The short version is, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. I paid ~$2000 for a custom wedding dress and Angel, the owner, threw in a complimentary veil, bridal robe, and free alterations. The end product was satisfactory, but not without several mistakes and unnecessary stress. Be prepared to be on TOP of the associates as the communication is nonexistent otherwise. While Angel was lovely, her sales associates need training. I wish I could have corresponded with Angel directly, as her associates seemed to not know what was going on/did not communicate. On 8/31/24, I said yes to the dress after having exhausted 6-7 bridal shops in Phoenix. I finally felt a sense of relief. I paid in FULL that day. I signed the paperwork for my dress to be ready in March 2025, two months before my wedding. The next steps were for Yesenia to send a sketch of my dress based on the designs I wanted, within a few weeks. I waited several weeks and when I didn't get anything, I reached out to Enoch (who is no longer with them). He assured me he would get on Yesenia to send the sketch. I didn't get A sketch until 11/20/24, nearly 3 months after I had already paid for my dress, and it wasn't even a sketch of my dress! I didn't get a sketch of MY dress until 11/25/24 and it looked like something she drew in 5 minutes. Very anticlimactic. After A LOT of back and forth on the finer details, I asked if the dress was ready to START production on 12/5/24. I received no response. I sent another email on 12/9/24, no response. I finally booked a flight to LA and SHOWED UP IN PERSON on 12/14 and Yesenia looked surprised to see me. She stated that she had responded production had already started on my dress, and she had sent an email but it must not have gone through. OKAY. I started emailing her again in February asking about the status of my dress: 2/3, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1. 3/1 Yesenia stated she would send me photos of my dress and book my first fitting. She never did send me photos of my dress. I had my first fitting on 3/16/25. I was expecting for all my fittings and the dress to be finalized by this point, but I was just happy there was a dress at all. The leg slit I had asked to be on the right side, was on the left side instead. Because of the way the dress was designed, it could not easily be fixed. They did not apologize for the error at any point. They did offer to REMAKE the dress, however, with my wedding less than 2 months away (5/8/25) and the TERRIBLE communication, I did not want to take that stress or risk. I had also asked for pearl buttons on the overskirt but received satin buttons. Yesenia replied that production had responded on 2/24 (to her) that pearls cost extra; at no point had she communicated this to me. She stated she would have them swapped out for the pearl buttons. On 3/27/25, I sent all the photos of the details I wanted for my veil to Yesenia. Admittedly, there were a lot of details- I wanted a cathedral veil, scallop trim with beaded edge, and for our names and the date to be embroidered. Knowing my wedding date, and that I had to leave the COUNTRY at the beginning of May, Yesenia could have prefaced that all these details would take a month+ to make- but she never stated any sort of time frame. In April, I asked if the original alterations were completed on my dress. Lots of unanswered texts. I had my 2nd fitting on 4/26, the WEEKEND before I was leaving the COUNTRY for my wedding. Luckily the dress came together, even though the leg slit was wrong. The veil was not ready for me to take home that day. Yesenia stated she could have it shipped for $8 or next day shipping for $33. I stated that I would not be paying for shipping over text, and I reiterated this again during the 2nd fitting. She agreed to wave the cost. The veil shipped on 4/28 and I received it on 4/30, a mere 3 days before leaving the country. Luckily the veil was beautiful, albeit the embroidery was smaller than I expected- but everything was spelled correctly (a point I reiterated multiple times via text). At the end of the day, everything turned out OKAY but it certainly was unnecessarily stressful and unenjoyable. I didn't have the dress of my dreams (because of the leg slit on the wrong side- and I didn't utilize the leg slit on the left side) which is crushing when you're promised it and PAYING for it. I don't recommend Lucky Brides for your peace of mind. read more

We were originally promised to have the complete dress 2 months prior to the wedding but it continued to be worked on to the day before the wedding. They acted like they were doing us a favor by "working on it last minute just for us". We didn't want to be here last minute. It was so stressful being days away with an incomplete dress. It was a bunch of excuses with the owner blaming the previous associate who no longer worked there. This shouldn't be a free get out of jail card. Take responsibility of your business. The owner just kept promising that everything would come together and to "trust me". They told us the dress would be ready the day before our wedding. We were worried because we were only 3 days away from the wedding and we only had their words of promise. They told us it would be ready on Saturday at 2:00 pm. We went to go pick it up the day before our wedding and they were still working on it. Furthermore, the dress wasn't what my wife was expecting. She was shown pictures of customizations that she could choose from and the final result looked nothing like it. The owner argued that the pictures were not part of the documented contract and that they could not make it look like the pictures my wife was shown by this company. We shouldn't have been told this 1 day before the wedding. They showed those pictures to my wife 4 months before our wedding. The owner also argued that the pictures were from "e-commerce" and it wasn't realistic. Why did they even show her those pictures? My wife asked for compensation since they said it was impossible to make the dress as they showed her in the pictures previously. The owner refused to fix the dress and refused to give any sort of credit. Instead they threatened to take the dress back in exchange for our money back because they said they can sell it for more to someone else. We were literally 1 day away from the wedding. We had no choice. Don't be fooled by the prices and pictures they show you. read more

Beware that this place is a scam because many promises made by Angel, the owner, were not kept. The dress I ordered was not delivered as promised. I chose this shop because they told me that I can customize the entire dress. They told me that they were able to make the bottom of the dress with ruffles. They texted me 4 pictures of different ruffle styles and I chose one. I was excited for my dress even though I couldn't see a sample. However, when it arrived it looked nothing like the 4 layered ruffles in the picture of the ruffle style I requested. They added extra fabric but the skirt still was not even close to the picture provided. When I confronted the owner about this issue, they blamed their previous employee. They argued that the picture was a completely different dress and an e-commerce picture that they couldn't make mine into, even though they were the ones who sent it to me as a choice for my dress. They continued to make excuses saying that ruffles and fabric are complicated and that they could not do it. They should have told me that up front and not 3 days before my wedding. In addition, my dress was incomplete even the day before my wedding date. I requested to pick up dress 2 months early and they acknowledged by noting it on my order. The first red flag is that they didn't even start making my dress 3 months after I paid. They were asking for the style and how to customize the ruffles, which should've been done from the beginning. The unaltered dress arrived at the shop 1 month later than promised and it was through me texting multiple times. No one answered when I called the owner, shop, and staff. I got really worried when there was no answer, reply, or status updates 2 weeks away from my wedding. The staff who helped me either quit or fired by owner and the owner does not know the alterations noted by the staff. It's unprofessional of the owner to not communicate with the staff and blame the staff who is no longer with the company. The owner promised that the alterations would be completed the day before my wedding when I specifically said I didn't want to pick it up the day before my wedding. They pretended that they were making last minute accommodations just for me. I didn't want my dress to be worked on the last minute. The bustle was not complete at the agreed appointment time the day before my wedding. I cannot describe how happy I am with how my dress turned out!! I felt like a princess in it and my husband loved it!! It was just stunning Angel was amazing and so helpful and helped me get my dream dress and for a great price too!! I sent her pictures and a video of a similar dress I tried on and told her exactly what I wanted to change about it and she wrote everything down on the agreement and we paid in full on December 1st. I told her I wanted my dress to be done in May or June because I'm traveling for my wedding in July. I had to reach out to Angel herself at the end of December, end of January, March, April, and May because I never got any updates and I started to worry, but Angel always got back to me and reassured me that they're still working on the structure of the dress because that takes the longest time. Finally at the end of May, Angel schedules me for a fitting appointment for mid June, but I still haven't seen any pictures of my dress at all or any proof of them working on it, and to be honest, I was concerned. I called her the day before the appointment to confirm it and that's when she sends me the very first picture of my dress (picture one attached). It looked so so pretty and I was so relieved because I was worried they won't get the details or the fabric right because of how complicated and extensive the beadings are but it actually turned out to be very accurate to how I wanted the details to be. When I went to the fitting appointment I told Angel that I did not want that much cleavage and it was too open than what we agreed on and that it will need alterations to fix it (picture 2 attached). She talked me through the process of how we can fix it and was so so helpful trying to make me comfortable and to get it to look exactly how I wanted it. We had one more fitting appointment, then finally on July 6, I went to pick it up and it was perfect! I would highly recommend lucky brides to anyone, specially if they wanted to customize their dress. I would just give them a few tips: - Get Angel's own phone number and contact her herself for updates about your dress. She's the only one who knows what's going on with your dress and she's the only one who can keep things moving. You (the customer) should contact her every now and then to remind her of what needs to be done next and she will make it happen for you. - While writing down the agreement the day you say yes to the dress, write down EXACTLY how you want your dress with every single detail. This helps the team know exactly what to do and for them to have something to go back to for reference. - You have to trust Angel. I know it's hard to trust someone to do something so important for you but I assure you, Angel is very knowledgeable in this area and she can do this. My experience with this bridal shop has been nothing but a nightmare. I had bought my dress with the delivery date of May 22,2023. I was completely unaware that the dress was made overseas in a warehouse in Japan. The owner Angel provided falsified shipping information in an attempt to mislead me into being comfortable with the later date. After being led on multiple times and thinking that the dress was going to come on the expected delivery date, it never did. The dress I tried on, looks completely different from the dress that was made in Japan. The material is much cheaper, and there are literal handfuls of glitter coming off the dress. I have been planning my destination wedding for over a year, but unfortunately, as we all know there are various bumps along that wedding planning journey. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a priest willing to marry us outside of a church, so we had to quickly pivot and plan a church ceremony locally a week before our destination wedding. I desperately had to find an additional dress for this church ceremony with only a few weeks left to find the perfect dress and alter it if needed. We had a list of shops that we planned to visit, but many of the shops would not see me due to not having an appointment and with such short notice. Angel, graciously took us into her shop and provided us with a private appointment! We had her whole shop to ourselves - she was so very attentive and patient. Ahhh i said YES to the dress at Lucky brides! I had such a wonderful experience everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I had been looking for my "Cinderella" dress. This was my first time here, came in as a walk-in, Angel quickly let us look around and see what we like. My stylist (i forgot her name ) was so supportive and reassuring; heard what i liked and didn't like... & quickly adjusted to what I was looking for... & she did! She pulled out a 3rd dress & it was EXACTLY what i had envisioned my Cinderella dress to be. The moment I put it on I knew it was meant for me. if i could give this bridal boutique MORE stars, i would. they truly deserve it. i'm a december 2023 bride who got engaged june 2023. i started to look at dresses shortly after i got engaged and went to the first thing every bride usually tends to gravitate to first, david's bridal. after trying on multiple dresses there, there was something telling me that it wasn't it & that i need to keep looking. maybe bc i didn't know exactly what i wanted. so i kept looking. i did all my research on what dress i really wanted. so i called all these boutiques all through out the LA area. after going to the appointments i had set up at another boutique, i was walked out even more confused than i did walking in. i was told by these boutiques that there were no pictures allowed, i couldn't know what the reference style number was on the dresses, i couldn't even know the price of the dress. i was even told that i was somewhat crazy for looking for a dress so late in the game if i was trying to pull off a december wedding. you don't even understand how my heart felt in that moment. i was so discouraged and felt so defeated. like what do you mean i can't take pictures?? i cant have something to refer back on? i'm a bride, there's a million things on my mind. there is no way i'm going to be able to remember which dress i liked after trying many dresses. as a bride, my memory can be a little limited LOL. my SIL suggested that we just grab coffee somewhere nearby and regroup our thoughts. IM SO GLAD SHE SUGGESTED THIS. this is where she went on yelp and saw Lucky Brides was just a 5 min walk. she asked me if i wanted to check them out. i said sure. tbh, i wasn't too excited. maybe bc my heart still felt heavy from the previous boutique. but i was just thinking to myself "oh great i'm going to be disappointed again". she called them, and they answered that they do accept walk ins and to come in. so we did. IMMEDIATELY, we were greeted with such warming personalities. you can tell that the vibes were nothing but positive and welcoming. i showed angel a picture my dream dress. i told her it didn't need to be exact, but similar. WITHOUT ANY HESITATION, SHE SMILED AND SAID " I HAVE IT" and went to work. i sat down as i watched her pull 3 dresses from her racks. she had me try on the first two dresses. the first 2 dresses were very similar to what i had in mind but it just didn't feel right still. as i was changing out of the 2nd one... she said "i saved the best for last and i know this is going to be the one" SHE WAS RIGHT. THE LAST DRESS WAS THE ONE. immediately tears rolled down my face as i looked in the mirror. my heavy heart suddenly wasn't heavy anymore. i couldn't believe it. it definitely was my dream dress. i couldn't stop looking in the mirror. every time i looked in the mirror, you would see a smile on my face. during this time, angel and her team were not pushy one bit for me to get the dress. it felt as if they were on my team on the hunt for the perfect dress. i had told angel what customizations i wanted to make the dress even more perfect. she smiled and said "no problem". i definitely said yes to the dress. angel and her team went to work. they took my measurements and submitted my order. now we're here, 2 months away from my wedding day and i picked up my dress over the weekend. first of all, it arrived sooner than i had expected. second, IT REALLY IS MY PERFECT DRESS. i tried on the dress and all the emotions came back. my heart felt at peace. angel and her team did create my dream dress with all of the customizations i asked for. i couldn't be any happier. i highly highly recommend any bride who's looking for a dress to come to Lucky Brides. they will take care of you!!! angel and the team, i am so thankful for your help through this process. you guys have made my whole experience the best. i cannot thank you enough for helping me create my dream dress. i am so so so so happy that i said yes to the dress at Lucky Brides. read more

My family loves this shop! We came for my sisters wedding with myself and my mother and we were welcomed with warm welcomes and excellent service. The shop was very clean and organized with a variety of different dresses. The dresses are so beautiful and designed by the owner and workers which are all so lovely. The prices for the dresses and package are very reasonable and the owner was able to accommodate to our tight budget which we are forever grateful for.
