help the reality check either - haha! Sharon was super nice and let me and my friend take as many photos and videos as we wanted. I was really nervous going into Monique Lhuillier due to my size. I'm a curvy size 14 and their sample sizes run in the 8 or 10 department so I had no idea how I was going to try on anything. Enter a angel, Hannah Bergman. She had more class in her pinky than some women have in their lifetime. At no point did she ever say "you can't try that on." She must be a magician because she made it work and I felt like a Princess for the first time in my life. I didn't go with ML due to budget and time concerns not because of service or quality. My wedding was being planned in under 4 months. The dresses are indeed expensive but anyone who goes to ML should know that. My choice was to spend the money on a new car (lol). If you can spend the dough, more power to you. These dresses are worth every penny. read more

I'll start off by saying I had a slight melt down, tears and all, at home before going to my first bridal shop (nervous bride!). I chose Monique as my first stop out of three to test the waters, even though I knew deep down this is where I wanted to find my dream dress. I've never left a review before, but my experience with Lindsay was off the charts and I would be doing us all a disservice if I didn't review my experience with her. Lindsay is truly dedicated and 100% amazing at her profession. She listened to my needs and concerns from the very second that I met her and she absolutely delivered on what I was asking for! She walked me through all the details of each dress, made me feel confident each time I stepped out of the dressing room, but more importantly, never pushed me into choosing a dress I didn't love. Lindsay truly guided me through the process, and what made her so special as a consultant, and something I'll never forget, is her taking a second to talk to me in the dressing room before I was going to show my family, for the second time, the final dress I wanted. She asked me for the exact reasons why I loved the dress and just talking it out with her validated exactly why I had tears in my eyes. When she saw my excitement the whole experience came full circle and I knew she was really there to help me make the best decision. I found my dream dress at ML with Lindsay and had no reason to continue shopping! Monique Lhuillier makes the most beautiful wedding dresses in my opinion. I looked at several bridal salons and was very disappointed until I walked into Monique Lhuillier. Her dresses as exquisite. Did I need to buy my dress at the store, no. But I figured, why not go to the source? I had tried on a few of her dresses at Mon Amie, but I knew that they would have the best selection. There were so many beautiful dresses to choose from. I pretty much decided which one I wanted, but went back about 2 weeks later to purchase just to be sure. My sales associate wasn't pushy, but to be honest, she wasn't all that helpful either. I can't even remember her name. I bought the ML Geisha and made a few adjustments. They make me order a 6, which is this stupid thing they like to do so you have to alter it way down (I wear a 0 or a 2). I asked for a veil that I had seen in magazines to go with it. She had me try on something similar without a blusher, I assumed it would be the same once the blusher arrived after my order was complete. Fast forward 6 months. The dress is huge of course. Thats how they make you pay the mandatory $500 alterations fee. The veil is pretty, but its not what I ordered. It turns out its not even a Monique Lhuillier veil. Um, I wouldn't have paid $1500 for a different brand. I could have gotten a $300 no name brand. After going back and forth with no store about the one I wanted actually probably not being a good fit for the dress I decide to keep it. I do my 3 fittings. The dress is beautiful as expected, but my experience was ok, not fantastic. If you want and can afford a Monique Lhuillier dress get it! But you may want to consider getting it elsewhere. read more
